Objective To investigate the related risk factors referred to hematoma enlargement in acute stage of spontaneous cerebral hemorrhage.Methods 104 stroke patients were divided into the observation group(hematoma enlarged group) and control group (without hematoma enlarged group).The course of disease,mean arterial pressure,the bleeding amount of the first time,hematoma shape and mortality were compared between the two groups,and the risk factors of hematoma enlargement of cerebral hemorrhage patients were analyzed.Results (1) The course of disease,mean arterial pressure,hematoma shape and the bleeding amount were significantly different between the two groups(t =9.5431,11.4499,6.1847,10.7233,all P ＜ 0.05).(2) The multivariate logistic regression analysis showed that factors of influence on hematoma enlargement were mean arterial blood pressure,the course of disease and hematoma shape.(3)The mortality of the observation group was 36.53 ％,which was significantly higher than that of the control group (19.23 ％) (χ2 =3.8731,P ＜ 0.05).Conclusion High level of mean arterial blood pressure,short time of interval to onset,irregular shape of hematoma and frequent vomiting are main risk factors of hematoma enlargement in patients with intracerebral hemorrhage at acute stage.

Objective To explore the roles and possible mechanism of calcium-sensing receptor(CaSR) in cell cardiac hypertrophy model using angiotensin Ⅱ (Ang Ⅱ ).Methods The cultured neonatal rat ventricular myocytes were treated with Ang Ⅱ as cell cardiac hypertrophy model.Hypertrophic neonatal rat cardiomyocytes were treated with GdCl3(a specific agonist of CaSR) and/or with Ro318220(a specific inhibitor of PKC pathway).To evaluate the status of cardiac hypertrophy,cell diameter was observed by HE dyeing,and protein content was determined through coomassie brilliant blue protein kit.The intracellular calcium concentration( [ Ca2+]i) was determined by laser scanning confocal microscope.The protein expression of CaSR and PKC pathway were analyzed using Western blotting.Results ①Compared to the control group(0.1263 ± 0.0443),the protein expression of CaSR was increased in Ang Ⅱ group and in GdCl3 group(0.1963 ± 0.0375,0.2778 ± 0.0564,all P＜ 0.05).Moreover,compared with Ang Ⅱ alone,the increase was significant in GdCl3 group(P ＜ 0.05).②Compared to control group(222.70 ± 22.09),AngⅡ group(392.16 ± 36.85) remarkably increased [Ca2+]i(P＜ 0.05),and this increase of [Ca2+]i was further enhanced in GdCl3 group (502.60 ± 44.21) versus Ang Ⅱ group (P ＜ 0.05).③Compared to control group,Ang Ⅱ could induce cardiomyocyte hypertrophy,and GdCl3 enhanced the effect.Moreover,this enhancement was attenuated by Ro318220.④Compared to control group(0.27 ± 0.07,0.69 ± 0.06,0.87 ± 0.04),the protein expression of PKCα,PKCε and PKCδ was increased in Ang Ⅱ group(0.60 ± 0.16,1.02 ± 0.13,1.20 ± 0.18,all P＜ 0.05) and the protein expression of PKCα,PKCε was increased in GdCl3 group(0.82 ± 0.16,1.34 ± 0.12,all P ＜ 0.05).Moreover,compared with Ang Ⅱ group,the protein expression of PKCα,PKCε was obviously increased in GdCl3 group (all P ＜ 0.05);compared with GdCl3 group,the protein expression of PKCα,PKCε(0.41 ± 0.10,0.85 ± 0.14) was obviously decreased in Ro318220 group(all P ＜ 0.05).Conclusions CaSR is involved in cardiac hypertrophy induced by Ang Ⅱ through PKC pathway in cultured neonatal rat cardiomyocytes.

Objective To investigate the association of single nucleotide polymorphisms(SNP)in p21and p27 genes with the risk of epithelial ovarian cancer(EOC).Methods Genotypes were analyzed by polymerase chain reaction-restrictive fragment length polymorphism(PCR-RFLP)method in 234 patients with EOC and 284 control women in China.Results (1)The frequencies of the p21 in healthy controls were 34.2%.49.6%and 16.2%,while the distribution of the C and T allele was 59.0%and 41.0%,respectively.The p21 C/C(28.2%),C/T(53.0%),T/T(18.8%)distribution in ovarian cancer patients was not significantly different from that in healthy controls(P＞0.05).There was no statistic difference in allele distribution between ovarian cancer patients and healthy controls(P＞0.05)either.The stratification analysis by tumor histological type did show that the genotype distribution in four types of ovarian cancer patients was significantly different from that in healthy controls(P=0.02).The C/C genotype was likely to reduce the risk of epithelial endometrial cancer.and the adjusted odds ratio was 0.56(95%CI:0.32-0.98).(2)The genotype frequencies of the p27 in healthy controls were 88.4%,10.9%and 0.7%.while the distribution of the V and G allele was 93.8%and 6.2%.respectively.The V/V(93.6%),V/G(5.1%)and G/G(1.3%)distribution in ovarian cancer patients was significantly different from that in healthy controls(P=0.04).There was no statistic difference in allele distributionbetween ovarian cancer patients and healthy controls(P＞0.05).Compared with the V/G and G/G genotypes,the V/V genotype increased the risk of EOC,the adjusted odds ratio was 1.92(95%CI:1.02-3.63).Conclusion The C/C genotype of p21 may reduce the risk of epithelial endometrial cancer,and the genotype of p27 V/V may be a potential risk factor for susceptibility to EOC.

Objective To explore the diagnosis,treatment and nursing of the patients complicated with pneumocystis carinii pneumonia (PCP) after renal transplantation,and to enhance the treatment effect of the disease.Methods The treatment and nursing processes of 37 patients complicated with PCP after renal transplantation in department of organ transplantation were retrospectively analyzed in the First Affiliated Hospital of China Medical University from May 1992 to July 2011.And the key points during nursing work were summarized.Results Of the total 37 patients,10 patients occurred respiratory failure,they were all treated by noninvasive ventilation,among which 6 patients were converted to tracheal intubation or tracheotomy mechanical ventilation.5 patients appeared rising serum creatinine(Scr) during treatment,but recovered to normal level after discontinuing SMZco for 1 week.4 patients died unfortunately,and the others were cured and discharged.Conclusions The occurrence of PCP after renal transplantation is closely related to the immune state of the patients,thus the priority of treatment for PCP should be prevention.Once happened,nursing care in aid is particularly important,then nurses should encourage patients to cooperate with treatment,relieve symptoms after infection,and promote recovery as well.

Background and purpose:The E-cadherin as a pivotal structural protein is important for cellular polarity and maintainance of normal tissue morphology and cellular differentiation. Recently some study investigated the impact of the C/A genetic polymorphism at-160 from the site of the E-cadherin gene promoter on susceptibility in NPC. To evaluate the association of the E-cadherin gene promoter-160 C/A single nucleotide polymorphism (SNP) and nasopharyngeal carcinoma risk in a Chinese population, we designed a hospital-based case-control study. Methods:Subjects included in this study were 303 patients deifnitely diagnosed with NPC, and 318 matched healthy controls. We used TaqMan Probe method for analyzing polymorphism. Results:The A/A genotype was associated with increased risk of NPC after being adjusted for age and gender (adjusted OR=2.09, 95%CI:1.03-4.22, P=0.04). When 2 gender groups were analysed respectively, female group with A/A genotypes showed a higher risk (OR=7.57, 95%CI:1.57-36.47, P=0.012). Besides, among NPC patients compared with males A/A genotype, females with A/A genotype had a signiifcant risk(OR=2.66, 95%CI:1.14-6.20, P=0.024). Conclusion:The A/A genotype of E-cadherin promoter-160 C/A might be genetic risk factor for NPC, especially female patients.

To study the toxicokinetics of bakuchiol, hepatic and renal toxicity in rats after single oral administration of Psoraleae Fructus and combined with Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma, in order to provide scientific evidences for clinical safe medication use. A total of 35 SD rats were randomly divided into seven groups: vehicle (distilled water) control group, Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma group, positive control (aristolochic acid A) group, Psoraleae Fructus (40 g x kg(-1)) group( both male and female rats), Psoraleae Fructus and Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma (40 +20) g x kg(-1) group (both male and female rats). HPLC-UV method was used to determine the concentration of bakuchiol in rat plasma at different time points after single oral administration. Plasma alanine transaminase (ALT), aspartate aminotransferase (AST), blood urea nitrogen (BUN), plasma creatinine (Cr), N-acetyl-β-D-glucosaminidase (NAG) and kidney injury molecule 1 (Kim-1) were measured after administration for 24 h. The main toxicokinetics parameters of bakuchiol in rats exert significantly gender difference. When Psoraleae Fructus combination with Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma, the total area under the plasma concentration-time curve( AUC), C(max), and plasma clearance (CL) of bakuchiol were increased, respectively; CL, half-life (t½) were decreased, and T(max) were prolonged. The biochemical indicators (including ALT, AST, BUN, Cr and KIM-1 level) in different dose of Psoraleae Fructus groups, were found no statistically significant difference when compared with vehicle control group. The level of NAG in both Psoraleae Fructus and compatibility with Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma groups were significant increased (P < 0.05). There are obvious effects on toxicokinetics of bakuchiol in rats when Psoraleae Fructus combined with Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma. Renal toxicity induced by Psoraleae Fructus at high dose was observed after single oral administration and no liver damage in rats was found.

BACKGROUND:Conventional rehabilitation evaluation call not provide more objective data for analysis,so all innovative method to monitor rehabilitation of the cervical spine is introduced.OBJECTIVE:The monitoring rehabilitation system of the cervical spine develops independently under Visual Basic 6.0 environment.It can gather both video and photos at dynamic and static states.According to the suitable feature points of the video,the system could calculate characteristic parameters,such as moving angles,distances,speed,acceleration,and integral curves.Thus,the system could create patients'database.RESULTS:The system could calculate different kinds of patients'characteristic parameters through data recording.Through the objective comparison of characteristic parameters,the turning flexibility of head and controlling capability for head turning could be reflected.CONCLUSl0N:The design is an innovation in the monitoring rehabilitation systems of the cervical spine.It makes up the shortcomings of conventional rehabilitation evaluation and objectively reflects the rehabilitation status of patients.

OBJECTIVETo study the anticancer action of Zuojinwan in mice transplanted with sarcoma 180 in vivo, and detect the activities of five kinds of tumor markers (TM) including acid phosphotase (ACP), alkaline phosphotase (AKP), creatine kinase (CK), aldolase (ALD) and lactate dehydrogenase (LDH) in serum compared with Coptis chinensis and Evodia rutaecarpa.

METHODThe transplanted S180 tumor mice model was established, and the mice were divided randomly five groups. The extract of Zuojinwan (850.8 mg kg(-1)), C. chinensis (729.2 mg kg(-1)) and E. rutaecarpa (121.6 mg kg(-1)) were administrated, respectively for 10 d. Then, the changes of body weight, spleen index of mice, the inhibition rates of tumor, and the increase of life span (ILS) were all tested. In addition, the activities of ACP, AKP, CK, ALD and LDH on different test groups were also determined.

RESULTZuojinwan could inhibit the S180 tumor growth significantly with the inhibition rate of 50.54% and the ILS of mice reached to 64.91%. Meanwhile, the activities of ACP (126.72 +/- 11.16) U 100 mL(-1) and AKP (67.27 +/- 13.49) U 100 mL(-1) were increased, and the activities of CK (20.65 +/- 4.28) U mL(-1), ALD (319.13 +/- 53.87) U L(-1) and LDH (1,029.04 +/- 468.56) U L(-1) were decreased significantly by Zuojinwan treated group compared with C. chinensis and E. rutaecarpa treated groups (P<0.01).

CONCLUSIONIn the prescription of Zuojinwan, the enhancement of compatibility of anticancer activity was observed by the interaction of C. chinensis and E. rutaecarpa. The mechanism might be in according with to influence the activities of the five kinds of tumor markers (TM) in mice serum.
