1.Changes of Amino Acid Absorption through Small Intestines in Rats with Burn Injury
Journal of Third Military Medical University 1983;0(03):-
37% TBSA third degree burns was inflicted to rats and they were decapitated on the third day postburn. The 3H-proline absorption ratio of the everted small intestine of the burn group (1.87?0.27) was significantly lower than that of the control group (2.35?0.49) In the burn group, the ATPase activity of the small intestinal mucosa was 5.61?2.27 nmole/min/mg protein, and the Na+-K+-ATPase activity was 2.86?0.83 nmole/min/mg protein, while they were 9.63?1.04 nmole/min/mg protein and 5.36?0.95 nmole/min/mg protein in the control group respectively. Thus,it was apparent that the two activities decreased markedly in the rats with burn injury It was found that the amino acid absorption ratio was positively correlated with the activity of Na+-K+-ATPase of the small intestine mucosa in the burn group as well in the control group. The relative coefficient was 0.744 p(1) 0.025 in the control, and 0.776 p(1) 0.025 in the burn group. It suggests that the decrease of amino acid absorption ratio in the burn group is likely due to the decreased activity of Na+-K+-ATPase activity.
2.High-frequency transcranial magnetic stimulation for alleviating post-stroke depression
Chinese Journal of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation 2010;32(7):513-515
Objective To explore the clinical effect of high-frequency repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation (rTMS) on post-stroke depression (PSD). Methods Sixty PSD patients were randomly divided into an rTMS group and a control group, each of 30 patients. In addition to conventional treatment, rTMS group members were given high-frequency rTMS treatment for 10 d while the control group were given sham stimulation. In order to test the efficacy, the two groups were compared using the Hamilton depression rating scale (HAMD) before and after 10 and 30 days treatment. Results After 10 days of treatment the rTMS group had significantly lower HAMD scores than before treatment, and average HAMD scores differed significantly between the rTMS group and the controls, with the former performing significantly better. There was no obvious difference in HAMD scores after 30 days of treatment between the two groups. Conclusions High-frequency rTMS is a safe and effective treatment for PSD.

Abstract?AlM: To evaluate the difference of contrast sensitivity ( CS) in photopic and scotopic environments in eyes with myopia and myopic astigmatism operated with femtosecond laser in situ keratomileusis ( femto-LASlK ) and laser in situ keratomileusis ( LASlK) .?METHODS: ln a prospective study 160 myopia and myopic astigmatism patients' eyes were involved, which accepted femto- LASlK or LASlK in our hospital from January 2010 to February 2012. The myopia degree was -1. 50 ~ -10. 00D, the astigmatism degree ≤-6. 0D. Eighty eyes were treated with femto-LASlK in group A, and 80 eyes were treated with LASlK in group B, All patients in the treatment group completed the final 6mo of follow-up. The uncorrected visual acuity ( UCVA) and the best spectacle-corrected visual acuity ( BSCVA) , objective and manifest refractions, results of slit-lamp examination, the side effects, intraocular pressure, corneal topography, CS in photopic and scotopic environments were noted.? RESULTS: All of operations on 160 cases were successful without severe complication after 6 mo follow-up. CS of femto-LASlK group ( group A) at each spatial frequency environment were higher than that of LASlK group (group B). ln group A, after 1mo the photopic CS, after 3mo of scotopic CS recovered to the preoperative level, 6mo after surgery improved than before the operation. ln group B, after 3mo photopic CS to the preoperative level, scotopic CS at 6mo after operation was still not recovered to the preoperative level.?CONCLUSlON:Femto-LASlK for correction of myopia and myopic astigmatism, in improving the postoperative contrast sensitivity under shade environment has more advantages than LASlK.
6.Determination of Triptolide and Wilforlide A in Biological Samples by LC-MS/MS.
Journal of Forensic Medicine 2015;31(6):445-453
OBJECTIVE:
To determinate triptolide and wilforlide A in biological samples by liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry (LC-MS/MS) method and to verify the method.
METHODS:
After 0.4 mL blood, urine or 0.4 g hepatic tissues with internal standard were extracted by ethyl acetate, they were separated on a Allure PFP Propyl (100 mm x 2.1 mm, 5 µm) with a mobile phase of methanol-20 mmol/L ammonium acetate using gradient elution. For mass spectrometric detection, electrospray ionization (ESI⁺) in positive mode was elected and the data was collected using multiple-reaction monitoring (MRM).
RESULTS:
The linearity was good (r > 0.995 0) and the limit of detection was 2 ng/mL or 2 ng/g for triptolide and wilforlide A. The recovery was 61.08%-102.98%. The intra-day and inter-day precision was less than 12.58% for each biological sample, and the accuracy was 90.61%-105.80%.
CONCLUSION
This method is simple, convenient and good selective, and could be applied to analysis of triptolide and wilforlide A in different biological samples. And the method may provide technical support for forensic medicine identification, clinical diagnosis and treatment of tripterygium wilfordii Hook. f. poisoning.
