1.Recurrent implantation failure: gamete and embryo factors.
National Journal of Andrology 2014;20(6):544-547
Despite the immense achievement in the field of IVF in recent years, many patients still suffer from recurrent implantation failure. Therefore, much attention has been drawn to its etiology and treatment. Chromosomal abnormality, sperm DNA damage, zona hardening, and inappropriate culture conditions are important factors that lead to recurrent implantation failure. Results of studies suggest that preimplantation genetic screening does not improve the rate of implantation or live birth. Comparative genomic hybridization array and single nucleotide polymorphism array could offer a more comprehensive screening of chromosomes. Assisted hatching may help to solve the problem of zona hardening in some situations. Co-culture and blastocyst transfer could be conducive to the improvement of the rates of implantation and pregnancy. Cytoplasmic transfer may give a solution to ooplasmic composition anomalies.

Objective To investigate the effect of angiotensin Ⅱ(Ang Ⅱ)on the expression of integrin-linked kinase(ILK)in rat glomerular mesangial cells. Methods SD rat glomerular mesangial cells were separated and cultured. They were treated with 10-7 mol/L Ang Ⅱ in various time-point(0,12,24,48,72 h),and then cultured rat glomerular mesangial cells were treated 48 h with Ang Ⅱ in various concentration(0,10-11,10-9,10-7,10-5 mol/L).Then total protein expression in rat glomerular mesangial cells stimulated by Ang Ⅱ at every time-point and every concentration-point was extracted. The expression of ILK protein was measured by Western blot. Results 1.Expression of ILK protein in rat glomerular cells stimulated by Ang Ⅱ in various time-point,or various concentration was significantly increased. In group of 10-7 mol/L Ang Ⅱstimulated cells, the protein semiquantity of ILK at 0,12,24,48,72 h respectively was 0.18?0.02,0.37?0.07,0.90?0.10,1.73?0.12,and 1.72?0.13(F=166.78 P

Objective To evaluate the results of treating the persistent Henoch-Schonlein purpura nephritis(HSPN) by injecting methylprednisolone into intra-renal capsule in children. Methods Twenty-two patients(aged from 6 to 13 years) with persistent HSPN were randomly divided into 3 groups.Group I was treated with prednisone;group Ⅱ was treated with high dosage methylprednisolone by venous injection, while group Ⅲ was treated by injecting methylprednisolone into intra-renal capsule. The 24 h urinary protein excretion, the levels of serum albumin and creatinine,or the blood cholesterole in children with persistent HSPN were detected at the beginning,4 weeks and 8 weeks of the study. The blood pressure, body weight were detected in the study duration. Results The values of 24 h urinary protein excretion were(2.35?1.09),(0.97?0.37),and(0.99?0.52) g(P

OBJECTIVETo investigate the characteristic of colonic transmission in functional constipation (FC) and the effect of traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) Sini Powder (SP) on it.
METHODSThe colonic transmission time (CTT) of 36 patients with FC (the FC group) and 22 healthy subjects (control group) was measured through colonic transmission test, and CTT of entire colon and that of various subsections was calculated with Hinton method and Arhan method respectively. After then, the FC group was treated with SP for 7 days, and CTT was detected again after treatment.
RESULTSBefore treatment, body mass index (BMI) was higher, CTT of entire colon, left half colonic section, and sigmoid-rectal section were longer in the FC group than those in the control group (P < 0.05), no statistical difference in CTT of right half colon was found between the two groups (P > 0.05). After FC patients being treated with SP, their CTT of whole colon, left half colonic section and sigmoid-rectal section were significantly shortened (P < 0.05).
CONCLUSIONFC patients were characterized by increased BMI and CTT prolonged and unevenly distributed in subsections, especially in the left half colon, sigmoid and rectum; SP could shorten the CTT in FC patients.

China Journal of Chinese Materia Medica 2014;39(2):322-326
Euphorbia kansui (EK) is a toxic herbal drug, and often used after vinegar-processing to reduce its toxicity. In present study, a 1H-NMR based metabonomic approach was used to evaluate the detoxification effect of vinegar-processed EK. The water extracts of EK and VEK were administered orally to male SD rats at doses of 9 g x kg(-1) x d(-1) for 1 week, respectively, and one more week observation was further conducted. The control group was orally given with saline. Histopathological studies of liver samples on the 8th and 15th day were conducted, and the metabolites of rat urine and liver were analysed by 1H-NMR. Histopathological studies of liver samples from EK and VEK treated rats showed no negative impacts. In metabonomic analyses of urines, changes of metabolites indicated liver damages, kidney lesions and imbalance of gut microbes in the second week. VEK-treated rats showed a quite lower toxicity compared with EK-treated ones. The present study revealed that the metabonomic approach might be helpful for the evaluation of toxicity of EK and detoxic effect of VEK.

Objective To explore the relationship of proteinuria, immunopathogenesis and humoral immunity in children with Henoch-schonlein purpura nephritis(HSPN).Methods Serum IgG,IgA,IgM,C3 and C4 levels were detected with complete-automatic biochemistry analyzer in 47 children with HSPN and 18 heathy children, and the differences in the findings were compared among groups. The levels of IgG,IgA,IgM,C3 and C4 were compared among groups according to the count of proteinuria. The renal tissues were adopteded with immunity in the children with HSPN were taken for biospy examination, and the differences in immunopathalogy were compared among groups with immunof-luorescence assay. Results The IgG,IgA levels in children with HSPN were higher than those of heathy children,on the contrary, the IgM,C3 and C4 levels were lower than those of heathy children(Pa0.05),but the IgM level of the nephritic syndrome group were higher than that of other groups(Pa0.05).Conclusions There is severe disturbance of immunologic function in children with HSPN.There is no connections among serum IgG,IgA,IgM,C3 and C4 levels, proteinuria and renal immunopathlogy.

Chinese Pharmacological Bulletin 2018;34(6):753-756
With the aging of population and the changes of lifes-tyle, the cardiovascular diseases have become a serious threat to human health. Meanwhile, the cardiovascular death has become the chief death reason during recent epidemiological survey, so the prevention and treatment of cardiovascular diseases have be-come the focus of researches now. Mitochondrial ATP-sensitive potassium channels ( mitoKATP ) is an inward rectifier potassium channel located in the mitochondrial inner membrane, which has the effect of improving the energy metabolism, inhibiting the ap-optosis, relieving the overload of Ca2+ and stabilizing the inter-nal environment. Recently, some researchers have also found that mitoKATP can influence the development of cardiovascular diseases in different ways. This paper summarizes the structure and function of mitoKATP and the relationship between cardiovas-cular diseases and mitoKATP , aiming to clarify its role in the de-velopment of cardiovascular diseases.

Resveratrol, as a natural polyphenolic compound, has a wide range of beneficial effects, which includes anti-tumor, cardiovascular protection, anti-oxidant and estrogen-like effects, and so on. Its various physiological properties are closely related to the therapeutic principle for prevention and treatment of high altitude hypoxia injury. Resveratrol may play an important role in relieving or curing high altitude diseases, especially high altitude polycythemia(HAPC). However, the literature about study and application of resveratrol in plateau medicine field is rarely reported up to now. In this review, we summarized the physiological effects of resveratrol, discussed the possible main principle of resveratrol for HAPC therapy, and looked forward to resveratrol's perspective or potential application in high altitude medicine.
