Journal of Applied Clinical Pediatrics 1992;0(06):-
Objective To evaluate the effects of recombinant human growth hormone(r- hGH)replacement therapy on glucose metabolism in children with growth hormone deficiency(GHD) Methods Replacement therapy with domestic r - hGH was done in 15 children with GHD for 3 months. Oral glucose tolerance test (OGTT) and insulin .releasing test (IRT) were performed before and after 3 months of r-hGH replacement therapy. Venous blood was sampled before and 30,60,120 min after glucose load for measurements of plasma glucose (PG) and insulin (INS).Results OGTT were normal in 15 patients before treatment. After 3 months of r-hGH therapy, fasting plasma glucose remained unchanged, but PG 30 min(P

Objective To study the diagnostic value of TREM-1,PCT and CD64 in children with sepsis disease and its effect on the application of low dose hormone. Methods 80 cases children with septic disease who received therapy from September 2014 to September 2016 in the third affiliated hospital of wenzhou medical university,28 cases of severe sepsis disease,52 cases of general sepsis disease, and selected 40 cases of healthy children in our hospital during the same period, the levels of TREM-1,PCT,CD64 of three groups were compared. And through the random number table method, those 80 cases children with sepsis disease were divided into the observation group(n=40) and the control group(n=40),the control group was treated with routine treatment, while the observation group was treated with hydroprednisone on the basis of the control group, after treatment for seven days, the levels of TREM-1,PCT,CD64 of two groups were compared. Results The levels of TREM-1, PCT and CD64 in the severe sepsis disease group and general sepsis disease group were higher than the healthy group(P<0.05),and the levels of TREM-1, PCT and CD64 in severe sepsis disease group were significantly higher than the general sepsis disease group(P<0.05).After treatment, the levels of TREM-1,PCT and CD64 were improved in two groups of patients with sepsis disease(P<0.05),after treatment of one day and seven days, the levels of TREM-1,PCT and CD64 in observation group were lower than in the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion TREM-1,PCT,CD64 levels can be used as early detection in children with sepsis disease, low dose glucocorticoid can effectively reduce the expression of TREM-1,PCT and CD64 levels in children with sepsis,it's conducive to the disease control.

Journal of Integrative Medicine 2007;5(1):70-3
OBJECTIVE: To study the mechanism of herbal application along meridians for treatment and prevention of asthma by using serum pharmacological test to observe the effects of serum containing herbs against the constriction of tracheal spiral strips induced by acetylcholine chloride (Ach). METHODS: Guinea pigs were randomly divided into normal control group, normal saline (NS) application group, aminophylline application group, aminophylline injection group, 1-day herb application group, 7-day herb application group and 14-day herb application group. Asthma was induced by Hutson's method in guinea pigs except the normal control group. Guinea pigs in herb application groups were treated by external application of a compound herbal medicine 60 min once every day. Guinea pigs in NS application group were treated by external application of NS. Guinea pigs in the two aminophylline-treated groups were treated by external application and intraperitoneal injection of aminophylline at a dose of 400 mg/kg, respectively. The guinea pigs were killed and the sera were obtained after 1-day, 7-day and 14-day treatment in the three herb application groups, 7-day treatment in the NS application group, the aminophylline application and injection groups, respectively. Serum pharmacological method was used to do the experiment, the effects of different sera on the constriction of tracheal strips were observed, and the constriction rates were calculated. RESULT: The serum containing herbs had an effect in reducing the constriction of tracheal spiral strips induced by Ach, and the effect was similar to that of the serum obtained from the aminophylline injection group. The constriction rate of the tracheal spiral strips was decreased when herbal application treatment was prolonged within a period of time, and it became stable when herbal application treatment was between 7-14 days. The constriction of tracheal spiral strips induced by Ach could be reduced remarkably when it was previously treated by serum containing herbs. CONCLUSION: The anti-acetylcholine function with a time-dependent effect is one of the mechanisms of herbal application treatment along meridians for asthma, and furthermore, herbal application treatment along meridians might be useful for preventing asthma.

Chinese Journal of Hypertension 2007;0(04):-
Objective To investigate the effect of atorvastatin on circulating endothelial progenitor cells (EPCs) and BP in hypertensive patients with normal lipid profiles. Methods Thirty-eight hypertensive patients were randomly to receive conventional anti-hypertensive drugs (n=18) or conventional anti-hypertensive drugs plus atorvastatin(20 mg QN)combination treatment (n=20).Eight healthy subjects were given atorvastatin (20 mg QN) for 8 weeks as control group. Before and after treatment, peripheral blood were drawn to isolate and culture EPCs.The circulating EPCs were identified by direct fluorescent staining under a laser scanning confocal micro- scope.EPCs populations were assessed using the colony forming unit assay (EPC-CFU) through a inverted phase contrast microscope 10 days after culture. Results After treatment,SBP was decreased (conventional treatment from 165.8?10.3 to 132.7?10.3 mmHg;combined group from 163.7?10.2 to 127.9?10.1 mmHg P

Journal of Clinical Pediatrics 2013;(9):817-819
Objective To explore the relationship between 5-minute Apgar score and heart rate variability (HRV) in severely asphyxiated neonates. Methods A total of 103 severely asphyxiated neonates with 1-minute Apgar score of 0 to 3 points were selected. They were divided into Group A (>7 points, n=50) and Group B (≤7 points, n=53) based on 5-minute Apgar score. Meanwhile, 40 full-term neonates with 1-and 5-minute Apgar score greater than 7 points were selected as control group. 24-hour dynamic electrocardiogram was performed and HRV was analyzed on the third day after birth in three groups. Results PNN50, rMSSD, SDSD were decreased and SDNN, SDANN were increased in group B as compared with group A and control group (P<0.05). No signiifcant difference of HRV was observed between group A and control group (P>0.05). Conclusions Neonatal asphyxia can cause damage to autonomic nervous system. 5-minute Apgar score and HRV can be joint-ly used as a non-invasive index in autonomic nervous damage and its prognosis in asphyxiated newborns.

Journal of Clinical Pediatrics 2013;(7):615-617
Objectives To evaluate the clinical value of heart rate variability (HRV) analysis in school-age healthy chil-dren with functional ST-T changes in electrocardiogram (ECG). Methods In 143 school-age children (50 cases of functional ST-T changes, 43 cases of myocarditis children with ST-T change, 50 cases of healthy controls without ST-T changes), HRV time domain value was measured in three groups with 24 dynamic electrocardiogram. Results Compared with healthy controls, PNN50, rMSSD and SDSD were decreased while the heart rate, SDNN and SDANN were increased in children with functional ST-T changes (P all<0.05). Meanwhile, compared with children with functional ST-T changes and healthy controls, the heart rate was increased while PNN50, rMSSD, SDSD, SDNN and SDANN were decreased in the myocarditis children with ST-T change (P<0.05). Conclusions The autonomic nervous system of school-age children is not stable. The functional ST-T changes are related with the imbalance between sympathetic and vagus nerve activities. HRV analysis has important diagnostic signifi-cance in the functional ST-T changes.
