1.Discussion on the Viewpoint of “Great Health”: from Disease to Health
Chinese Medical Ethics 2017;30(7):908-910
Public awareness of health always stays at the level of physical wellbeing, and there is a clear bound between disease and health. As the world health organization (WHO) put forward the new definition of health, health meant not only the absence of diseases and defects, but also psychological and physical health as well as good social adaptation ability, which updated public awareness of health. The viewpoint of “great health” advocated strengthening the overall situation and the strategic thinking, and promoted the resolution of current and long-term major health problems. This paper put forward the realistic meaning and realization approaches of the great health view by discussing the target of new health strategy.

International Journal of Cerebrovascular Diseases 2008;16(3):169-172
Objective:To investigate the neuropsychological characteristics of Chinese agraphia caused by basal ganglia(BG)infarction. Methods:The writing abilities of 40 patients with BG infarction were detected by Chinese agraphia battery(CAB),and all the writing scores and agraphia quotient were calculated. The head CT/MRI images in agraphia and non-agraphia groups were standardized, the infarction were revealed and the superposition of two-dimensional arrays were performed,so that the central tendency of infarction was visually displayed. Results: Among the 40 patients,21 had left BG infraction, and 17 had agraphia;19 had right BG infraction, and 4 had agraphia. The two-dimensional superimposing neuroimages showed that BG infarctions caused agraphia was mostly in the left BG,including the left putamen, the head and body of the caudate nucleus, but there were fewer infarctions in the right putamen and the body of the candate nucleus.BG infarction caused agraphia was mostly aphasic agraphia, which was characterized by the orthographic disorders, paragraphia, and grammar mistakes. Conclusions: BG infarction may result in aphasic agraphia, which suggested that BG is involed in writing and processing, and it is the subcortical center of this advanced neurofunction in writing.
5.Effect of Safflor yellow against neonatal hypoxia on expression of NOSs mRNA.
Chinese Journal of Applied Physiology 2004;20(4):371-374
AIMTo investigate the effect of Safflor yellow on the gene expression of neuronal nitric oxide synthase (nNOS), inducible nitric oxide synthase (iNOS) and endothelial nitric oxide synthase (eNOS) in neonatal asphyxia.
METHODS30 minutes after SY 7 g/kg weight intraperitoneally was administered on the neonatal rats. After asphyxia for 40 minutes, the neonatal rats were reoxygenated for 48 h, and the nitric oxide synthases (NOSs) mRNA expression was assessed by semi-quantitative reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction.
RESULTSNeuronal nitric oxide synthase (nNOS) and inducible nitric oxide synthase (iNOS) were up in hypoxia/reoxygenation (H/R) 48 h group, while both of them were down significantly in SY group, but no change was observed on endothelial nitric oxide synthase (eNOS).
CONCLUSIONThe protective of SY from brain damage induced by neonatal asphyxia might be associated with expression of NOSs mRNA.

Chinese Journal of Epidemiology 2010;31(9):975-978
Objective To understand the situations of home establishments and the related domestic behaviors that causing injuries. Methods A total of 9760 families with regular residents in a community in Shanghai were investigated. Questionnaire was designed bascd on the Guidelines for Conducting Community Surveys on Injuries and Violence and International Classification of External Causes of Injuries. Results Inside the home settings, relative factors were found on issues as fire protection and using of electricity. In terms of household settings, 14.85% of the families had smoke alarm systems in the kitchen; 40.75% had no windows set for emergence. 50% to 70% of the residents had the idea of safe behaviors, including 35.93% of the families stored cleaning products, other chemicals or medical substances in alternative containers, such as used drinking bottle. Only 1.81% of the people being investigated thought that home was also a high risk place where injury might occur and it was placed number 9 in a multiple choice questionnaire. Data from the multiple level model analysis showed that factors as number of family members, space, education, profession etc. were closely related to the situation of home settings and their resident's behaviors. Conclusion Many injury related factors were found related to home establishments and people' s daily behaviors at home which called for interventions to be taken.

Objective To investigate the effects of lipoxin A4 on store-operated calcium channel (SOC) and production of reactive oxygen species in macrophages induced by hpopolysaccharide (LPS).Method Macrophages were randomly assigned Io one of the following six groups:control group,LPS group,Thapsigargin group, lipoxin A4+LPS group, lipoxin A4+Thapsigargin group,2-Aminoethoxydiphenylborate+Thapsigargin group. The intracellular[Ca2+]iwas analyzed by eonfoeal laser microscopy. The production of reactive oxygen specips(ROS) was assayed by flow cytometry. Results LPS increased intracellular[Ca2+]i and reactive oxygen species in a dose-dependent manner.Lipoxin A4 suppressed approximately 75% of the Ca2+ ertry signal induced by thapsigargin and suppressed approximately 93% of the Ca2+ entry signal induced by LPS.The increase in intracellular[Ca2+]i was associated with increased ROS production which was abolished in the presence of lipoxin A4.Conclusions These findings indicate that the LPS-indueed intracellular[Ca2*]i increase depends on the Ca2+entry through SOC channel, and lipoxin A4 inhibits Ca2+ influx and ROS production through SOC channel in ratine maerophages induced by LPS.
