China Pharmacy 2007;0(25):-
OBJECTIVE: To study the protective effects of nimesulide, a COX- 2 selective inhibitor on experimental gastric ulcer in rats. METHODS: The gastric ulcer model was established in rats by intragastric administration them with indometacin, 5 min later, which were assigned to receive nimesulide at different dosages ( 200, 100, and 50mg? kg- 1) , 6h later, all the rats were sacrificed. The primary outcome measures were the area of ulcer, levels of SOD, MDA, and GSH in sera and gastric mucosa. RESULTS: As compared with model group, in nimesulide ( at different dosage) groups, the area of ulcer was markedly decreased, level of MDA was decreased while activities of SOD and GSH were increased ( P
2.Local Angiogenesis and Neurological Functional Recovery After Cerebral Ischemia
International Journal of Cerebrovascular Diseases 2006;0(10):-
Cerebral ischemia activates endogenous angiogenic factors, and increase microvessel density and form new capillaries in ischemic brain tissues.Exogenous angiogenic factors can more effectively promote angiogenesis and the establishment of collateral circulation in ischemic regions and peripherial tissues, improving local blood supply and reducing infarct size. The further study of the mechanisms and methods in promoting regional angiogenesis after cerebral ischemia will contribute to improve neurologic deficit.

OBJECTIVETo explore the laws of anovulatory infertility patients of Gan-yin deficiency syndrome (GYDS), and to analyze the correlation between GYDS and partial sex hormones and metabolic parameters.
METHODSRecruited were 103 anovulatory infertility patients, including 48 of GYDS and 55 of non-GYDS. At the same time, 20 healthy pluripara at the child-bearing period were recruited as the control group. The body mass index (BMI) and waist to hip ratio (WHR) were measured. Serum levels of luteinizing hormone (LH), follicle stimulating hormone (FSH), testosterone (T), prolactin (PRL), estradiol (E2), sex hormone binding globulin (SHBG), fasting blood glucose (FBG), fasting insulin (FINS), total cholesterol (TC), triglyceride (TG), low density lipoprotein-cholesterol (LDL-C), high density lipoprotein-cholesterol (HDL-C), and leptin were detected. The inter-group difference of the above indices was compared between the two groups.
RESULTSLevels of BMI, FINS, HOMA-IRI, leptin, TC, TG, LDL-C, T, PRL, and LH were higher in the GYDS group and the non-GDS group than in the control group (P < 0.01, P < 0.05), while SHBG was lower in the GYDS group and the non-GYDS group than in the control group (P < 0.01). Only the PRL level was higher in the GYDS group than in the non-GYDS group (P < 0.01).
CONCLUSIONSGan-yin deficiency is a predominant manifestation in anovulatory infertility patients. Partial disorder of some sex hormones and metabolic derangement might be common pathological factors for anovulatory infertility, while increased PRL levels was dominant in GYDS.

To study the expression of HCV non-structure 5 antigen in vitro, a human HepG2 cell line was incubated with a HCV RNA positive serum. The S ABC i mmunological techniques and gold-labeled colloid electron microscopy method wer e employed to examine for the viral proteins in those cells. The HCV non-struct ure 5 antigen was first detected in the HepG2 cells at 72 hours post incubation. The antigen was continuously observed in the cytoplasm or on the membrane as we ll on the cell wall of the HepG2 cells even after 1, 2, 3 and 4 weeks post incub ation. The observation of HCV non-structure 5 antigen continuously expressed in the HepG2 cells strongly indicates that the cells may have been infected by HCV virus and the virus may have replicated in the cells. Therefore, the HepG2 cell line may be served as a potential host for establishment of HCV infection and p ropagation in vitro.

Journal of Applied Clinical Pediatrics 2003;0(10):-
Objective To summarize the clinical characteristics, diagnosis and treatment of pulmonary sequestration(PS) in children. Methods The clinical data of 19 children with PS confirmed by operation and(or) imaging examination from Mar.2003 to May.2008 were analyzed retrospectively.Thirteen cases were male, and 6 cases were female. One case was newborn infant.Seventeen cases received operation.Intralober type had a pulmonary lobectomy and extralobar type had a sequestrectomy.Chest X-ray and CT scan examinations were performed on the patients before operation. Results Seventeen cases got complete cure by operation, and the mean age at operation was 5.2 years.Chest enhanced CT indicated abnormal feeding arteries.Lobectomy was performed in 13 cases of intralobar PS,4 cases of extralobar PS were resected in the separated lung tissue, and all patients had unilateral lesions. No late deaths occurred in this group except 1 case who was complicated with malformation, and the postoperative follow-up showed an excellent recovery. Conclusions The main diagnostic methods of PS are CT and angiography. The diagnosis of PS can be confirmed when systemic feeding arteries are indicated on enhanced CT scans.Surgical resection is the main choice of treatment in all cases of PS in order to prevent recurrent infection and hemoptysis. The excellent results can be obtained by surgery.

It is an important teaching task how to make respiratory disease specialists to accept the standardization training of pulmonary function. However, the theory of pulmonary function is comparatively abstract and the training time is short, but the task is heavy. In order to explore a set of feasible training mode, the pulmonary function laboratory of Zhongshan Hospital affiliated to Fudan University carries out various forms of training, such as compiling textbooks, establishing case database, using multimedia teach-ing, arranging one-to-one guided teaching, and training the ability of doctor-patient communication.
