OBJECTIVE To provide current tendency of viral transmission by test-negative blood components changing among blood donors and to improve the safety of blood for transfusion.METHODS The test data of 1 608 816 blood donors in Beijing Red Cross Blood Center from 2001 to 2008 were analyzed.RESULTS Before voluntary blood donation, the positive rate of anti-HCV was 0.16%,that of anti-HIV was 0.005% and that of anti-TP was 0.15%.After voluntary blood donation, positive rate of these components increased, there were 0.45%,0.017% and 0.48%,respectively,but the positive rate of HBsAg and ALT was decreased. After voluntary blood donation, the positive rate of HBsAg,anti-HCV,anti-HIV and anti-TP were elevated, that of ALT was decreased in greatly.CONCLUSIONS As the increasing risk of viral transmission disease,it is more important for blood safety to screen volunteer blood donors.

Objective To evaluate the value of CYRTA21-1,CEA and SPECT in diagnosis of bone metastasis in lung cancer. Methods 216 patients with lung cancer were examined by radionuclide bone imaging and serum CYFRA21-1,CEA.20 patients with benign lung disease were also studied. Results 121 of the 216 lung cancer patients were confirmed bone metastasis including 101 multi-metastasis and 20 singu- lar-metastasis. The positive rate was 56.02 %.The serum CYFR21-1,CEA level and positive rate of lung cancer patients with bone metastasis were obviously higher than those of patients without bone metastasis or with benign lung disease. The level of serum CYFR21-1,CEA had significant difference(P

Objective To investigate the cause of low rate for dementia diagnosiss in out-patient clinic. Methods All outpatients between September 15,2009 and December 25,2009 were screened by IQCODE,MMSE and neuropsychological examination.Diagnosis of dementia and its subtype were confirmed according to DSM-IV-TR,NINCDS-ADRDA,and NINDS-AIREN criteria. The caregivers of dementia patients were interviewed with questionnaire. Results There were 8,042 outpatients in the period and 1716 patients completed IQCODE,317 completed MMSE,72 completed a set of neuropsychological test.41 patients were diagnosed as dementia which composed of 23 cases of AD (56.1%),12 cases of vascular dementia(29.3%),2 cases of mixed dementia(4.9%),4 cases of other types of dementia(9.7%),and the prevalence of dementia at age of over 55 years was 1.8% in out-patient clinics.Among the patients,18 cases were mild dementia (43.9%),19 moderate dementia (46.3 % ) and 4 severe dementia (9.8 %).Four patients(9.8 % ) were diagnosed as dementia by case history,15 patients(36.5%) were diagnosed as dementia by clinic doctors, while 22 patients (53.7%) were diagnosed as dementia in the survey.35 caregivers finished questionaire, and 10 caregivers(28.6%) had no knowledge about dementia,22(62.8%) caregivers had a few knowledge and 3(8.6%) caregivers had lots of knowledge.19 (46.3%) dementia patients went to see a doctor with cognitive impairment and 22 (53.7 %) with other symptoms. The reasons for delay in seeing a doctor included that caregivers considered the impairment of cognition as a result of normal aging (54.3%),patients rejected to see a doctor(14.3%),caregivers considered no treatment for dementia (5.7 %),and there was economic reason ( 2.9%),inconvenient (8.5 %) and others ( 14.3 %).Conclusions The visiting rate of dementia patients in china is very low and many demented patients do not receive early diagnosis and treatment.Patients' delay may contribute to the lack of knowledge of caregivers, and to doctor's ignore of the cognitive impairment.

Objective To observe the effects of the compatibility of Radix Astragali and Radix Angelicae Sinensis in different proportion on hemodynamic and balance of Th1/Th2 cells of Qi deficiency and blood stasis rat model. Methods Qi deficiency and blood stasis rats were caused by restricted diet, forced swimming and norepinephrine subcutaneous injecting, and treated by compatibility of Radix Astragali and Radix Angelicae Sinensis in different proportion of 5∶1, 3∶1, 1∶1 and 1∶2 for 21 days. The indexes of hemorheology were detected with hemorheological analyser, and the level of IFN-γand IL-4 in serum were tested by ELISA. Results Compared with model group, the compatibility of Radix Astragali and Radix Angelicae Sinensis in proportion of 1∶1, 3∶1 and 5∶1 groups reduced the low shear blood viscosity. The spleen index of model group decreased, and compatibility of Radix Astragali and Radix Angelicae Sinensis in 5∶1 proportion group increased spleen index. The level of IL-4 increased and IFN-γ decreased in the serum of model group, the compatibility of Radix Astragali and Radix Angelicae Sinensis in proportion of 3∶1 group increased the level of IFN-γ. Astragalus angelica 5∶1 group decreased the level of IL-4 and increased the level of IFN-γ. Conclusion The compatibility of Radix Astragali and Radix Angelicae Sinensis can improve hemorheology, adjust the balance of Th1/Th2 cells of Qi deficiency and blood stasis rats. The effects were better when Radix Astragali’s dosage greater than that of Radix Angelicae Sinensis, and the group of 5∶1 proportion was the best.

Object To investigate the effects of ultra-fine powder technique and granularity of pellets on dissolution rate in vitro. Methods The dissolution rate of ultra-fine ERMIAO PILL with different granule diameters in vitro was measured and compared with the index of berberine by UV spectro-photometry. Results The dissolution parameters T 50 and T d of four kinds of ultra-fine ERMIAO PILL are 61.60, 19.48, 17.84, 8.97 min and 102.3, 33.29, 26.98, 14.77 min, respectively. Those of general powder ERMIAO PILL with granule diameter of 2.4 mm are 89.61 and 155.68 min. Conclusion The dissolution rate of ultra-fine powder is quicker than that of general powder, and the rate increases with the granularity of PILL decreasing.

Objective: To evaluate effect of refining of the aqneous extract solution of compound Chinese traditional medicine by microfiltration technique of inorganic ceramic membrane. Methods: The aqneous extract solution of Ephedra, Apricot kernel, Gypsum, and Licorice Decoction and Redujing Granules were processed by microfiltration technique of inorganic ceramic membrane. The changes in the characters, whole solids and effective componds before and after process were studied. Results: The aqueous extract solution of compound Chinese traditional medicine all were turbid before microfiltering and became clear after microfiltrating. The whole solid of Ephedra, Apricot kernel, Gypsum, and Licorice Decoction were decreased by 16.12%, and the lost rates of ephedrine and amygdalin were 20.11% and 18.06% respectively. The whole solid of Redujing Granules were decreased by 27.58%, and the lost rates of chlorogenic acid and rhein were 18.28% and 22.86% respectively. Conclusion: The microfiltration technology of inorganic ceramic membrane has the better effects of clarification and removing impurity on the aqueous extract solution of compound Chinese traditional medicine.
