Objective To explore the expression of Bcl-2 and calretinin(CR)in enteric ganglion cells in different developmental conditions and its significance.Methods The immunohistochemical staining was carried out to detect the expression of Bcl-2 and CR in enteric ganglion cells at different intestinal segments from tissue samples of 40 hirschsprung disease(HD) cases(age,26 d to 12 years old),10 Hirschsprung's allied disease(HAD) cases and 10 normal controls.Results In immature ganglion cells,there was a strong expression of Bcl-2,and no positive to or poor expression of CR.In mature ganglion cells,there was a strong expression of CR but no positive Bcl-2 staining.Conclusion The specific expression of Bcl-2 and CR may play an essential role in judging if the ganglion cells are mature.Bcl-2 might be of importance in the maintenance and restore of the fuction of enteric immature ganglion cells.

A method for the determination of Pt、Pd、Ru、Rh 、Ir and Au in geological samples was studied. The sample was fused by sodium pe roxide and determined by a double focusing high resolution inductively coupled p lasma mass spectrometer “ELEMENT” after the separation and enrichment by co-precipitation with Te. Detection limit of the method was between 1～9ng/g and the recovery was ＞90%. Our analytical results for some domestic or interna tional reference materials were in agreement with the certified values.

Recent developments on separation and analysis of bacterial cells by capillary electrophoresis are reviewed. Based on bacterial surface characterization, capillary electrophoresis technique can be utilized for rapidly identify and quantify intact bacteria and microbes at a certain phase. The microbe-molecule interactions can also be described. The separation of microbes that can not be cultured in lab appears to be possible by this method. It makes profound effects on separation science and microbiology to establish capillary electrophoresis procedure for the separation and analysis of bacterial cells.

Objective Study the effect of transvaginal bitths in term pregnant women with less amniotic fluid B-mode ultrasonography suggested on neonatal and find the correct approach. To test whether Con A has antirejection effect on mouse islet allograft, 600-700 handpicked islets of C57BL/6 mice was transplanted beneath the kidney capsule of the streptozotocin induced diabetic BALB/C recipients. In control group the mean survival time (MST) of the grafts was 14.1?2.4 days. Treatment with Con A significantly prolong the MST of the islet allografts. In group with Con A treatment of the donor islets prior to the transplantation the MST was 25?5.4 days. The MST increased sigificantly after ip injection of Con A to recipient mice. The combined treatment of islet and recipient with Con A resulted in a prolongation of MST to 25.2?4.4 days. The experiments concerning the mechanisms of the antirejection effect of Con A showed that Con A was able to combine with the islet cell membrane well masking perhaps the histocmpatibility antigen. Furthermore the lymphocytes of mice after i. p Con A injection suppressed the lymphocyte proliferation reaction of the svnergic mice to mitogen.

Laboratory animal industry forms an independent, comprehensive system responsible for the production, use and management of laboratory animals.Great advances have been made in this field in China over the more than thirty years of development.However, due to the great development and changes during this long time, there are also some issues which need to be amended and changed.To compare the concepts of experimental animals in China and developed countries such as USA.The key concepts on the laboratory animals are not well or clearly defined in the regulatory documents in China, which hinder the healthy development and effective regulation in this field, as well as the care and use of laboratory animals in research and education.In this article, we discuss the necessity of timely amendment and standardization of the key concepts and definitions related to laboratory animals, and the importance and impact of the key concepts on the development of animal industry in China.
