Objective To investigate the mechanism of treatment of lung cancer with Bacillus Calmette-Guerin Polysaccharides nucleic acid (BCG-PSN) combined with Cyclophosphamide(Cy). Methods 130 mice were divided into three groups (A,B and C groups). Gruop A was further divided into four subgroups . Subgroup A-1 was given normal saline orally 0.25mg/10g?d -1 ; Subgroup A-2 was given levomisole PO. 0.25mg/10g?d -1 ; Subgroup A-3 was given BCG-PSN PO.0.325mg/10g?d -1 and subgroup A-4 was given BCG-PSN by intra-abdominal injection 0.25mg/10g?d -1 . Group B was given identical drugs with group A, after fifth day given 20% sheep red blood cell 0.2ml by intra-abdominal injection for five days . Gruop C divided into five subgroups;Subgroup C1-4 were given same drugs with group A,then given 0.4% Cy by subcutaneous injection 0.25mg/10g?d -1 from fifth day to tenth day.Subgroup C-5 was normal contral group, was given normal saline 0.25mg/10g?d -1 PO and subcutaneous injection 0.25mg/10g?d -1 .Results Oral administration alone or intra-abdominal injection in subgroup A-4 obviously enhanced the phagocytosis of macrophages. The subcutaneous injection of Cy could obviously decrease anti-tumour immunity, including activity of interleukin-2 (IL-2),natural killer(NK) cell, lyphocyte trasformation, and macrophages phagocytosis. BCG-PSN could increase and rehabilitate above anti-tumour immunological function. Conclusions Combinative treatment of BCG-PSN with Cy could remarkable enhance the immunocompetence. This experiment may provide a theoretical evidence for BCG-PSN combined with chemotheapeutic agents applied to treat the lung cancer.

Objective To review the experience of minimally invasive incision for open-heart surgery in 56 children with congenital heart diseases. Methods There were secundum atrial septal defect (ASD)25 cases, ventrilcular septal defect (VSD) 26 cases, double-chambered right ventricle (DCRV) 2 cases and pulmonary arterial stenosis (PS) 3 cases, right anterior-lateral thoracotomy for 23 cases in heart beat CPB and ministernotomy for 33 cases participated in the study. Results No death or serious complications happened, and the patients' postoperative recovery rapidly, mean hospital stay was 8 days .Conclusions Minimally invasive incision has followe as advantages, such as :less trauma, cosmetic, less pain, recovery rapid, safeness, effectiveness, and shorter hospital stay, especially for repairing the secundum atrial septal defect, membranous or para-membranous ventrilcular septal defect.

Chinese Journal of Organ Transplantation 2010;31(3):144-147
Objective By using ProtEx~(TM) technology to decorate target cells with an exogenous protein and observe its function for immunomodulation. Methods Donor splenocytes were decorated with chimeric SA-FasL protein. The expression of FasL and its impact on other molecules on the surface of splenocytes was detected.Heterotopic rat heart transplantation was performed from inbred WF rat to ACI rat.According to the different donor splenocytes perioperatively injected into recipients, the recipients were divided into 3 groups:SA-FasL group (n=23),SA group (n=20) and control group(n=10).Heart beating was examined by palpation on daily basis, the cessation was regarded as reiection, while surival over 100 days was considered as graft long-term survival.Diabetes models in C57BL/6 mice were induced by intravenous injection of STZ.Islets from BALB/C mice were decorated by SA-FasL protein, islets transplant was performed from BABL/c to C57BL/6 mice.Based on the different treatments of donor islets, recipients were divided into three groups:islet-FasL group (n=21),islet-SA group (n=21) and islet-untreated group(n=14).Rejection was identified while urine glucose was positive and blood glucose value was over 250 mg/ml for consecutive two days.Urine glucose negative over 100 days was regarded as graft long-term survival. Results The mean exDression rate of FasL in splenocytes was 94.49%±4.27% tested by flow cytometry and FasL showed red color 0n the surface of splenocytes by fluorescent stammg.FasL deeoration did not disturb the expression of CD3,CD4,D8,MHC I and CD80.The long-term survival rate o,f heart transplant showed significant difference between tWO groups(SA-FasL:70% vs SA:25%,P<0.05).67% FasL-decorated islets had normal function 30 days post transplant, and 29%FasL-decorated islets achieved long-term survival, which was significantly differed from the other groups(P<0.05).Conclusion ProtEx~(TM) is a simple, fast, safe and efficient approach for exogenous protein modmcation.Decoration of target cells with Chimeric FasL by this technique plays an umportant role in immunomodulatiorn.

Journal of Integrative Medicine 2007;5(1):101-5
OBJECTIVE: To introduce the method of analyzing repeated data measured by water maze with SPSS 11.0, and offer a reference statistical method to clinical and basic medicine researchers who take the design of repeated measures. METHODS: Using repeated measures and multivariate analysis of variance (ANOVA) process of the general linear model in SPSS and giving comparison among different groups and different measure time pairwise. RESULTS: Firstly, Mauchly's test of sphericity should be used to judge whether there were relations among the repeatedly measured data. If any (P

Objective To investigate the correlation between obstructive sleep apnea syndrome(OSAS)with myocardial ischemia and arrhythmia. Methods To observe the occuring rate of premature beats and change of ST- segment,90 eases of OSAS patients were detected by the polysomnogram(PSG)and dynamic electrocardiogram at the same time. Results Total morbidity of myocardial ischemia was 32.2 % in OSAS patients, and it was 59.4 %, 15.8 %,20 % in serious, moderate and mild groups respectively. There was a statistically significant difference be- tween the three groups and the control group(P0.05).Conclusion As one of the risky factors of cardiovascular diseases,OSAS can induce myocardial ischemia and arrhythmia.

Achalasia is a primary esophageal motility disorder. It has been widely accepted that the occurrence of achalasia is associated with reduction of inhibitory neurotransmitters.Hydrogen sulfide, which is known as a gastrointestinal inhibitory neurotransmitter,is produced endogenously from L-cysteine mainly via cystathionine beta-synthetase (CBS)and cystathionine gamma-lyase (CSE).Aims:To explore the relationship between hydrogen sulfide and achalasia by comparing the expressions of CBS and CSE in esophagus of patients with achalasia and the control subjects.Methods:Twenty-five achalasia patients undergoing peroral endoscopic myotomy from Jan.2013 to Jun.2015 at the Tianjin Medical University General Hospital were enrolled.Circular muscle samples in lower esophageal sphincter (LES)were obtained for detection of CBS and CSE immunohistochemically, and normal LES circular muscle samples from 10 patients with esophageal squamous carcinoma were served as controls.Reductions of CBS and CSE were evaluated semi-quantitatively.Results:Immunoreactivities for CBS and CSE were observed mainly in myenteric nerve plexus of LES.Compared with control subjects, expressions of CBS and CSE in LES of achalasia patients were significantly reduced (P all <0.05).More than 60%of the achalasia patients revealed severe reduction to complete loss of CBS and CSE immunoreactivities, whereas most of the control subjects were strongly positive for these two enzymes. Conclusions:Hydrogen sulfide-producing enzymes are significantly reduced and even absent in LES of patients with achalasia, which indicates that there exists a correlation between reduced hydrogen sulfide synthesis and achalasia.
