Objective:To examine the relationships between acute stress disorder (ASD) symptoms, posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD) symptoms and depressive symptoms in children survivors following the Lushan earthquake in China. Methods:One hundred ninety-seven children aged 1 to 14years (93 male and 104 female) were followed up at two and six weeks after Lushan earthquake. The ASDS,UCLA PTSD Reaction Index and DASS were used to measure the ASD,PTSD and depressive symptoms. Results:The average scores of ASDS and the depression subscale of DASS at two weeks after earthquake were(36.5 ± 10.9) and (3.3 ± 2.8),respectively.The average scores of UCLA PTSD Reaction Index and the depression subscale of DASS-21 at six weeks after earthquake were (18.5 ± 12.6) and (3.3 ± 3.5),respectively.The rates of ASD and PTSD were 28.6% and 8.2%,respectively.The cross-lagged structural equation analysis with latent variables indicated that the ASD symptoms at two weeks after earthquake positively predicted PTSD symptoms (β =0.59,p < 0.001) and depressive symptoms (β =0.29,p <0.001) at six weeks after earthquake. But there was no significant association between depressive symptoms at two weeks and PTSD symptoms at six weeks after earthquake. Conclusion:ASD symptoms in the early time postearthquake could predict subsequent PTSD and depressive symptoms, while depressive symptoms tend to remain stable within six weeks after earthquake.

Acta Pharmaceutica Sinica 2024;59(1):84-93
Fraction absorbed (Fa) is an important parameter to describe the absorption level of oral drugs, and an important basis for the development and optimization of the formulation process. Because it is easily confused with the concept of absolute bioavailability, it has not received enough attention from the industry. There are many complex factors affecting Fa. There are three time-related factors that directly affect the extent of Fa: the release time, the absorption time, and the residence time. The relationship between these three time-related factors determines the extent of Fa. Generally, we are more concerned about the apparent factors that affect the extent of Fa, including independent variables and covariates; The independent variables include administered dose, route, dosage form, etc. The covariates are divided into internal and external factors, and external factors include food factors, drug interactions,

International Eye Science 2014;(12):2220-2222
AlM: To observe the effects of the coelomic cavity injection of triamcinolone acetonide ( TA) combined with laser photocoagulation on patients with retinal vein occlusion.
METHODS:Fifty-six patients of retinal obstruction with macular edema were accepted from January 2010 to December 2012 in our hospital. All patients received iodized lecithin and Xueshuantong. And, patients with central retinal vein occlusion ( CRVO ) , hemi- central retinal vein occlusion ( hemi-CRVO ) and branch retinal vein occlusion ( BRVO ) treated by TA combined with laser photocoagulation, respectively. Follow-up period was of at least 6mo
RESULTS: After the treatment of 1, 3 and 6mo, the central foveal thickness was reduced significantly ( P<0. 05). After followed up 6-12mo, the total effective rate of CRVO, Hemi-CRVO and BRVO patients was 83% ~95% and all the patients had no significant adverse reactions.
CONCLUSlON:Basing on the traditional treatment, TA combined with laser photocoagulation is more effective in the treatment of retinal vein occlusion and is worthy of clinical usage.

Tetradrine-tashionone II(A)-PLGA composite microspheres were prepared by the SPG membrane emulsification method, and the characterization of tetradrine-tashionone II(A) -PLGA composite microspheres were studied in this experiment. The results of IR, DSC and XRD showed that teradrine and tashionone II(A) in composite microspheres were highly dispersed in the PLGA with amorphous form. The results of tetradrine-tashionone II(A) -PLGA composite microspheres in vitro release experiment showed that the cumulative release amounts of tetradrine and tashionone II(A) were 6.44% and 3.60% in 24 h, and the cumulative release amounts of tetradrine and tashionone II(A) were 89.02% and 21.24% in 17 d. The process of drug in vitro release accorded with the model of Riger-Peppas. Tetradrine-tashionone II(A) -PLGA composite microspheres had slow-release effect, and it could significantly reduce the burst release, prolong the therapeutic time, decrease the dosage of drugs and provide a new idea and method to prepare traditional Chinese medicine compound.

The gene fragment encoding the egg-shell precursor protein of Schistosoma japonicum was amplified with RT-PCR by using PCR primer designed according to the 423 bp cDNA fragment of the Philippine strain of S.japonicum, the corresponding mDNA fragment of Chinese strain as template and then the 5' and 3' ends of this gene cDNA were amplified with 5' RACE and 3' RACE by using a series of primers designed according to the result of sequencing. Result of sequence analysis showed that this fragment, named as Sj423, contained a complete open reading frame (ORF) of gene encoding the egg-shell precursor protein of S.japonicum.(Chinese strain). As demonstrated by sequencing analysis. No intron could be detected in this gene fragment. This gene was subsequently expressed in E.coli after cloning into the expression vector pET28c(+). The molecular mass of the expressed product of this gene was 20.9 kDa as revealed by SDS-PAGE analysis, and Western blot analysis showed that the recombinant protein expressed could react well with the rabbit antiserum against the worm antigen of S.japonicum;indicating the good antigenicity of this expressed product.

Objective To investigate clinical characteristics of relapsing polychondritis(RP)and to improve early recognition for it.Methods Clinical and laboratory data of 56 patients with RP were analyzed retrospectively. Results Ratio of number of male patients to female ones was 1.2.Age at onset was(46?11)years(ranging from 27 to 71)and average interval between onset and diagnosis was(21? 35)months,(8?6),(16?31)and(29?37)months for patients initial onset with auricle, respiratory tract and joints involved, respectively.Site involved included airway in 40 patients(71.4%),auricle in 32 (57.1%),joints in 32(57.1%),eyes in 27(48.2%),nasal chondritis in 25(44.6%)and inner ear in 13(23.2%).At initial stage of the course,17 patients were misdiagnosed as respiratory infection (30.4%),nine as perichondritis(16.1%),six as pulmonary tuberculosis(10.7%),five as rheumatoid arthritis(8.9%).Seven of 40 patients with airway involvement received metallic stents for their tracheobronchial stenosis.Four patients whose condition never improved after regular therapy all had respiratory involvement. Conclusions Patients of RP with initial onset at non-auricle,non-nasal sites tended to be misdiagnosed.Prevalence of airway involvement was not so low with a poor prognosis in patients of RP.

AIM: To investigate the function of matrix metalloproteinase-3 (MMP-3) and urokinase-type plasminogen activator receptor (uPAR) to macroangiopathy in type 2 diabetes mellitus. METHODS: The levels of MMP-3 and uPAR in plasma were determined by ELISA sandwich method in 26 healthy controls and 39 patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus including 15 complication-free cases and 24 with macroangiopathy. RESULTS: The plasma level of uPAR but not MMP-3 was higher in patients without macroangiopathy than that in normal controls (P
