In liver transplantation,hepatic sinusoidal obstruction syndrome (HSOS) is rare,which results in misdiagnosis and mistreatment.The prognosis of HSOS after liver transplantation is related to the implementation of early specific treatment.No systematic review has been reported on HSOS after liver transplantation.To raise awareness of HSOS after liver transplantation,this review summarizes the aetiology,pathology,clinical manifestations,laboratory findings,imaging features,diagnosis,differential diagnosis,treatment and prognosis of the condition.

OBJECTIVE:To study the apoptosis of human leukemic cells induced by Dihydroartemisinin and its molecular mechanism.METHODS:Human leukemia K562 cells were treated by Dihydroartemisinin.The inhibitory effect on cell proliferation was assayed by MTT.Fluorescence microscopy was applied to observe the presence of apoptosis.The expression of caspase-3 was assayed with reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction(RT-PCR).Levels of mitochondrial and cytoplasmic cytochrome C were determined using Western blot.RESULTS:After treatment with Dihydroartemisinin for 48 hours,the IC50 values of human leukemia K562 cells were 8? 10-5mol? L-1 detected at a wavelength of 570nm by MTT.Distinct morphology changes of cell apoptosis such as karyopyknosis and conglomeration were observed by Hoechst33342/PI staining.RT-PCR assay showed the expression of Caspase-3.Western-blot detection showed the decrease of mitochondrial cytochrome C concentration but the positive expression of cytoplasmic cytochrome C concentration.CONCLUSION:Dihydroartemisinin could inhibit proliferation and induce apoptosis of human leakemic K562 cells,this may partially attributed to the promotion of the delivery of cyt-c and the activation of caspase-3.

AIM: To study the function of N-copine on cell level by investigating the effect of N-copine antisense on the cultured cortical neuron of mouse embryos. METHODS: Neuronal cultures were prepared from cerebral cortices of 16-day old mouse (BALB/C) embryos. N-copine expression was blocked by using antisense oligonucleotides. The effect of inhibition of N-copine expression on the cultured neuronal viability and development was observed. RESULTS: With oligonucleotides treatment for 72 h, the length of neuronal axon and the area of neurosoma in antisense group were decreased markedly as compared with those in control group. The number of trypan-blue-stained neurons and the LDH activity of the culture media were increased significantly as compared with those in control groups. CONCLUSIONS: Inhibition of N-copine expression affects the development of cortical neuron cultured in vitro, and induces the neuron demaged severely. The results suggest that N-copine is a functional protein in neurons, and it may play an important role in the regeneration of nervous system and preventing neuronal degeneration.

Objective To study the testicular breeding function and p63 expression in seminiferous tubules in androgen receptor(AR)knockout mice.Methods Eight AR knockout mice selected by Cre-lox and 8 Wistar male mice were studied.Testicular breeding function was determined by Makler score and p63 was detected by immunohistochemistry. Results Seminiferous tubules inner diameter deflated in AR knockout group than in Wistar group(60.0±1.5 μm vs 92.05±2.0μm,P＜0.01),peri-tube membrane thickened(4.0±0.7 μm vs 2.85=0.9 μm,P＜0.01),the number of cell layer decreased(2.0±0.3 vs 4.0±0.2,P＜0.01),generative eell maturation arrested(3.0±1.2 score vs 5.05±0.5 score,P＜0.01),Makler score was lower(8.0±0.3 vs 16.0±0.5,P＜0.01).p63 expression was lower in AR knockout group than in Wistar group and the expression was located at the stage of spermatogenous cell and spermatocyte.Conclusion Testicular breeding sperm function is damaged in AR knockout mice,lower expression of p63 mainly affects early differentiation in generative cells.

[Abstratc] Objective The function of cIAP1 in the progression of ovarian cancer has not been clarified . This study is to explore the involvement of cIAP 1 in regulating biological behaviors of ovarian cancer cells by u-sing RNA interference(RNAi)technology.Mte hods The short hairpin RNA plasmid targeting cIAP1 was con-structed and transfected into Skov 3 cells.The levels of cIAP1 mRNA and protein were investigated by RT -PCR and Western Blot respectively .MTT assay and flow cytometry were used to evaluate cell proliferation and apopto-sis.R esults The rate of cIAP1 transfection was 74.7%performed by flow cytometric analysis .cIAP1 expression was significantly down -regulated at both mRNA and protein levels ,which resulted in a decrease of cell prolifera-tion and invasion capability in vitro .Conclusion This study implies that cIAP 1 might play an important role in the progression of ovarian cancer ,and it could be a potential target for therapeutic anti -cancer drugs .

OBJECTIVETo explore efficacy enhancing and detoxification roles of Jiedu Quyu Zishen Recipe (JQZR) in treating systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) by studying its effect on Toll like receptor 9 (TLR9) signal pathway of murine macrophage cells after JQZR stimulated CpG oligodeoxynucletide (CpG ODN).

METHODSMurine macrophage cells in vitro cultured were randomly divided into 4 groups, i.e., the blank serum group, the CpG ODN stimulus group, the CpG ODN + dexamethasone group, the CpG ODN + medicated serum group. Murine macrophage cells were collected after 24-h intervention. The expression of TLR9, myeloid differentiation factor 88 (MyD88), NF-KB, IFN-α mRNA were analyzed by RT-PCR. The expression of TLR9 and NF-κB protein were analyzed by Western blot. Changes of the NF-KB transcriptional activity were assayed by Dual-Luciferase reporter assay system.

RESULTSmRNA expressions of TLR9, MyD88, NF-κB, and IFN-α, protein expressions of TLR9 and NF-κB, and NF-κB transcriptional activities were enhanced, showing statistical difference when compared with those of the blank serum group (P <0. 05, P <0. 01). Compared with the CpG ODN stimulus group, mRNA expressions of MyD88, NF-κB, and IFN-α, the protein expression of NF-κB and the NF-κB transcriptional activities decreased in the CpG ODN + dexamethasone group with statistical difference (P <0. 01). Compared with the CpG ODN stimulus group, mRNA expressions of TLR9, MyD88, NF-κB, and IFN-α, protein expressions of TLR9 and NF-κB, and NF-κB transcriptional activities were decreased in CpG ODN+ medicated serum group with statistical difference (P <0. 01).

CONCLUSIONEfficacy enhancing and detoxification roles of JQZR in treatment of SLE might be realized through regulating TLR9 signal pathways.

OBJECTIVETo observe the effects of Xiaobai Decoction (XBD) in reducing albuminuria and shortening the duration of albuminuria in patients with pregnancy-induced hypertension syndrome (PIH) in puerperium.

METHODSEighty-five patients were given the conventional treatment with magnesium sulfate for relieving convulsion and lowering hypertension, at the same time, the treated group was given XBD additionally with the modification according to the symptoms. The treatment course for both groups was 14 days. Routine test of midstream urine was performed every three days, and 24 h-urinary protein was measured every week.

RESULTSThe therapeutic effect on the 43 patients of the treated group was markedly effective in 11 (25.6 % ), effective in 26 (60.4%) and ineffective in 6 cases (14.0%), the total effective rate being 86.0%; while in the 42 patients of the control group, the corresponding numbers were 5 (11.9%), 21 (50.0%), 16 (38.1%) and 61.9%, respectively, the efficacy of the former was significantly better (P < 0.05).

CONCLUSIONXBD is a simple, safe and effective drug for reducing albuminuria and shortening the duration of albuminuria in puerperium of PIH patients.

Objective To discuss the curative effect of different operative methods for the treatment of urethrocutaneous fistula (UCF) after urethroplasty.Methods Clinical data of 54 cases of UCF from January 2003 to July 2011 were collected.Simple suture,advancement skin flap,pedicle penile skin flap urethroplasty,tongue/buccal mucosa urethroplasty were performed according to the size,location,number and whether there was urethral stricture of UCF.The treatment effect was recored and analyzed.Results The success rate of UCF repair was 85％ (46/54).There were 4 patients cured after second surgery.The success rates of repair of UCF with simple suture,advancement skin flap,pedicle penile skin flap urethroplasty,tongue/buccal mucosa urethroplasty were 95％,76％,82％,and 83％,respectively.Postoperative recurrence was observed in 5 patients in 6 months after the surgery and 4 of them received the re-operation.Conclusion According to the principle and the individual circumstance,taking personalized operative methods may improve the success rate of the repair of all kinds of UCF.

Objective To evaluate the mechanism of external branch of the superior laryngeal nerve (EBSLN) injury during thyroid surgery as showed by intraoperative neuromonitoring.Methods 70 patients with 109 nerves at risk were enrolled in this study from March 2011 to October 2011.A positive signal is determined by observing contractions of the cricothyroid muscle.The relationship between EBSLN and the upper pole of the thyroid or the inferior constrictor muscle was studied.Results 108 nerves (99.1％) were located successfully,42 of which were visualized (38.9％).55 nerves (50.9％) crossed the superior thyroid artery more than 1 cm apart,while the other 53 nerves (49.1％) went less than 1 cm including 24 nerves(more than 0.5 cm,less than 1 cm) and 29 nerves (less than 0.5 cm) or coursed below the superior pole of the thyroid.The rate of the latter type was significantly elevated in patients with the top to botton diameter of the gland more than 5 cm.One patient suffered from impairing in the production of high tones postoperatively.Conclusions Intraoperative neuromonitoring is useful and helpful in providing instructive information for operations by locating EBSLN.
