Chinese Journal of Integrated Traditional and Western Medicine in Intensive and Critical Care 2006;0(02):-
Objective: To observe the effect of electric stimulation at fastigial nucleus (FN) on neurological deficiency score, endothelinCD*21 (ETCD*21) and nitric oxide (NO) levels and to investigate its neuroprotective effects on patients with acute cerebral infarction (ACI). Methods: Sixty-eight patients with ACI were randomly divided into two groups: the electric stimulation treatment group (electric stimulation at FN) and conventional treatment group. Forty patients with hypertension were in the control group. The neural deficiency score, concentrations of plasma ETCD*21 and NO of patients in each group were observed. Results : Compared to the conventional treatment group, the improvement of neural function, the decrease of plasma ETCD*21 and NO were more significant in the electric stimulation treatment group before and after the treatment (all P
2.Effects of Jianpixiaoshi Decoction on Gastrointestinal Motility in Rats with Spleen-deficiency
Journal of China Medical University 2015;44(8):690-693
Objective To investigate the regulating effect of Jianpixiaoshi Decoction(JPXSD)on gastrointestinal motility in rats of functional dys-pepsia(FD)with spleen deficiency syndrome. Methods Forty healthy male SD rats were randomly divided into four groups:normal control group, model group, model traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)group and model western medicine group. Except for the normal control group,FD model of spleen-deficiency type was established by swimming to exhaustion on alternate days and alternating feeding of cabbage and lard for 25 days. Corre-sponding drugs were then administrated to those four groups:distilled water,JPXSD and Mosapride distilled water solution once a day by gavage for 7 days. Symptoms and body weights of these rats were observed and recorded during the experiment. After the last of drug administration, all groups were fasted for 24 hours. Nutritious semisolid paste marked with ink was given orally to the rats,GER and IPR of 1 hour were detected under anesthe-sia by sodium thiopental and blood were collected at the same time. The concentration of serum SP and SS were measured by ELISA according to the instructions. Results JPXSD improved the symptoms of model rats. Model TCM group showed significantly increased body weight, higher GER, lower IPR,higher serum SP level and lower SS level when compared to model group(P<0.05). Conclusion JPXSD could improve the symptoms of rat with spleen-deficiency,raise its body weight, accelerate the decreased gastric emptying and bring back the hyperactive small intestinal move-ment to normal. The regulating role of JPXSD may be realized through the increase of serum SP level and decrease of SS level.
3.STUDY ON ULTRASTRUCTURE OF THE FIBROBLASTS
Acta Anatomica Sinica 1955;0(03):-
Male Wistar rats were used to investigate the ultrastructure of the fibroblasts. The animals were sacrified at several time intervals after the collodion tubules were embedded subscutaneously on the backs, and the materials taken from the connective tissues around the collodion tubules were observed by light and electron microscopy. Six basic types of fibroblasts (little-differentiated fibroblast, young fibroblast, collagenoblast, myofibroblast, fibroclast and fibrocyte) were studied ultrastructurally. In each of its three phases (prophase, metaphase and telophase), the collagenoblast showed different functional conditions. The fibroclasts contain two subtypes, the phagocytosis and the lysosome subtypes, the former phagocytosing the collagen fibrils with a characteristic crossing banding and the latter phagocytosing the collagen fibrils which had been cleaved by the collagenase. The fibrocytes consist probably of two subtypes, the resting and aging subtypes. The observations demonstrate that the fibroblasts were derived from undifferentiated cells around capillaries and the little-differentiated fibroblasts are the youngest cell type of all fibroblasts. The collagenoblasts and fibroclasts are the main cells responsible for collagen biosynthesis and collagen degradation respectively. In the present paper a new concept, the "The Fibroblast System", has been proposed, which includes the six basic types of fibroblasts and there are not only structural but also functional relationships among them.
4.New developments in gastrointestinal stromal tumor
China Oncology 2000;0(06):-
Gastrointestinal stromal tumor(GIST) is the most common mesenchymal malignancy of the GI tract. The mainstay of treatment is surgery. For patients in whom complete resection is not possible, or in patients with metastatic or recurrent disease, they are unresponsive to standard chemotherapy and to radiotherapy. There has been no effective systemic treatment for unresectable GIST or metastatic disease. Gain-of-function mutations of the KIT proto-oncogene occur in up to 90% of GIST, allowing constitutive activation of tyrosine kinase (i.e. auto-phosphorylation of tyrosine residues independent of ligand-receptor binding), leading to aberrant cell division and tumour growth. Imatinib selectively inhibits the tyrosine kinase activity associated with KIT, which forms the rationale for evaluating its effects in GIST. Herein, we review recent developments in treatment for GIST and implication for optimal treatment in these patients.

China Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine and Pharmacy 2005;0(06):-
Academic circles invariably have diverging view on "incantation and psychology",and differ to pass judgment on it.The author of this article tries to discuss the essential discrepancy of "incantation and psychology" compared with pseudoscience and anti-science from the essence of "incantation and psychology" and its effects in that history stage. It could be said that "incantation and psychology" was a stagger step of the ancients on the road of medical science. It was the confluence of primitive religion, experience and rationality ingredient. So we could not break away from its existing soil to evaluate it striding over the space-time,otherwise it was a discrepancy with historical materialism. Therefore it has practical importance in modern clinic to apply the "incantation and psychology",though excavating the essence of it and endowing it scientific methods.

Journal of Jilin University(Medicine Edition) 2016;42(2):358-361
Objective:To investigate the clinlic therapeutic effect of sigmoid orthotopic neobladder after radical cystectomy in the treatment of invasive bladder cancer.Methods:1 6 patients with invasive bladder cancer (all males;age range from 53 to 75 years)were admitted and underwent radical cystectomy and sigmoid orthotopic neobladder. Results:Sixteen patients were hospitalized for 37 to 62 d,with an average of 51 d.All patients were followed up for a mean of 26 months (range from 5 months to 6 years). The serum creatinine (Cr)and blood urea nitrogen (BUN)levels were both in the normal range and there was no acidosis in all the cases. No case had unilateral ureteral urine reflux during cystography. Of the 16 patients 14 cases (87.5%) achieved continence during daytime;6 cases (37.5%) were incontinent at night, but all of them could control urination by being woken up at night. The capacity of the neobladder was 245 to 380 mL with an average of 316 mL and the maximal pressure of the neobladder during filling was 28 to 57 cm H2 O (1 cm H2 O =0.098 kPa)with an average of 39 cm H2 O.Conclusion:As an operation the sigmoid orthotopic neobladder can be performed easily without serious postoperative complications and has more reliable results. This operation may be generally applied in clinical practice.

Objective:To study the effect of trigonelline on the change of indicators of serum transaminase, lipoprotein and liver lipid of model rats with non-alcoholic fatty liver diseases and on the expression level of Bcl-2 and Bax proteins. Methods:A total of 45 SD rats were randomly divided into Fthe control group, model group and trigonelline intervention group. Rats in the control group were fed with the common diet, while rats in the model group and intervention group were fed with the high fat diet. 8 weeks later, the intervention group received the intragastric administration of trigonellin e (with the dosage of 40 mg/kg/d) for 8 weeks; while control group and model group received the intragastric administration of saline with the equal dosage. Blood was taken from the abdominal aorta of rats 8 weeks later, detecting the level of a series of indicators of ALT, AST, TG, TC, HDL-C and LDL-C in the serum. After the rats were sacrificed, detect the indicators of TG, TC, SOD and MDA in the liver tissue of rats, as well as the expression of Bcl-2 and Bax in the liver tissue. Results: Results of histopathologic examination showed that the damage degree of liver for rats in the trigonellineintervention group was smaller than the one in the model group, with significantly reduced hepatic steatosis and the partially visible hepatic lobule. The levels of ALT, AST, TC and LDL-C in the serum of rats in the trigonelline group were significantly reduced, while the change in the levels of TG and HDL-C was not significantly different. The levels of TG, TC and MDA in the liver tissues were significantly decreased, while the level of SOD significantly increased; the expression of Bcl-2 protein in the liver tissues of rats in the trigonelline intervention group was significantly increased, while the expression of Bax protein significantly decreased. Conclusions: The trigonelline contributes to the therapeutic effect of non-alcoholic fatty liver diseases. It can also increase the expression of Bcl-2 protein and decrease the expression of Bax protein in the liver tissues, which can protect the liver.
