Objective To compare the results of three methods for measuring C reaction protein.Methods 100 patients were collected from our hospital,and three different methods for measuring C reaction protein were used to analyze the level of C reaction protein.Results Correlation analysis showed that the correlation between immunoturbidimetric assay and immunochromatography was higher.The differences of three methods assayed the C reaction protein were significant (P <0.05 )among normal people by the variance analysis,but had not statistical significance among abnormal people (P >0.05).The differences among all of test peo-ple were significant(P <0.05).Conclusion Detection of C reaction protein was important for diagnose inflammatory diseases.

Objective:To investigate the characters of ERP in undergraduates with different trait anxiety during exam stress. Methods: By the State Trait Anxiety Inventory, one group of 15 undergraduates with high trait anxiety and another group with low trait anxiety were chosen from 200 participants in Band 4 College English Test. Their change of P3 were observed through NeuroScan 32 Channel ERP System during pre- exam and post- exam. Results: The amplitude of P3 of the group with low trait anxiety was enhanced while another group with high trait anxiety had no significant difference after exam; The latency of P3 of the group with low trait anxiety were decreased while another group with high trait anxiety had no significant difference after exam; There weren’t significant differences in amplitude and latency of P3 between high trait anxiety group and low trait anxiety group before exam; There were significant enhance of amplitude of P3 and decrease of latency of P3 in low trait anxiety group after exam as compared with high trait anxiety group. Conclusion: The result suggests different trait anxiety groups have different cognitive functions. When confronting with the same stress.

OBJECTIVETo observe the effect of Liuweidihuang Pills in relieving cellphone electromagnetic radiation-induced histomorphological abnormality, oxidative injury, and cell apoptosis in the rat testis.

METHODSThirty adult male SD rats were equally randomized into a normal, a radiated, and a Liuweidihuang group, the animals in the latter two groups exposed to electromagnetic radiation of 900 MHz cellphone frequency 4 hours a day for 18 days. Meanwhile, the rats in the Liuweidihuang group were treated with the suspension of Liuweidihuang Pills at 1 ml/100 g body weight and the other rats intragastrically with the equal volume of purified water. Then all the rats were killed for observation of testicular histomorphology by routine HE staining, measurement of testicular malondialdehyde (MDA) and glutathione (GSH) levels by colorimetry, and determination of the expressions of bax and bcl-2 proteins in the testis tissue by immunohistochemistry.

RESULTSCompared with the normal controls, the radiated rats showed obviously loose structure, reduced layers of spermatocytes, and cavitation in the seminiferous tubules. Significant increases were observed in the MDA level (P < 0.01) and bax expression (P < 0.01) but decreases in the GSH level (P < 0.01) and bcl-2 expression (P < 0.01) in the testis issue of the radiated rats. In comparison with the radiated rats, those of the Liuweidihuang group exhibited nearly normal testicular structure, significantly lower MDA level (P < 0.05), bax expression (P < 0.01), and bcl-2 expression (P < 0.01).

CONCLUSIONLiuweidihuang Pills can improve cellphone electromagnetic radiation-induced histomorphological abnormality of the testis tissue and reduce its oxidative damage and cell apoptosis.

Objective To apply Windows presentation foundation (WPF) to rapid access and report printing of medical data.Methods Data access was realized by abstracting database to form data structure through entity framework (EF) and mapping datasheet as attribute.Multipage printing was executed by using Flow Document Scroll Viewer as the container and putting contents into different paragraphs with the block element.Results EF of WPF decreased the frequency of database access by the program greatly,and the reaction speed of the program was increased significantly.Flow document could be used for data printing.Conclusion WPF enhances the efficiency of system development and the beauty of man-machine interface,and thus is worthy promoting for medical system and software development.

Bacillus cereus B-04 antagonist to Botrytis cinerea were isolated from samples of tomato soil infected by Botrytis cinerea in Zibo, which are identified through a series of morphological and biochemical characteristics and the sequence of 16SrDNA. Aiming at enhancing the inhibitory effect of this strain, a 4.1kb DNA fragment containing ?-1,3-glucanases gene from pUC1940 was inserted into vector pBE2 and pHY300PLK to construct recombination plasmids, PBE2-glu and pHY300PLK-glu, which were transferred into Bacillus cereus B-04, resulting in a new strain named B-04-glu. Restriction enzyme digestion and ?-1,3-glucanases plate culture confirmed that B-04-glu contained a functional ?-1,3-glucanases gene. Compared to the wild strain B-04, B-04-glu had an increased inhibitory effect against Botrytis cinerea on tomato.

Objective:To examine the expression of odontoblast related proteins in dental pulp stem cells(DPSCs)induced by BMP-7.Methods:DPSCs were cultured in the common culture medium or medium supplemented with 1 00 ng/ml BMP-7.Electron microscope,CCK8 and immunohistochemical staining were carried out to estimate the cell morphology and differentiation.Results:In-duced by BMP-7,the morphology of DPSCs was not changed,the proliferation of DPSCs was slower than that of the cells without BMP-7 treatment.DPSCs were negative for the expression of DSPP,DMP-7 and ALP.However,DPSCs were found strongly positive for DSPP,DMP-7 and ALP after the induction of BMP-7.Conclusion:BMP-7 induction may promote the differentiation of DPSCs.

OBJECTIVE Toexplorethecredibityoftwoimprovedmodelsofsyntheticvascular dementia(VD)rats.METHODS OneimprovedmodelofVDratswasestablishedbyligatuingthebilat-eral common carotid artery twice at 3 d (improved 2-VO),while the other was established by blocking the middle cerebral artery on the left side by separating pterygopalatine arteria (i mproved MCAO/R). The learning and me mory ability was determined by escape latency in Morris water maze directional navi-gation test and cross-over ti mes in target areas in spatial probe test and the search strategy.The organi-zational structure in CA1 area of the hippocampus was observed and analyzed under a microscope after HEstaining.RESULTS Thelearningandmemoryabilitydecreasedsignificantlyin2modelgroupsat 20 d after the operation.The escape latency was much longer in improved 2-VO group and improved MCAO/R group than that in sham group(P<0.05)especially in improved 2-VO group.41 d after the operation,no difference between MCAO/R and sham group (P <0.05 ).The differences between improved 2-VO group and sham group remained significant(P<0.01 ),and difference between improved 2-VO group and improved MCAO/R group was significant(P<0.01 )at 41 d.The cross-over times in the target area in spatial probe test decreased more significantly in 2 model groups than in sham group. 41 d after the operation,improved MCAO/R group was not different from sham group(P<0.05). Search strategy results showed that swimming trajectory in the improved 2-VO groupwas mostly edge and random type,but was of tendency type and straight type in the improved MCAO/R group.In the organization structure of hippopal CA1 area of rats,the nu mber of cells was reduced,their arrange ment was sparse and chaotic,the morphology of cells was inco mplete,the structure of cells was abnormal, cytoplasmwasscarce,andnucleoliwereinconspicuous.CONCLUSION TwoimprovedVDmodelscan lead to behavior and pathological changes in rats.The i mproved 2-VO model,si mple and stable,is suitable for drug efficacy research.The improved MCAO/R model is the ideal short-term efficacy study.

ObjectiveTo investigate the alteration of plasma C-reactive protein (CRP) count in patients with non-valvula atrial fibrillation combining thrombosis.MethodsA total of 154 patients with non-valvula atrial fibrillation were divided into thrombus group (n = 46) and non-thrombus group (n = 108)in accordance with transesophageal echocardiography (TEE) results.The concentration of CRP by scattering turbidimetry, D-dimer by immunoturbidmetry, left atrium diameter (LAd), fraction shortening (FS) and left ventricular ejection fraction (LVEF) by TEE or echocardiography were detected.Logistic multi-factors regression analysis was performed.ResultsThere were significant differences in CRP [(5.77 ± 6.37)mg/L vs (1.73 ±2.39)mg/L,P =0.003], LAd [(59.86 ± 10.70) mm vs (47.97 ± 13.19)mm,P ＜0.001]and LVEF[(58.75 ±8.28)％vs (64.10 ±6.75)％, P ＜0.001]between thrombus group and nonthrombus group.The results of logistic regression analysis found CRP ≥ 1.33 mg/L(OR 2.856, 95％ CI 1.235-6.600,P =0.014) and LAd≥54.5 mm(OR 4.236, 95％ CI 1.877-9.562,P =0.001) were independent risk factors of patients with non-valvula atrial fibrillation combining with thrombosis.ConclusionsCRP and LAd are independent risk factors for patients with non-valvula atrial fibrillation combining with thrombosis.Inflammation may involve with the formation of thrombosis.

BACKGROUND: As a blood concentrate rich in growth factors and fibrin, platelet-rich fibrin (PRF) is able to significantly promote bone regeneration. PRF mixed with bone substitutes is commonly used to repair bone defects in oral maxillofacial region. But it remains controversial whether PRF as a sole material in sinus floor elevation can produce enough new bone tissues.OBJECTIVE: To evaluate the osteogenic potential of PRF as a sole grafting material in sinus floor elevation by means of an animal model.METHODS: Twelve healthy adult mongrel dogs aged 12-18 months were selected and randomized into three groups (groups A, B and C), with four dogs in each group. Upper first molars on both side of each dog were extracted 12 weeks prior to sinus floor elevation and simultaneous implants placement. Different materials were used to fill in the space between the sinus membrane and implant. Groups A, B and C were filled with PRF, autologus bone particles and autologus blood clot respectively. After 12 weeks, specimens were harvested to analyze the new bone formation by gross observation, X-ray examination and histological evaluation.RESULTS AND CONCLUSION: New bone formation was found to embrace all the implants close to the bony sinus floor, and the tips of all implants were free from bone coverage. The new bone height of groups A, B and C were (3.135±0.288),(3.218±0.345), and (1.898±0.157) mm, respectively. The new bone density of groups A, B and C were (65.06±5.88),(75.34±8.18), and (56.92±4.95) g/cm3, respectively. There were significant differences between the new bone height in groups A and C as well as in groups B and C (P < 0.05). Also, significant differences were found between the new bone density in groups A and B, B and C, A and C (P < 0.05). Within the confine of this experiment, it is feasible to use PRF as a sole grafting material in the sinus floor elevation to generate new bone, but the new bone volume is limited.
