Purpose:To investigate the influence of doxorubicin chemotherapy on overexpression of epithelial growth factor. Methods:Cancer animal model was made and treated with doxorubicin. The concentration of EGF protein in Plasma and mRNA in cancer tissue were detected by ELISA and Real-time quantitative RT-PCR respectively and the correlation of this parameter was evaluated. Results:The plasma concentrations of EGF expression were 3X Group 1.19?0.42 pg/ml, 1X Group 1.61?0.51 pg/ml, control group 2.13?0.68 pg/ml, and normal 0.91?0.33 pg/ml respectively. The concentration of EGF were analysed by ANOVA q test. The median concentrations of mRNA were 3X Group 1.6?10 3 copies/ml, 1X Group 8.5?10 4 copies/ml, control 4?10 5 copies/ml, and normal 2.5?10 2 copies/ml respectively, and were analysed by rank-sum test. It was shown that the control group had higher EGF and EGFR expression level than those treated with doxorubicin. Objective: To study the influence of screening dementia with mini-mental state examination (MMSE) combining with delay memory test . Methods: MMSE and delay memory test are used in screening 301 residents. The diagnosis of dementia is according to the DSM-Ⅲ-R criterion. The validity and reliability were studied when the MMSE and delay memory test were used to screen dementia alone or combined. Results: When MMSE was used to screen dementia alone, the specificity, sensitivity, false positive proportion and false negative proportion were 85.40%, 52.43%, 47.56% and 14.60% respectively. When delay memory test was used to screen dementia alone, the specificity, sensitivity, false positive proportion and false negative proportion were 74.45%, 92.07%, 7.93% and 25.55% respectively. If parallel connection of MMSE and delay memory test were used to screen dementia, the specificity, sensitivity, false positive proportion and false negative proportion were 95.62%, 49.39%, 50.61% and 4.38% respectively. If MMSE was in series with delay memory test, the specificity, sensitivity, false positive proportion and false negative proportion of screening dementia were 64.23%, 95.73%, 4.27% and 35.77% respectively. Conclusion: The parallel connection of MMSE and delay memory test can elevate sensitivity of screening dementia and decrease false negative proportion, so it is important in epidemiologic investigation. MMSE in series with delay memory test will raise specificity of screening dementia and decrease false positive proportion, so it is useful for diagnosing early dementia.

Objective: To investigate the therapeutic effect of acupuncture plus hyperbaric oxygen in treating hypoxemic infantile encephalopathy (HIE). Methods: Fifty-nine HIE children were divided into treatment (33 cases) and control (26 cases) groups. Both groups were treated by basic therapy of removing acidosis, controlling cerebral edema and convulsion, and intravenous drip of cerebrolysin or citicoline. The treatment group was treated by acupuncture plus hyperbaric oxygen and the control group was treated by hyperbaric oxygen only. Results: The total effective rate was 97.0% in the treatment group and 73.1% in the control group. Statistical analysis showed a highly significant difference (P＜0.01). Conclusion: Acupuncture plus hyperbaric oxygen was better than simple hyperbaric oxygen in treating HIE. Its main manifestations were shortening the course of disease, increasing cure rate, decreasing death rate and reducing the occurrence of sequelae.HIE children should be treated as early as possible.

Needling point Xingjian (LR 2 ) through Taichong (LR 3) was used as main therapy to treat 57 headache cases by syndromic differentiation, which was compared with the treatment of another 60 cases with conventional points. The curative rate was 100% and 91.7% separately in one of the two groups. There was a significant difference in curative effect (P ＜0.01 ). The effect of the point-through-point method was superior to that of the conventional point method.

OBJECTIVE To investigate antimicrobial resistance of Enterobacter cloacae in our hospital,for guiding the treatment of these infections in clinical practice.METHODS Bacterial susceptibility testing was done by Kirby-Bauer method and bacteria were identified by VITEK-32.Retrospective analysis of the drug resistance was done to the E.cloacae isolated from our hospital in the recent 3 years.RESULTS A total of 364 E.cloacae strains were isolated,which mainly isolated from sputum.They were resistant to 13 types of antibacterial agents but the resistance rate to imipenem was 3.30%.The resistant rate to third and fourth generation cepholosporins(excepting cefoperazone/sulbactam) and quinolones was more than 30% and to ampicillin and cefazolin was more than 94.00%.CONCLUSIONS E.cloacae is severely resistant to cepholosporins and quinolones.More attention should be paid to the surveillance of such strains.Imipenem may be considered for use in critical patients.

Objective To investigate the transactivating effect of hepatitis C virus(HCV)core protein on inducible nitric oxide synthase(iNOS)gene promoter and the molecular biological mecha- nisms of HCV pathogenesis.Methods Polymerase chain reaction(PCR)technique was employed to amplify the sequence of iNOS promoter by using HepG2 genomic DNA as template,and the product was cloned into pGEM-T vector.The iNOSp gene was cut from T-iNOSp by KpnⅠand XhoⅠ,and then was cloned into pCAT3-Basic,the constructed vector was named as pCAT3-iNOSp,pCAT3-iN- OSp was transfected into the LO_2 cell line.LO_2 cell was also cotransfected with pcDNA3.1(-)-core and pCAT3-iNOSp by FuGENE 6 transfection reagents.The LO_2 cells transfected with pCAT3-Basic was used as negative control.The activity of CAT in LO_2 cells was detected by an ELISA kit after 48 hours,which reflected the transactivating function of HCV core protein to iNOS gene promoter.Re- sults The expressive vector pcDNA3.1(-)-core and report vector pCAT3-iNOSp had been construc- ted and confirmed by restriction enzyme digestion and sequencing.The expression of CAT in LO_2 cells transfected with pCAT3-iNOSp and peDNA3,1(-)-core was 11 times as higher as that of pCAT3-bas- ic,and 6 times as higher as that of pCAT3-iNOSp.Conclusion It is suggested that HCV core protein can transactivate iNOS gene promoter.

Objective To investigate the cause of low rate for dementia diagnosiss in out-patient clinic.Methods All outpatients between September 15,2009 and December 25,2009 were screened by IQCODE,MMSE and neuropsychological examination.Diagnosis of dementia and its subtype were confirmed according to DSM-IV-TR,NINCDS-ADRDA,and NINDS-AIREN criteria.The caregivers of dementia patients were interviewed with questionnaire.Results There were 8,042 outpatients in the period and 1716 patients completed IQCODE,317 completed MMSE,72 completed a set of neuropsychological test.41 patients were diagnosed as dementia which composed of 23 cases of AD (56.1％),12 cases of vascular dementia(29.3％),2 cases of mixed dementia(4.9％),4 cases of other types of dementia(9.7％),and the prevalence of dementia at age of over 55 years was 1.8％ in out-patient clinics.Among the patients,18 cases were mild dementia (43.9％),19 moderate dementia (46.3 ％ ) and 4 severe dementia (9.8 ％).Four patients(9.8 ％ ) were diagnosed as dementia by case history,15 patients(36.5％) were diagnosed as dementia by clinic doctors,while 22 patients (53.7％) were diagnosed as dementia in the survey.35 caregivers finished questionaire,and 10 caregivers(28.6％) had no knowledge about dementia,22(62.8％) caregivers had a few knowledge and 3(8.6％) caregivers had lots of knowledge.19 (46.3％) dementia patients went to see a doctor with cognitive impairment and 22 (53.7 ％) with other symptoms.The reasons for delay in seeing a doctor included that caregivers considered the impairment of cognition as a result of normal aging (54.3％),patients rejected to see a doctor(14.3％),caregivers considered no treatment for dementia (5.7 ％),and there was economic reason ( 2.9％),inconvenient (8.5 ％) and others ( 14.3 ％).Conclusions The visiting rate of dementia patients in china is very low and many demented patients do not receive early diagnosis and treatment.Patients' delay may contribute to the lack of knowledge of caregivers,and to doctor's ignore of the cognitive impairment.
