ObjectiveTo evaluate the retinal function with central serous chorioretinopathy (CSC) and the fellow eyes (mf-ERG).MethodsTwenty patients (40 eyes) with unilateral CSC, diagnosed by fluorescein angiography, were examined on each eye of the patients by mf-ERG multifocal electroretinography. The patients aged from 31 to 53 (13 men, 7 women; mean age, 41 years), and the CSC eyes had visual acuities of 0.2 to 0.8. None of the patients had significant abnormality in the fellow eyes with visual acuities of 0.8 to 1.5. Twenty-four healthy people (29 normal eyes with visual acuities of 1.0 and more and without any retinal diseases) were studied simultaneously as the normal control. The stimulus matrix of 61 hexagonal elements were grouped into 5 concentric rings from the fovea outward to 30? of the degree of visual field. The first-order responses of mf-ERG were recorded. The first negative wave (N 1-wave) and positive wave (P-wave) of the mf-ERG were measured. Amplitude intensities and latechies for the two configurations were calculated and compared.ResultsCompared with the control eyes, the responses were not only depressed severely in P 1- and N 1-wave amplitude intensities in the ring 1~3 in the CSC eyes with CSC (P0.05). There were no significant differences in N 1- and P 1-wave latencies in 5 concentric rings among the control eyes, the fellow eyes or the CSC eyes.ConclusionsCSC is a kind of macular disease involving both eyes. It may cause the decrease of retinal function in macular area of CSC eyes and also influence the retinal function in macular area of the fellow eyes. mf-ERG is a sensitive way in examining visual function.

Objective To explore the relationships of self-esteem, implicit self-esteem and perfectionism in the depressed patients. Methods Both of the depression group (n=50) and control group (n=45) completed the self-esteem scale (SES), the self-acceptance questionnaire (SAQ), the Chinese Frost multidimensional perfectionism scale (CFMPS), the implicit association test and the Raven’s Standard Progressive Matrices. The implicit association test were performed before (pre-IAT) and after (later-IAT) the Raven’s Standard Progressive Matrices. Results The SES score was lower in depression group than in control group (P=0.002). To the IAT score, the interaction effect of group and time achieved no statistically different (P=0.735). The group main effect of IAT was significant (P=0.001). The IAT score was higher in de?pression group than in control group (P=0.013). The time main effect was significant (P=0.033). The pre-IAT was higher than later-IAT (P=0.007). The depression group had higher scores of concern over mistakes (P=0.007) and doubt about action (P=0.006) dimension of CFMPS, and lower score of parental expectations (P=0.038) dimension than the control group. The later-IAT was negatively related with parental expectations dimension and the total score of CFMPS in the de?pression group (P<0.05). Depressed patients’SES and SAQ scores were negatively related with concern over mistakes and doubt about action dimension and the total score of CFMPS (P<0.05). Conclusion The instability of implicit self-es?teem of depressed patients is associated with negative perfectionism.

Herald of Medicine 2017;36(2):122-126
Fever in patients with severe craniocerebral injury was a frequent occurrence. The rate of fever patients lead to plant man or death high up to 28%-72%.The univariate analysis found that there was significant association between fever and motality. One of the common cause of fever was non-infectious fever, which related with craniocerebral injury, including central fever, dehydration fever, clonus and rebleading fever. The major complication was central high fever after servere craniocerebral injury. The temperature high up to 39 ℃,which aggravated the original basic diseases, lead to respiratory and circulatory failure.Another cause of fever was infection fever which associated with nosocomial infection.Serious disease, long hospiltal stay, high proportion of invasive operation, coma were the high risk factors of patients with craniocerebral injury. The major type of nosocomial infection were pudmonary infection and surgical site infection.By reviewing domestic and foreign literatures and expert consensus, this article was intended to explore the characteristics and mechanism of fever in patients with craniocerebral injury. In order to reduce the secondary brain injury, decrease the disability rate, increase the sutrvival rate, diagnosis and treatment should be taken early.
