To compare the hemodynamic effects of propofol, midazolam and etomidate during induction in sick children. Methods:Sixty sick children were randomly divided into three group s to receive intravenous propofol 2.5mg·kg-1(groupP),midazolam 0.2mg·kg-1(group M) or etomidate 0.3mg·kg-1(groupE), respectively. All hemodynamic data were recorded before administration, during intubation a nd 1,3,5,10 min after intubation. Results: The Bp and HR h ad no change in group Pand group Mduring whole procedure. In group E, the Bp had increased significantly at intubation to 1,3 min after intubation. Conclusion: propofol, midazolam and etomidate may be safely adminis trated for sick children during induction of anaesthesia.

Objective To investigate the genetic relationship of the Dengue virus strains isolated in Guangdong province in 2006 and 2007, and to find the sources of these virus. Methods Serum samples of the dengue fever patients from 5 cities of Guangdong province in 2006 and 4 cities in 2007 were collected. Three pairs of primers that specific for amplifying the 3 overlap fragments of E gene of Dengue virus type Ⅰ were designed. RNAs were extracted from C6/36 cells treated with patients' serum. E genes were amplified by RT-PCR, purified and then sequenced directly. To obtain the E gene complete sequences, the raw sequences were assembled and edited. Obtained E genes were compared with E genes of other Dengue virus type Ⅰ published in the GenBank, analyzed by MEGA version 4.1 software. Results In 2006, virus circulating in Guaogzhou2006(EF508203) was closest to Vietnam2006(EU482539) with 99.3% nucleotides homology, Chaozhou2006 (EF508206) and Shantou2006 (EF508207) strains were closest to Japan2004 (AB178040) and Singapore2006 (EU081280) with 99.5% nucleotides homology, while Yangjiang2006 (EF508205) and Yangjiang2001 (EF508200) were closest to each other and both with 99.5% nucleotides homology to Thailand2001 (AY732482). All 4 Dengue virus strains circulated in 2007 were closest to Singapore2005(EU081276) with 99.7% nueleotides homology. Conclusion The Dengue viruses prevalent in 2006 were from different sources while those in 2007 came from the same origin. The data also showed that there was an endemic area of Dengue virus in Guangdong province.

Objective To explore the changes of gastrin(GAS),motilin(MTL) and somatostation(SS) excretion in children with helicobacter pylori(Hp) related chronic gastritis. Methods The levels of GAS,MTL and SS were measured by radioimmunoassay on 50 patients in study group and 30 children in control group. The biopsy of mucosa speciments of antrum of stomach and duodenal ampulla on patients were made by fibrogastrocopy and the speciments were stained by Giemsa for histopathologic examination. Results 1.The level of serum GAS on patients with Hp-positive and Hp-negastive were(173?36) ng/L and(110?20) ng/L,respectively,t=3.274(P0.05.3.The level of serum SS on patients with Hp-positive and Hp-negastive were(144.5?11.0) ng/L and(187.4?26.0) ng/L,t=3.897 P

Objective To investigate the changes of blood levels of gastrin(GAS),motilin(MTL) and insulinoid growth factor-1(IGF-1) in critical children with multiple organ disfunction syndrome(MODS).Methods The levels of GAS,MTL and IGF-1 in 50 critically ill children and 30 children without critical illness were detected. The control group consisted of 30 health children. All serum or plasma levels of GAS,MTL and IGF-1 were measured by radioimmunoassay. Results The serum or plasma levels of GAS,MTL and IGF-1 were significantly higher in critically ill children than those in uncritically ill children and control group(F=49.61,55.18,18.23 all (P

ObjectiveTo explore the effect of metalloproteinases (MMPs) inhibitor on expression of MMP-3 in degenerated lumbar intervertebral disc.MethodsThe animal model of degenerated lumbar intervertebral disc was established with rats. The 32 rats were randomly divided into the experimental group and control group with 16 animals in each group. From the fourth week after operation, the animals of the experimental group were injected with tetracycline 25 mg per day, those of the control group with saline. Two weeks late, the tissue of degenerated lumbar intervertebral disc was taken and the expression of MMP-3 was tested by immumohistochemistry and Western-bloting.ResultsThe expression of MMP-3 in the experimental group decreased and significantly different from the control group ( P<0.05).ConclusionMMPs inhibitor can decrease expression of MMP-3 in degenerated lumbar intervertebral disc.

Objective: Adult-onset Still's disease(AOSD)is a rare but clinically well-known polygenic systemic autoinflammatory disease. In this review,we aim to present frontiers in the pathogenesis, clinical features, diagnosis, biomarkers, disease course, prognosis, and treatment in AOSD.Data sources: We retrieved information from the PubMed database up to July 2019,using various search terms and relevant words, including AOSD and Still's disease.Study selection: We included data from peer-reviewed journals. Both basic and clinical studies were selected. Results: Pathogenesis of AOSD involves genetic background, infectious triggers, and immunopathogenesis, mainly the activation of macrophages and neutrophils followed by a cytokine storm.Diagnosis and prognosis evaluation of AOSD is still challenging;therefore, there is an urgent need to identify better biomarkers.Biologic agents, including interleukin(IL)-1β,IL-6,and tumor necrosis factor-α antagonists in the treatment of AOSD,have good prospect. Conclusion: This review highlights the advances in pathogenesis, potential biomarkers, disease course, and treatment in AOSD.
