Objective To discuss the safety and efficacy of hysteroscopy in the diagnosis and treatment of intrauterine adhesions (IUA). Methods Clinical data of 108 patients who had been treated by transcervical resection of adhesions (TCRA) under B-ultrasound and/or laparoscopic monitoring from January 1998 to August 2002 in this center were reviewed. Results Intraoperative B-ultrasound monitoring was used in 59 cases and B-ultrasound combined with laparoscopic monitoring was used in 49 cases. Complications occurred in 7 cases (3 cases of hemorrhage and 4 cases of uterine perforation) and were cured after proper treatment. Follow-up checkups in 84 cases showed a total effective rate of 82.1% (69/84). The effective rate in patients with a menorrhea, hypomenorrhea and irregular menstruation was 87.0% (40/46), in patients with infertility and habitual abortion was 42.9% (6/14), and in patients with abdominal pain and failing to remove IUD was 95.8% (23/24). Conclusions Diagnosis and treatment of IUA by hysteroscopy is microtraumatic and effective. B-ultrasound and/or laparoscopic monitoring is the key to the operation safety and success.

Objective:To examine the relationships between acute stress disorder (ASD) symptoms,posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD) symptoms and depressive symptoms in children survivors following the Lushan earthquake in China.Methods:One hundred ninety-seven children aged 1 to 14years (93 male and 104 female) were followed up at two and six weeks after Lushan earthquake.The ASDS,UCLA PTSD Reaction Index and DASS were used to measure the ASD,PTSD and depressive symptoms.Results:The average scores of ASDS and the depression subscale of DASS at two weeks after earthquake were(36.5 ± 10.9) and (3.3 ± 2.8),respectively.The average scores of UCLA PTSD Reaction Index and the depression subscale of DASS-21 at six weeks after earthquake were (18.5 ± 12.6) and (3.3 ± 3.5),respectively.The rates of ASD and PTSD were 28.6％ and 8.2％,respectively.The cross-lagged structural equation analysis with latent variables indicated that the ASD symptoms at two weeks after earthquake positively predicted PTSD symptoms (β =0.59,p ＜ 0.001) and depressive symptoms (β =0.29,p ＜0.001) at six weeks after earthquake.But there was no significant association between depressive symptoms at two weeks and PTSD symptoms at six weeks after earthquake.Conclusion:ASD symptoms in the early time postearthquake could predict subsequent PTSD and depressive symptoms,while depressive symptoms tend to remain stable within six weeks after earthquake.

Objective To test the association between mitochondrial DNA(mtDNA) point mutations and praecox Parkinson's disease (PPD),and to investigate the characteristics of mtDNA mutations in Chinese patients with PPD. Methods Screening mtDNA A4336C, G5460A,A10398G,A13780G point mutations in 40 patients with PPD and 48 in control group was carried out by using Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR), dot blotting, radiant developing. And sequencing was given to the nucleotide position (np)10256～np10577mtDNA of 20 patients with PPD and 20 subjects in control group.Results Out of the 40 patients with PPD, 20 (50%)had A10398G mutation. 6 (15%) had G5460A, 5(12.5%) had A13780G, 2 (5%)had A4336C, 19 (47.5%)had C10400T mutation. Out of the 48 controls, 7(14.6%) had A10398G, 24.2% had G5460A, 1 (2.1%)had A13780G and 20 (41.7%)had C10400T, but no any A4336C mutation was found in the controls. Objective To explore the role of protein kinase C(PKC) to regulate the activation of nuclear factor-?B(NF-?B)in T lymphocyte in children with acute idiopathic thrombocytopenic purpura(ITP).Methods Sterility peripheral blood was collected from acute ITP children(n=30)and healthy children(n=30).T lymphocytes were isolated and purified,and divided into 3 groups:control group,PMA group stimulated with PMA,PMA plus H-7 group stimulated with PMA and H-7.The expression of NF-?B and inhibitor protein-?B(I-?B)was detected by immunohistochemical staining and Western blot,respectively.Results The percentage of cells with active NF-?B was significantly higher and the expression level of I-?B was significantly lower in acute ITP PMA group than that in acute ITP control group and normal PMA group,respectively(all P
