About 50% to 60% of the stage Ⅱ-Ⅲ colorectal carcinoma patient suffer from liver metastases.Recently, there is a research hotspot on how to improve the prognosis of the colorectal carcinoma liver metastases (CRLM) patient. It can elucidate the way how the carcinoma cells transfer from the original tumor to the liver, through establishing a CRLM animal model. An ideal CRLM animal model should perfectly mimic the total procedure of the metastases pathway, including the change of the cytology behavior and the development of the tumor biology.Besides, the model should be practical,tumor-predictable and accord with the ethical consideration.Until now, there is not an ideal CRLM animal model can perfectly match those conditions. This review goes through the advantages and disadvantages of different CRLM animal model methods used for research.

Objective To study the distribution characteristics of TCM constitutions of hormone-dependent breast cancer patients; To provide references for TCM diagnosis and treatment. Methods TCM constitution differentiation in the 210 patients with hormone-dependent breast cancer were investigated by a questionnaire survey, which is made according to the Classification and Determination of TCM Constitutions invented by professor Wang Qi and four methods of diagnosis of TCM, with a purpose to investigate the correlation of TCM constitutions and TCM syndrome differentiation typing. Results There was statistical significance among TCM constitutions of the 210 patients with hormone-dependent breast cancer (P<0.001), with yin deficiency 43.8% (92 cases), qi stagnation 15.2% (32 cases), qi deficiency 11.4% (24 cases), blood stasis 7.6% (16 cases), and yang deficiency 6.7% (14 cases). There was statistical significance among TCM syndromes (P<0.001), with dysfunction of Chong and Ren channels 63.8% (134 cases), stagnation of liver qi syndrome 16.2% (34 cases), weakness of the spleen and stomach syndrome 11.4% (24 cases). There was statistical significance between dysfunction of Chong and Ren channels and correlation of TCM constitutions (P<0.001).Conclusion Most hormone-dependent breast cancer patients are accompanied with yin deficiency pattern and the syndrome differentiation typing of dysfunction of Chong and Ren channels. There is correlation between dysfunction of Chong and Ren channels and TCM constitutions.
6.The expression and significance of COX-2 and VEGF in clear renal cell carcinoma
Journal of Chinese Physician 2013;(3):293-295
Objective To study the correlation between vascular endothelial growth factor(VEGF) and cyclooxygenase-2 (COX-2) in clear renal cell carcinoma (CRCC).Methods In 60 cases of CRCC and 10 cases of normal renal tissue, immunohistochemistry was used to examine the expression of COX-2 and VEGF.Results The positive expression rate of COX-2 in CRCC (76.7%) was significantly higher than that in normal renal tissue (20%) (x2 =10.28,P <0.01).The positive expression rate of VEGF in CRCC(73.3%) was significantly higher than that in normal renal tissue (20%) (x2 =8.58,P <0.01).The expressions of COX-2 and VEGF in CRCC were correlated with each other (r =0.469,P <0.01).Conclusions The expressions of COX-2 and VEGF were involved in the pathophysiolical processes of clear renal cell carcinoma. The expression levels of COX-2 and VEGF might be used to evaluate the development of clear renal cell carcinoma.

Medical Journal of Chinese People's Liberation Army 2001;0(11):-
Objective To study the effect of human Slitrk1 gene on proliferation and differentiation of PC12 cells. Methods The CDS sequence of Slitrk1 was amplified by PCR, and then cloned into pcDNA4 vector. The recombinant plasmid pcDNA4/Slitrk1 were transfected into rat PC12 cells by lipofectamine. The stable expression cell clones were screened by RT-PCR. MTT method was used to detect the proliferation rate of PC12 cells. The morphologic changes in PC12 cells were observed microscopically. Results The stable cell lines expressing pcDNA4 (pcDNA4/PC12) and pcDNA4/Slitrk1 (ST1/PC12) were established. Compared to pcDNA4/PC12 cells, the growth rate of ST1/PC12 cells was decreased. In addition, pcDNA4/PC12 cells tend to grow as well as the normal PC12 cells. However, most of the ST1/PC12 cells adhered to the plate with one or two neurites. Conclusion Over-expression of human Slitrk1 gene inhibited the proliferation of PC12 cells and promoted the outgrowth of neurites. It is suggested that human Slitrk1 gene may be involved in differentiation of PC12 cells.

Chinese Pharmacological Bulletin 1986;0(05):-
Aim To explore the mechanism of polydatin (PD) treating shock through investigating influence of PD in protein kinase C (PKC) activity of myocardial cells when myocardial cells are treated by ischemia and hypoxia. Methods The hypoxia model was set up by drawing off the oxygen of an enclosed acryl glass box and ischemia model by low sugar culture medium. The activity of PKC was measured by ?-scintillation counter. Results The activity of PKC of myocardial cells cytoplasm in normal situation after the cells were treated by PD decreased(vs normal group P0.05). Conclusion PD antagonizes the damage by reversing the PKC activities, which is associated with the anti-shock effect of PD.

Journal of Chinese Physician 2001;0(01):-
Objectives To analyse the predisposing cause and clinical manifestasion of diabetic ketoacidosis (DKA) complicated with multiple organic failure (MOF),in order to diagnose early and management timely. Methods 537 diabetic patients admitted in our hospital from 1997 to 2000 were included in this cases retrospective study. 182 cases of them complicated with DKA or DKA complicated with MOF (58) were further analyzed by cause, clinical manifestation, number of organs in MOF and the prognosis. Results Analysis showed that the main cause of MOF in DKA patients was infection (84 5%). The higher incidence of MOF in older DKA patients than those of younger. The possible involved organs in MOF were kidney, heart and brain etc. Involving organs of MOF were much, the mortality was closely correlated with the number of involved organs. Conclusions The possible way to reduce the incidence of MOF in DKA patients is intensive preventing and treating infection. To avoid MOF occurring in DKA patients, complications of kidney, heart and brain should be timely diagnosed and managed.
