Korean Journal of Urology 1994;35(9):1032-1035
Lymphangiomas are uncommon tumors that are believed to result from abnormal communication between large dermal lymphatic channels and central lymphatic system. Predilection sites are the chest, neck, axilla, buttock and thigh but may occur on almost any area of skin. Retroperitoneum is very uncommon site of lymphangiomas. They show the highest incidence of onset in infancy, the majority are present by age 5 years. Three types are distinguishable: 1) superficial lymphangioma circumscriptum and 2) deep lymphangioma cavernosum and 3) cystic lymphangioma (hygroma). We report two cases of cavernosal type of lymphangiomas with asymptomatic abdominal mass in 4-year-old female and perineal mass in 2l-year-old male patient.

Korean Journal of Anesthesiology 1992;25(4):684-693
Twenty one patients undergoing elective orthopedic or gynecologic operation were randomly assigned to receive anesthesia with propofol 2.0mg-propofol infusion 6~10 mg/kg/hr-nitrousoxide 50%(propofol group) or thiopental 4~5mg/kg-isoflurane-nitrous oxide 50%(Thiopental group). The cardiovascular effects were initial decreases of systolic, diastolic, mean arterial pressure, cardiac output and stroke volume and increase in heart rates. There was no difference between broups. AFter tracheal intubation systolic, diastolic and mean arterial pressure increased in propofol group but not in isoflurane group. During maintenance tehre was no difference in hemodynamic parameters between groups. Hematologic, renal and hepatic functions revealed no difference between pre-and post-anesthesia in both groups. The cortisol levels were not changed after anesthesia in both groups. The recovery time was significantly shorter in porpofol group than in isoflurane group.

Journal of the Korean Radiological Society 2001;45(4):353-355
Spontaneous herniation of the spinal cord is a rare disease entity in which spinal cord substance is herniated through a previously uninjured and/or untouched dura. It is a cause of myelopathy that is treatable but difficult to diagnose. We report the CT and MR findings of a case of spontaneous thoracic spinal cord herniation manifesting as ventrolateral protrusion of thoracic spinal cord through a dural defect.

A coronary artery aneurysm was first reported by Bougon in 1812, and was able to be diagnosed during life with advance of selective coronary arteriography. We have recently seen a 62-year-old woman who had intermittent anterior chest pain and dyspnea on exertion(NYHA functional class II) and diagnosed a coronary artery aneurysm by coronary arteriography. A saccular formed coronary artery aneurysm was located at left main coronary artery at the juction of the bifurcation of LAD and left circumflex artery and it's was 2cmx2cm and it's thickness of wall was 0.5cm. After the patency and consistency of coronary arteries were confirmed, resection of aneurysm with aneurysmorrhaphy was performed.

Journal of the Korean Radiological Society 2001;44(3):305-308
A ganglion cyst is a tumor-like lesion that contains mucous or myxoid material in the fibrous capsule. We report a case of ganglion cyst located in the lumbar anterior epidural space and causing lumbar radiculopathy. Computed tomography and magnetic resonance imaging revealed the cyst as a cystic lesion with wall en-hancement. Myelography showed that it was not filled with contrast medium and not connected with the dura, nerve root, or facet joint.

A 59-year old man presented with a 0.5 x 0.3 cm-sized area of, pink-colored, dome-shaped papules on the paranasal area. There was no previous history of trauma to the area. Histopathologic diagnosis was consistent with eccrine poroma. We reported a case of eccrine poroma arising on the paranasal area, an unusual location for this condition.

A 35-year-old woman with advanced lung cancer, treated with intravenous docetaxel and paclitaxel, developed subungual abscesses and secondary onycholysis involving all the finger nails. Bacterial culture demonstrated the growth of Pseudomonas aeruginosa. We report a case of onycholysis and subungual abscesses in a patient treated with docetaxel and paclitaxel.
