OBJECTIVETo explore an optimal anesthesia method with less impact on hemodynamics and electrocardiogram (ECG) of old patients with coronary artery disease (CHD) during abdominal operation.

METHODSThe 133 CHD patients waiting for abdominal operation were randomly divided into continuous epidural anesthesia (EA) group, general anesthesia group (GA) and combined spinal-epidural anesthesia (CSEA) group. Continuous monitoring was carried out during operation and mean arterial pressure (MAP), heart rate (HR), oxygen saturation (SaO2), abnormal ECG were measured respectively at different time for comparison and the differences of the above hemodynamic parameters and abnormal ECG features were compared among the 3 groups.

RESULTSAt the 15 min and 30 min point after anesthesia, SaO2 in GA group was significantly increased compared to that in the EA group (P < 0.05). At 15 min, 30 min and 60 min point after anesthesia, MAP in CSEA group was significantly increased compared to that in the EA group (P < 0.05). At 30 min point after anesthesia, HR in CSEA group was increased significantly compared to the EA group (P < 0.05). At 15 min and 30 min point after anesthesia, SaO2 in the CSEA group was increased significantly compare to the EA group (P < 0.05). Compared with preanesthesia (T0) in EA group, MAP, HR and SaO2 decreased significantly at 15, 30 and 60 min after anesthesia (P < 0.05). The fluctuation of the three parameters in GA and CSEA groups were relatively small (P > 0.05). As well as the comparison of abnormal ECG among the 3 groups was concerned, the incidence of ST-T changes in GA and CSEA groups were significantly lower than that in EA group at the time of 15 min, 30 min and 60 min after anesthesia and at the time of surgery termination (P < 0.05, P < 0.01). The incidence of arrhythmia in GA and CSEA groups were significantly lower than that in EA group at the time of 15 min, 30 min and 60 min after anesthesia (P < 0.05, P < 0.01). Compared with T0 in the same group, the incidences of ST-T changes and arrhythmia in GA or CSEA group at the time of 15, 30 and 60 min after anesthesia and at the time of surgery termination were significantly lower than that before anesthesia (P < 0.05, P < 0.01).

CONCLUSIONGA and CSEA have less impact on hemodynamics and have smaller incidence of abnormal ECG of old CHD patients with abdominal operation.

Objective To study the role of hematopoietic growth factor(HGF)of placenta chorionic villus in fetal hematopoiesis during embryo ontogeny by observation of the appearance time and the content changes with the fetal growth, which was compared with HGF in cord blood. Methods Thirty embryo villus (2 g each) and 30 cord blood (2 mL each) were collected separately from early pregnant stage(6- 8 weeks), middle pregnant stage(16-22 weeks)and late pregnant stage (37-42 weeks). The levels of HGF were detected by enzyme - linked immunosorbent assay. Rice straw degradation with white rot fungi and cellulose multienzyme was studied. The results indicated that the LiP, MnP activity produced by P. chrysosoporium 172 could reach 28.3U/g and 12.6U/g respectively under suitable culture condition. And the lignin was degraded efficiently in contrast with the cellulose and hemicellulose in rice straw solid fermentation. Following treatment with white rot fungi, using multienzyme produced by A. niger NL-1 could greatly accelerate the decomposition of rice straw. The decomposition rate of cellulose, hemicellulose, lignin and the loss rate of dry material were 53.8%,57.8%,44.5% and 46.3% respectivity when hydrolysis rice straw 48h with cellulase multienzyme (including 3 IU /g rice straw) after culture P. chrysosoporium 172 for 10 days. Scanning electron microscope analysis showed the cell wall of rice straw was destroyed severely, and the whole tissue got loosely. These results demonstrated the rice straw had been decomposed efficiently and completely.

OBJECTIVESTo investigate the histological changes in liver biopsy tissues taken from chronic hepatitis B patients with HBsAg and HBeAg positive and ALT abnormal after lamivudine therapy for one year.

METHODSLamivudine was given orally at the dose of 100 mg once a day for one year. 101 patients were enrolled into this open-label study. Paired liver biopsies from patients with hepatitis B before and after therapy with lamivudine were studied. Blinded biopsies were evaluated by a histopathologist and scored according to Knodell's histology activity index(HAI).

RESULTS53.5% (54/101), 51.5% (52/101) and 31.7% (32/101) patients had a reduction of their total hepatic HAI score, necroinflammation and fibrosis scores by >or=2 points or 1 points at the end of one year of lamivudine therapy, compared with their pretreatment values, respectively. There were significant reduction of HAI score, necroinflammation and fibrosis scores from 8.0+/-4.7 to 5.2+/-3.3 (t=7.358, P<0.01), from 5.9+/-3.8 to 3.6+/-2.5 (t=7.298, P<0.01), and from 2.1+/-1.2 to 1.6+/-1.2 (t=3.827, P<0.01), respectively. The histological improvement was independent on the HBeAg seroconvertion during the therapy.

CONCLUSIONSignificant improvement in liver histology, both necroinflammation and fibrosis, can be obtained in the majority of patients treated with lamivudine for one year.

White-rot fungi is a kind of basidiomycetes making wood rotten. For their particular metabolism and extracellular degrading ability, they can degrade a lot of organic pollutants, and then become the hot point of international academic research. This paper reviews the recent research progress in many aspects,such as the sort and degradation mechanism of white rot fungus, advances in applied research for white rot fungi on industry and environmental pollution disposal and so on. In addition, some suggestions on the prospective application in the composting of municipal solid waste are presented in the end.

Objective To study the value of fast dynamic contrast enhanced MRI in the diagnosis of orbital occupying lesions. Design Retrospective ease series.Participants 21 patients with orbital occupying lesions.Methods All the 21 patients were performed on fast dynamic contrast enhanced MRI and were verified by pathology.The raw datum were processed by the software of GE Functool. Parameters such as time-intensity curve(TIC),time to peak(Tpeak),1 minute enhancement ratio(ERlmin)and maximum enhancement ratio(ERmax)were analyzed to study the characteristics of orbital diseases on fast dynamic contrast-enhanced MRI.Main Outcome Measures TIC,ERlmin,and ERmax.Results The characteristics of TIC between benign diseases and malignant tumors were different. Of the 16 cases of benign lesions,12 demonstrated as continuous increasing type,and of 5 cases of malignant lesions,3 cases of lym- phoma were all platform type.The ER1min of the malignant tumors(150.47?42.18)was higher than that of the benign lesions (101.37?43.02)(P=0.021).Cavernous hemangiomas had special progressing enhancing model.Conclusions Fast dynamic contrast enhanced MRI is valuable to distinguish malignant tumors from benign occupying lesions.(Ophthalmol CHN,2007,16:305-308)

OBJECTIVETo study the effect of tanshinone microemulsion (Tan-M) on the cytotoxicity to human leukemia-cell-line (K562/ADM) and the reversion of MDR in vitro.

METHODMicroemulsion being supposed as the control group, MT method is adopted to test cytotoxicity and the reverse of MDR.

RESULTObvious cytotoxicity to K562/ADM was observed for tan-M. Cell non-toxic dosage (growth quotiety > 95%) of Tan-M is 0.2 microg x mL(-1). Low toxic dosage (growth quotiety 85-90%) was 0.7 microg x mL(-1). Cell non-toxic dosage of was 0.7 microg x mL(-1) and low toxic dosage was 1.2 microg x mL(-1). Cell non-toxic dosage of Tan-M (0.2 microg x mL(-1)) significantly lowered the IC50 of K562/ADM by ADM (P < 0.01), and reversed MDR was 3.88 times. Low toxic dosage of Tan-M reversed MDR was 3.97 times. E-M (0.2 microg x mL(-1)) reversed MDR was 2.62 times.

CONCLUSIONThe result indicates that tanshinone microemulsion possesses cell-toxic effects on human leukemia cell-line and may reverse MDR of tumor cells.

·AIM: To observe the therapeutic effect of visual perception training combined with total nutrition meal sequential therapy in the treatment of myopic amblyopia.·METHODS:Totally 73 children ( 135 eyes ) with myopic amblyopia were divided into control group ( 36 cases, 67 eyes) and treatment group (37 cases, 68 eyes) according to random number table. The control group were treated with traditional spectaculars and grating covering combined with fine eyesight training;the treatment group were treated with visual perception training combined with total nutrient meal sequential therapy. The visual acuity, diopter and average diopter of two groups were compared before and after treatment at 3, 6mo and 1a. The curative effect of two groups of children was compared after 1a treatment. And the adverse reactions were recorded in two groups during the treatment period. The recurrence rate of amblyopia in 1a follow-up was compared between two groups.·RESULTS: The difference of visual acuity between two groups was not significant at 3mo (P>0. 05). The visual acuity of the treatment group was significantly higher than that of the control group at 6mo and 1a (P<0. 05). There was no significant difference in diopter between the two groups after 3, 6mo and 1a (P>0. 05), but the average annual refractive changes in the treatment group were significantly lower than that in the control group ( P<0. 05). The basic cure rate and total effective rate of the treatment group were significantly higher than that of the control group (P<0. 05). There were no severe adverse reactions occurred between two groups during the treatment period. The recurrence rate of amblyopia in the treatment group was significantly lower than that in the control group (P<0. 05) after 1a follow-up.· CONCLUSION: Visual perception training combined with total nutrition meal sequential therapy in the treatment of myopic amblyopia in preschool children can significantly improve patients' visual acuity, reduce the average annual diopter changes, improve the therapeutic effect, reduce the recurrence rate of amblyopia.
