Objective This study aimed to investigate the genetic diversity, differentiation, and population structure of Aedes albopictus across different geographical regions in Shandong Province, and to explore the relationship between genetic diversity and geographical distribution. Methods Between July and August 2024, ten Ae. albopictus populations were sampled from seven cities in Shandong Province. Genomic DNA was extracted from individual mosquitoes, and the mitochondrial cytochrome c oxidase subunit I(COⅠ)gene was amplified using PCR and sequenced. The obtained sequences were verified using BLAST and analyzed with MAFFT, MEGA 11, DnaSP v6.12, Arlequin 3.5, PopART 1.7, STRUCTURE 2.3.4 and the R packages adegenet and vegan to assess genetic diversity and population structure. Results A total of 229 COⅠ sequences(662 bp) was obtained, revealing ten variable sites with no insertions or deletions. The overall base composition showed an AT bias of 67.7%. Haplotype analysis identified 11 haplotypes, with Hap2 being the dominant and most widely distributed haplotype across all populations. Neutrality tests showed significant population expansion only in the Rizhao population. Mantel testing result revealed that geographical distance does not significantly impede gene flow. Overall, genetic differentiation among populations was low, indicating frequent gene flow. When combined with additional samples from Shanghai, Fujian, Guangdong, Yunnan, Hainan and Guangxi, STRUCTURE, UPGMA and DAPC analyses revealed two primary genetic clusters of Ae. albopictus. Conclusions Ae. albopictus populations in Shandong Province exhibit frequent gene flow, low genetic differentiation, and relatively low overall genetic diversity. However, the Rizhao population showed signs of recent expansion, highlighting the need for enhanced surveillance and targeted control measures in this area.

Objective:To explore the application value of high-resolution temporal bone CT and DW-MRI fusion technology in achieving precise diagnosis and anatomical localization of middle ear cholesteatoma during endoscopic surgery. Methods:Eighteen patients initially diagnosed with middle ear cholesteatoma in the Department of Otolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery, Shaanxi Provincial People's Hospital, from January to June 2024 were enrolled.Preoperative high-resolution temporal bone CT and DW-MRI were performed, and rtStation software was used for image fusion to construct CT-MRI fused images. The involvement of cholesteatoma in six anatomical subregions of the temporal bone was evaluated. Using surgical pathology as the gold standard, and combining surgical videos and anatomical records, the sensitivity, specificity, and accuracy of pure CT, pure DW-MRI, and CT-MRI fused images in evaluating middle ear cholesteatoma lesions were compared. Results:A total of 18 patients were included, and 17 cases were pathologically confirmed as middle ear cholesteatoma postoperatively. The sensitivity of the preoperative of preoperative CT was 100%, but the specificity was only 44.44%, with an overall accuracy of 72.22%; the sensitivity and specificity of DW-MRI evaluation were 81.46% and 85.19%, the accuracy was 83.33%, respectively. In contrast, the sensitivity and specificity of CT-MRI fusion image to the spatial localization of cholesteatoma were higher than that of DW-MRI alone（92.59% vs 81.46%; 98.15% vs 85.19%）, and the diagnostic accuracy was also significantly improved（95.37% vs 83.33%）. The Kappa values for the agreement between HRCT, DW-MRI, and CT-MRI segmentation localization and pathological results were 0.444, 0.667, and 0.907 respectively. The chi-square paired t-test confirmed statistically significant diagnostic differences between groups（P<0.001）. Results demonstrated that CT-MRI significantly outperformed HRCT and DW-MRI in diagnostic efficacy for segmental localization of primary posterior congenital middle ear cholesteatoma. Conclusion:High-resolution temporal bone CT combined with DW-MRI fusion technology demonstrates higher sensitivity, specificity, and accuracy in the diagnosis and spatial localization of middle ear cholesteatoma than single imaging modalities. It can provide more precise evaluation of lesion scope for endoscopic surgery, showing important clinical application value.

The interactions between microorganisms and medicinal plants are crucial to the quality improvement of medicinal plants. Medicinal plants attract microorganisms to colonize by secreting specific compounds and provide niche and nutrient support for these microorganisms, with a symbiotic network formed. These microorganisms grow in the rhizosphere, phyllosphere, and endophytic tissues of plants and significantly improve the growth performance and medicinal component accumulation of medicinal plants by promoting nutrient uptake, enhancing disease resistance, and regulating the synthesis of secondary metabolites. Microorganisms are also widely used in the ecological planting of medicinal plants, and the growth conditions of medicinal plants are optimized by simulating the microbial effects in the natural environment. The interactions between microorganisms and medicinal plants not only significantly improve the yield and quality of medicinal plants but also enhance their geoherbalism, which is in line with the concept of green agriculture and eco-friendly development. This study reviewed the research results on the interactions between medicinal plants and microorganisms in recent years and focused on the analysis of the great potential of microorganisms in optimizing the growth environment of medicinal plants, regulating the accumulation of secondary metabolites, inducing systemic resistance, and promoting the ecological planting of medicinal plants. It provides a scientific basis for the research on the interactions between medicinal plants and microorganisms, the research and development of microbial agents, and the application of microorganisms in the ecological planting of medicinal plants and is of great significance for the quality improvement of medicinal plants and the green and sustainable development of TCM resources.

This study applied the grading of recommendations assessment, development and evaluation(GRADE) system and the integrated evidence chain-based effectiveness evaluation of traditional Chinese medicine(Eff-iEC) to evaluate the evidence for 12 commonly used Chinese patent medicines for the treatment of osteoporosis, which are frequently recommended in guidelines or expert consensuses. The results showed that Xianling Gubao Capsules/Tablets were rated as C(low-level evidence) according to the GRADE system, and as BA~+B~+(intermediate evidence) according to the Eff-iEC system. Jintiange Capsules were rated as C(low-level evidence) by the GRADE system, and as AA~+B(high-level evidence) by the Eff-iEC system. Gushukang Granules/Capsules were rated as C(low-level evidence) by GRADE system, and as BA~+B~+(intermediate evidence) by Eff-iEC system. Zuogui Pills were rated as C(low-level evidence) by GRADE system, and as AA~(++)B~+(high-level evidence) by Eff-iEC system. Qianggu Capsules were rated as D(extremely low-level evidence) by GRADE system, and as AA~+B~+(high-level evidence) by Eff-iEC system. Zhuanggu Zhitong Capsules were rated as D(extremely low-level evidence) by GRADE system, and as BA~+B(intermediate evidence) by Eff-iEC system. Jingui Shenqi Pills were rated as D(extremely low-level evidence) by GRADE system, and as AA~+B(high-level evidence) by Eff-iEC system. Quanduzhong Capsules were rated as D(extremely low-level evidence) by GRADE system, and as AD~+B~+(low-level evidence) by Eff-iEC system. Epimedium Total Flavones Capsules were rated as D(extremely low-level evidence) by GRADE system, and as AAB~+(high-level evidence) by Eff-iEC system. Yougui Pills were rated as D(extremely low-level evidence) by GRADE system, and as AA~(++)B~(+ )(high-level evidence) by Eff-iEC system. Qigu Capsules were rated as D(extremely low-level evidence) by GRADE system, and as BB~+B(intermediate evidence) by Eff-iEC system. Liuwei Dihuang Pills were rated as C(low-level evidence) by GRADE system, and as AA~(++)B~+(high-level evidence) by Eff-iEC system. Overall, the Eff-iEC system provides a more comprehensive assessment of the effectiveness evidence for traditional Chinese medicine(TCM) than the GRADE system. However, it still has certain limitations that hinder its wider promotion and application. In terms of clinical evidence evaluation, both the Eff-iEC and GRADE systems reflect that the current clinical research quality on Chinese patent medicines for the treatment of osteoporosis is generally low. High-quality clinical trials are still needed in the future to further validate clinical efficacy.

Objective To explore the feasibility of endovascular intervention technology for constructing canine models of hepatic vein(HV)obstruction type Budd-Chiari syndrome(BCS).Methods HV obstruction type BCS models were established through double approaches including external jugular vein and percutaneous transhepatic vein puncture,blocking the main HV with double balloon and injecting anhydrous ethanol using 10 Beagle dogs.Laboratory indexes before and after modeling were compared.Liver ultrasound was performed 2,4 and 8 weeks after modeling,respectively,while intravascular ultrasound(IVUS)and digital subtracting angiography(DSA)were performed after the last time ultrasound to observe the obstruction degree,lumen and blood flow of left hepatic vein(LHV).The stenosis rate of LHV was evaluated based on DSA findings,and successful establishment of HV obstruction type BCS canine model was regarded as stenosis rate＞30%and incomplete occlusion of LHV,then the success rate of modeling was recorded.Results No significant difference of laboratory indexes was found before and after modeling(all P＞0.05).Ultrasound,IVUS and DSA showed that after modeling,different degrees of LHV stenosis complicated with intrahepatic collateral circulation were found in 9 dogs,while complete occlusion of LHV was noticed in 1 dog.The success rate of modeling was 90.00%(9/10).Pathological results showed the target HV lumen narrow with thickened endovascular wall,and the latter mainly composed of fibroblast and collagen fiber proliferation.Conclusion Endovascular intervention technology was feasible for constructing canine models of HV obstruction type BCS.

Objective:To evaluate the clinical features of dystonia in patients with different types of atypical Parkinson syndrome (APS).Methods:A total of 104 patients with APS admitted in the Department of Neurology, Beijing Hospital from January 2015 to June 2023 were enrolled in the study, including 57 cases of multiple system atrophy (MSA), 38 cases of progressive supranuclear palsy (PSP) and 9 cases of corticobasal degeneration (CBD). Among 104 cases there were 63 males (60.6%), the mean age of patients was (62.3±8.9) years (54 to 73 years). The sex, age at onset, disease duration, first symptom, clinical features of dystonia and other neurological signs, response to levodopa therapy, numbers of Hoehn & Yahr scale≥3 after 3 years of disease, and MRI findings were documented in patients with different type APS.Results:The overall frequency of dystonia in this series was 45.2%(47/104), and 33.3% (19/57) for MSA group, 50.0% (19/38) for PSP group, 9/9 for CBD group. The types of dystonia were anterocollis, retrocollis, blepharospasm, oromandibular, foot/limb dystonia, Pisa syndrome and myoclonus. In all 47 cases presenting dydtonia, dystonia was not the first complaint and it did not respond to levodopa therapy.Conclusion:In this series of atypical Parkinson syndrome, dystonia is a common feature of the disease, while it is not the first symptom at disease onset, and usually does not respond to levodopa therapy.

Lung cancer has the highest incidence and mortality among malignant tumors in China.Persistent subsolid nodules(SSNs)are closely associated with early-stage lung adenocarcinoma.Artificial intelligence(AI),as an emerging technology,is capable of performing in-depth analysis of large-scale imaging data through autonomous learning and possesses the ability to predict outcomes from new data,demonstrating great potential and application prospects in the assessment of SSNs.AI can not only effectively assist radiologists in diagnosis and treatment,but also improve work efficiency while reducing misdiagnosis and missed diagnosis rates.This review summarizes the recent applications and research progress of AI in the assessment of SSNs,to provide new insights for the diagnosis and treatment of SSNs.

Objective To investigate the status of hearing impaired children's hearing device independence skills,and to explore the ways to improve their self-use of hearing equipment.Methods This study surveyed 64 re-habilitation teachers and 411 parents of children with hearing impairment aged 0-12 years.Through face-to-face or remote telephone interview,3 good habits(A asking parents for advice before removing the HA,B putting the de-vice into a moisture-proof box after removing it,C bringing batteries to school and knowing where are them)and 3 key abilities[D wearing the device independently,E replacing the battery independently,and F independently handle foreign bodies in the ear mold(Fa)and water vapor(Fb)]was investigated.The age when mastering skills or de-veloping habits difference of hearing impaired children in different groups were compared.Results ① The ratio of ability D in the bilateral CI group and the bilateral HA group of preschool children was 30.97％and 18.57％respec-tively.Among elementary school children,85.29％and 90.70％had this ability respectively.② The ratio of ability E in the bilateral CI group,the bilateral HA group and the bimodel group were 11.50％,15.71％and 16.49％,re-spectively.Among elementary school children,64.71％,53.49％and 68.52％had this ability,respectively.③Among preschool children,there was no statistical difference in age when different equipment groups developed the three good habits and acquired ability D and E(P＞0.05).④ Among primary school children,there was a statisti-cal difference in the age when different equipment groups formed habit A(P＜0.05),and the age when double CI group had this ability was slightly earlier than the double HA group.There was no significant difference in other abilities among age groups(P＞0.05).Conclusion The age at which hearing impaired children develop the three good habits precedes the age at which they master the key skills,which accords with the law of skill acquisition and development of ordinary children.Corresponding teaching process should be based on the age and ability of hearing-impaired children without considering the type of equipment.
