Objective To observe the change of glucocxnticoid(GC) and the messenger RNA expression of its receptor(GRmRNA) in MRL/lpr mice with the intervention of nourishing yin and clearing heat decoction. Methods Forty MRL/lpr mice were randomly divided into four groups:model control group,TCM group, west medicine group, combined treatment of traditional chinese medicine and west medicine group,10 mice in each group. The group was intragastrically administrated normal sodium, nourishing yin and clearing heat decoction, prednisone suspension, nourishing yin and clearing heat decoction plus prednisone suspension,0.5 mL every time, once daily for 10 weeks respectively.Meanwhile,10 Kungming mice were selected as normal group, administrated normal sodium, like the model group. The expression of glucocxnticoid receptor-alpha and beta(GR?mRNA,GR?mRNA) were detected by reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction(RT-PCR).Results Compared with normal, the expression of GRmRNA was increased in model groups, but the level of GC was not different.Compared with model group,GR?mRNA and GR?mRNA of MRL/lpr mice were improved in all treatment groups, especially in combined treatment of traditional Chinese medicine and western medicine group. Conclusion Nourishing yin and clearing heat decoction has effect of upregulating the expression of GRmRNA in MRL/lpr mice,so as to enhance the effect of glucocorticoid and reduce its side effects.

AIM: Currently available anti-scarring regimens for glaucoma filtration surgery have potentially blinding complications and safer alternatives would be beneficial. This experiment is to investigate the effect of TGF-β2 antisense oligodeoxynucleotide on differentiation, proliferation of subconjunctival fibroblast following glaucoma filtration surgery.METHODS: Glaucoma filtration surgery were performed on both eyes of 28 rabbits. TGF-β2 antisense oligodeoxynudeotide was subconjunctivally injected in the right eyes (A group), and TGF-β2 missense oligodeoxynucleotide (B group)or PBS(C group) was used at the same method in the left eyes as controls. Rabbits were killed at 4,7,14 and 28 days after surgery. Intraocular pressure (IOP), bleb characteristics were recorded at different time point. Subconjunctival fibroblasts were examined by immunohistochemistry and electron microscopy.RESULTS: The IOP of rabbits in group A was significantly lower at 14 days (6.74± 1.18 mmHg) and 21 days (8.15± 1.97mmHg) after operation than the IOP in group B (8.53± 1.04,9.72± 1.09 mmHg)(P <0.01) and group C(8.79± 1.21, 9.43±1.27 mmHg) (P <0.05). The mean bleb survival time was longer (17.2 days) in group A than that of group B (14.5 days) and group C (13.5 days)(P<0.05). The population of the cells expressing α -smooth muscle actin(α -SMA) and proliferating cell nuclear antigen (PCNA) was significantly reduced in group A compared with the group B and C. The ultrastructure of fibroblast was not altered by TGF-β2 anti-sense oligodeoxynucleotide.CONCLUSION:TGF-β2 antisense oligodeoxynucleotide can prevent the scar formation after glaucoma surgery by inhibit the differentiation and proliferation of subconjunctival fibroblast. It could be a potentially useful anti-scarring alternative for the prevention of late surgical failure.

Objective Summarize the interventional nursing experiences for patients with coronary chronic total occlucion by transraidal approach. Methods Preoperative evaluation, careful psychological nursing, perioperative observation and prevetion complications were used for 105 patients with coronary chronic total occlusion when curred by transraidal approach intervention. Results There were 97 cases had successful operation, while 8 cases failure. There were 14 cases of perioperative hypotension, 6 cases of coronary acute occlusion, 4 cases of coronary perforation and 3 cases of no- reflow. There were no radial- as-sociated complication in any patients. Conclusions Effective and careful nursing measures can prevent complications.

Metabolic syndrome( MS) is a group of clinical symptoms, which is based on the pathophysiol-ogy of insulin resistance that mainly includes obesity, hyperglycemia, hypertension, dyslipidemia, nonalcoholic fatty liver disease and other components. In recent years, many studies have suggested that the occurrence of colorectal cancer( CRC) is closely related with the MS components. This article reviews the research progress on the associa-tion between the major components of MS and the pathogenesis of CRC.

Objective: To explore pathogeny and clinical effect of physiotherapy in young patients with lumbar disc hemiation (LDH). Method: Eighteen young LDH patients at 20-30 years old were administered comprehensive physiotherapy including lumbar traction, pulsed short wave therapy, pulsed magnetotherapy or low frequency modulated medium frequency electrotherapy. Before and after treatment, lumbar function was assessed with JOA scale. Result: Nine patients had specific trauma history; nine patients had sedentary lifestyle; five patients worked lor more than 8h/d in standing position; four patients had body mass index (BMI) 24-28. There was no significant difference in age, BMI and JOA scores between male and female group (P>0.05). Patients scored significantly higher after treatment (P<0.05). The remarkable effective rate of physiotherapy was 72.22%. Conclusion: Trauma, sedentary lifestyle, standing for long time, overweight or obesity are primary risk factors of LDH for youth and should be prevented by health education. Physiotherapy is significant efficient for young LDH patients.

Objective To study the risk factors for ventilator associated pneumonia (VAP) in ICU and pathogens antimicrobial resistance. Methods 220 patients were selected and divided into observation group (88 patients) and control group(132 patients) depending on whetherhe has VAP or not.The clinical data were reviewed to explore the risk factors. And the secretions of respiratory tract were investigated by the routine bacterial culture and drag-resistance methods to analysis the distribution of pathogens. Results The risk factors associated with VAP were COPD,mechanical ventilation, the extensive use of antibiotics, age > 60 years,APACHEII score > 30(P < 0.01).157 bacterial were cultured,68.9% of pathogens was Gram-negative bacteria in which Pseudomonas aeruginosa was rated as the top one,and 26.1% of pathogens was Gram-positive bacteria in which MRSA was the majority. The results of the antibiotic resistance monitoring indicated that all Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria showed high drugresistance to common antibiotics. Conclusion We should control these risk factors which are closely related to VAP,and select suitable antibiotics on the basis of etiological analysis and drug-resistance.

ObjectiveTo study the level of temperament and self-esteem of children aged 8~12 in Beijing city,as well as their interaction and influenced factor.Methods203 school children aged 8~12 were assessed with Carey's temperament questionnaire(8~12:MCTQ) and The Self-Esteem Scale(SES).ResultsTemperament and self-esteem of school children aged 8~12 were associated with the parental behavior, especially with work style of their fathers. The rhythmicity was found to be negative correlated to the self-esteem scores, and the intensity of reaction was found to be positive correlated to the self-esteem scores.ConclusionParents' behavior and family environment were important to the temperament and self-esteem of school children.

Dibenzothiophene (DBT) was used as a model compound. A bacteria strain, which can degrade dibenzo-thiophene efficiently, was obtained. This strain was identified as Pseudomonas stutzeris UP-1 according to its morphological, physiological and biochemical characters, and 16S rDNA sequence. The strain exhibits strong degradation capacity of DBT, and the end product of degradation is a kind of soluble compound. After the analysis of product of DBT degradation, it was deduced that the degradation of DBT by Pseudomonas stutzeri UP-1 is in accordance with the Kodama mechanism.
