1.Research progress of primary open angle glaucoma, 24h intraocular pressure and ocular perfusion pressure
International Eye Science 2016;16(6):1067-1070
Primary open angle glaucoma ( POAG) is one of the eye diseases which can lead to blindness. The early symptom of POAG is unconspicuous, however, it will result in irreversible optic never damage and visual field defect with the disease progress. As an index for diagnosing and evaluating the therapeutic effect of POAG, intraocular pressure ( IOP ) is simple and important. Clinically, although some treated patients have a target IOP at clinic time, the optic never damage still get worse. Researches indicate that higher nocturnal IOP and 24h IOP variation and lower nocturnal ocular perfusion pressure ( OPP) may be the reasons for this phenomenon. The following essay will give an overview of POAG,IOP and OPP according to the relevant literatures so that we can have a better understanding.

Objective To evaluate the relationship between hypertriglyceridemia and acute pancreatitis. Methods Data was analyzed from 41 patients with acute pancreatits from Apr.1998 to Oct.2000 in our hospital.Of the 13 patients(GroupⅠ) with plasma TG level being higher than 11.3 mmol/L, 8 accompanied with gallstone(61.5%)and 5 without gallstone(38.5%)of the 28 patients (GroupⅡ) with plasma TG level being lower than 11.3 mmol/L,19 accompanied with gallstone(47.3%)and 9 without gallstone(52.7%)RANSON score, morbidity of complications and the level of ALT and AST were compared between two groaps. The correlation between TG and RANSON score was analysed. Results There were significant difference between the two groups on RANSON score, morbidity of complications and level of ALT and AST(P0.05).Conclusion There is an close relationship between hypertriglyceridemia and acute pancreatitis, the high level of plasma TG plags a key a role in acute pancreatitis, patients with acute pancreatitis with hypertriglyceridemia are more likely to have higher morbidity of complications and liver function aggravating.

Psoriasis is a chronic, refractory, inflammatory skin disease that occurs in young adults. The traditional animal model cannot simulate the skin characteristics of patients with psoriasis effectively, so it is difficult to be used for in-depth study of psoriasis mechanism. Immortalized human epidermal cells (HaCaT)is a non-tumor,immortalized human epidermal cell which is widely used in the study of dermatosis.HaCaT cells are the best choice for the study of psoriasis mechanism because their immu-nological characteristics and reproductive ability are coincide with the pathological features of psoriasis. This article reviews the specific methods such as establishment of cell method, cytokine and chemo-kine analysisin the pathogenesis study of psoriasis based on HaCaT cells, hoping to provide some thoughts for drug′s pharmacological activity research.

Objective To explore the correlation between executive function and white matter lesions (WML) and the diagnostic value by clock drawing test(CDT) in patients with vascular dementia (VaD). Methods Twenty-seven VaD patients and twenty-five normal control subjects were evaluated with CDT to assess the executive function. CDT was scored according the four point method. Age-related white matter change rating scale (ARWMCrs) was used qualitatively to measure and locate the WML by cranial MRI scanning. Results 1. The scores of CDT in normal cognition health and VaD were ( 3.88 ± 0. 33 ) and ( 1.74 ± 0. 98 ). The difference between two groups was statistically significant (P<0. 01 ). The humerous part and the point part were the earliest to decline in the VaD Patients. The scores of WML were (5.12 ± 4. 19) and ( 11.19± 3.09), respectively. There was significant difference between two groups(P < 0. 01 ). The scores of CDT had significant positive correlation with MMSE scores and negative correlation with WML scores (P < 0. 01 ). Conclusion The executive functional impairment in patients with VaD could be associated with the degree of WML.

Objective To assess the radiofrequency ablation (RFA) lesions in canine prostate with real-time harmonic gray-scale contrast-enhanced ultrasonography and investigate the feasibility to predict these lesions. Methods A total of 5 male beagle dogs took RFA of the prostate.Radiofrequency (RF) was delivered under transrectal ultrasound (TRUS) guidance.A lesion was created in the right and left lateral lobes of canine prostate, respectively. The examination of conventional gray-scale ultrasonography, power Doppler ultrasonography,real-time harmonic gray-scale contrast-enhanced ultrasonography were performed immediately after RF procedure. All animals were subsequently sacrificed and the prostates were harvested for pathologic analysis.Thermal lesion volume was calculated based on expected shape of ellipsoid using equation. The volumes of the calculated thermal lesion on contrast-enhanced ultrasonography in dogs were compared with the volumes obtained from the pathological specimens. Results The RFA lesions could not be imaged accurately with real-time conventional gray-scale or power Doppler ultrasonography.However,contrast-enhanced low MI perfusion imaging was able to have real-time monitoring for the lesion (no blood flow). The volume of lesions was measured with contrast-enhanced ultrasonography without significant difference with those of pathologic results.Ultrasonic imaging(conventional gray-scale or power Doppler sonography)of the ablation areas also had its own characteristics. Conclusion The real-time harmonic gray-scale contrast-enhanced ultrasonography appears to be an accurate modality for assessment of RFA lesions.Conventional gray-scale and power Doppler sonography had their own characteristics to evaluate the RFA lesion.

Objective To explore the operative cooperation of the intra-extra cranial bypass operation of the intracranial giant aneurysms. Methods A retrospective analysis of 7 patients who had intracranial giant aneurysm and received the intra-extra cranial bypass operation from October 2014 to June 2016. All preoperative and intraoperative nursing points of operative cooperation were analyzed. Results The post-operative digital subtraction angiographies of 7 patients without any perioperative nursing complications showed enough flow in the bypass arteries. Conclusions Operative multi-incision managing, positive temperature intervening, special instruments using and thrombosis preventing play very important roles in the nursing points of the successful operative cooperation.

Chinese Journal of Pathophysiology 1986;0(01):-
AIM: To investigate the action of testosterone on atherosclerosis in a rabbit model. METHODS: 37 male cholesterol-fed rabbits were divided into five groups: castration group: castrated rabbits without exogenous testosterone administration; testosterone Ⅰ group: castrated rabbits with exogenous testosterone 0.25 mg?kg -1?d -1; testosterone Ⅱ group: castrated rabbits with exogenous testosterone 2.5 mg?kg -1?d -1; testosterone Ⅲ group: castrated rabbits with exogenous testosterone 12.5 mg?kg -1?d -1. The sham operation group was also set. Three months later, the levels of testosterone, blood lipids (including TG, HDL-C, LDL-C), PAI activity, nitric oxide (NO) content, endothelin (ET), angiotensin Ⅱ (AngⅡ) in blood were detected. RESULTS: It showed that testosterone in castration group was the lowest. There was no significant difference of TG or LDL-C between castration group and the other four groups. HDL-C in castration group was lower than that in other four groups. NO content of castration group was lower than that in others, but PAI activity, ET and AngⅡ concentration were higher than that in other groups. CONCLUSION: Testosterone is a protective factor against atherosclerosis in male rabbits.
