1.Regulation of TFPI-2 gene expression and its role in diseases
Basic & Clinical Medicine 2006;0(11):-
Tissue factor pathway inhibitor-2(TFPI-2) is a matrix-associated Kunitz-type serine proteinase inhibitor, and is considered to play an important role in some pathophysiological processes, including artherosclerosis, tumor metastasis and angiogenesis.Extracellular signals can regulate TFPI-2 gene expression through modulating promoter or signaling pathway or other factors. The mechanism, more over, has become one of the focus in recent years.

Chinese Journal of Dermatology 2003;0(08):-
Objective To compare 2 approaches with different culture media which induce hyphal form of Candida albicans. Methods Induction of hyphal form was conducted for 16 C.albicans strains with either RPMI 1640 medium or DMEM medium,at 37 ℃ for 24 h,respectively. The hyphal and yeast forms were counted separately and the ratio of hyphal form to total cells was calculated. Results The ratio of hyphal form to total cells was higher in RPMI 1640 medium than that in DMEM medium at the same incubation time for the majority of strains. The ratio was above 99% for all strains after 7-day incubation with 12 times of passages in RPMI 1640 medium at 37 ℃.Moreover the ratio of hyphal form was significantly higher for fluconazole-susceptible strains than that for fluconazole dose-dependent susceptible and resistant strains in incubation with DMEM medium at 37 ℃.Conclusion Incubation with RPMI 1640 medium at 37 ℃ for 7 days seems a favorable condition to induce hyphal form of C.albicans.

Chinese Journal of Interventional Cardiology 2003;0(05):-
50% was defined as significant stenosis. Results A 98.7% (778/788) of the coronary artery segments (vessel diameter ≥1.5 mm) could be visualized by 64-slice spiral CT. Compared with catheter angiography in the detection of coronary stenosis, the overall sensitivity, specificity, positive predictive value, negative predictive value and the accuracy of 64-slice CT coronary angiography were 81.9%, 99.0%, 95.9%, 95.1%, and 95.2% respectively. Overall sensitivity would be 91.8% if corrected methodologically. The sensitivity after methodological correction became 91.8%. Conclusion Sixty-four-slice spiral CT examiniation provides a promising non-invasive approach in detecting coronary stenosis with fairly good accuracy, but can not totally replace catheter coronary angiography yet.

Medical Journal of Chinese People's Liberation Army 1981;0(04):-
Objective Sphingosine kinase 1 (SPK1) has been identified as a central mediator of ischemia preconditioning, and it has been shown to protect reactive oxygen species (ROS)-induced cardiomyocytes death. The present study aims at investigating the protective effects of adenovirus-mediated sphingosine kinase 1 gene (Ad-SPK1) transfer on ischemia-reperfusion induced cardiac injury. Methods Wistar rats were anesthetized and a left thoracotomy was performed. About 5?108 PFU of Ad-SPK1 in total volume of 100?l was injected intramyocardially into four separate sites of the left ventricular wall with a 30-gauge needle. The control rats received the same injection of adenovirus carrying green fluorescent protein gene (Ad-GFP). Three days later, hearts were isolated and subjected to ischemia/reperfusion (I/R) (30min/30min) ex vivo. Heart performance was evaluated by measuring the left ventricular systolic pressure (LVSP) and left ventricular end-diastolic pressure (LVEDP). The incidence of arrhythmia was recorded. Cardiomyocyte viability was detected by the detection of the release of creatine kinase (CK). The cardiac SPK1 activity was measured using an enzyme method. The forced and the total SKP1 expression was analyzed by immunoblotting with anti-FLAG and anti-SPK1 antibodies. Results The cardiac SPK1 activity was increased by about five-fold by injection of Ad-SPK1, compared to Ad-GFP control group. A more potent performance and a lower incidence of arrhythmia were observed in Ad-SPK1-injected hearts during the reperfusion period, compared with Ad-GFP-injected ones. Enzymatic activity assay showed that creatine kinase release was also less in Ad-SPK1-injected hearts. Conclusion Adenovirus-mediated SPK1 gene transfer efficiently protects heart from injury induced by ischemia-reperfusion.

Chinese Journal of Rehabilitation Theory and Practice 2015;21(6):731-736
Objective To create the effective community-based day-care model of mental disability with multiple approaches. Methods 30 subjects with schizophrenia in Taoranting community in Beijing were selected in control group (n=15) and intervention group (n=15). A day-care multiple rehabilitation model had been implemented in the intervention group. They were evaluated with Positive and Negative Syndrome Scale (PANSS) and WHO Disability Assessment Schedule 2.0 (WHO-DAS 2.0). Results The scores of PANSS negative symp-tom, general psychopathological symptom and WHO-DAS 2.0 significantly reduced continually in the intervention group 8 and 12 weeks af-ter intervention (P<0.01). Conclusion Community-based day-care model can improve the rehabilitation of mental disabled people and inte-grate the community resources for the schizophrenics.
