Objective To assess the efficacy and safety of radiotherapy combined with sodium glyci-didazole (CMNa)in treating nasopharyngeal carcinoma by conducting a Meta-analysis.Methods Randomized clinical controlled studies (RCTs)of radiotherapy plus CMNa versus radiotherapy alone in the treatment of nasopharyngeal carcinoma were retrieved from China Biology Medicine disc,China National Knowledge Infrastruc-ture,digital journal of Wanfang Data,China Science and Technology Journal Database,PubMed and Cochrane Library.According to the inclusion and exclusion criteria, data extraction and quality assessment were done by two researchers independently, and clinically important measures were selected.Outcomes were pooled with Rev-Man 5.2.Results The rate of complete remission (CR)in the radiotherapy combined CMNa group was better than that in the radiotherapy alone group in 1 .41 multiple to primary lesion,RR =1 .41 ,95%CI:1 .30-1 .52, Z =8.20,P =0.00.To lymphonodi cervicales metastasis, the rate of CR in the radiotherapy combined CMNa group was better than that in the radiotherapy alone group in 1 .45 multiple,RR =1 .45,95%CI:1 .30-1 .62, Z =6.50,P =0.00.There were no significant differences in the incidence rates of adverse reactions of skin (RR =0.97,95%CI:0.87-1 .08,Z =0.57,P =0.57 ),mucosa (RR =1 .03,95%CI:0.93-1 .15,Z =0.65, P =0.52 )and decrease in white blood cells (RR =0.84,95% CI:0.56-1 .25,Z =0.87,P =0.38). Conclusion In the treatments of nasopharyngeal carcinoma, the rates of CR of primary lesion and lymphonodi cervicales metastasis in radiotherapy combined with CMNa group are superior to the radiotherapy alone group. However, the occurrence rates of adverse reactions in the two groups have no obvious differences.

Objective To observe the value of shear wave viscoelastography(SWV)for differentiating lung peripheral inflammatory masses and malignant tumors. Methods Conventional gray-scale ultrasound and SWV were prospectively performed in 70 patients with lung peripheral inflammatory mass or malignant tumor. The patients were divided into malignant group(n=42)and inflammatory group(n=28)according to pathological results.Clinical and ultrasonic data, including the maximum diameter of lesions, the mean Young's modulus(Emean),mean viscosity(Vmean),and mean dispersion slope(Dmean)were compared between groups.Receiver operating characteristic curves of ultrasonic parameters being significantly different between groups were drawn, and area under the curves(AUCs)were calculated to evaluate the efficacy of each parameter for differentiating lung peripheral inflammatory mass or malignant tumor. Results In malignant group, the maximum diameter and Emean of lesions were both higher, while Vmean and Dmean of lesions were both lower than those in inflammatory group(all P<0.05).Vmean and Dmean of lesions had moderately/good efficacy for differentiating lung peripheral inflammatory mass or malignant tumor(AUC=0.843,0.866),both better than that of conventional ultrasound and Emean(AUC=0.673,0.685)(all P<0.05).The combination of Emean,Vmean and Dmean had good efficacy for differentiating lung peripheral inflammatory masses and malignant tumors, with AUC of 0.874.Conclusion The viscous parameters of SWV could effectively differentiating lung peripheral inflammatory masses and malignant tumors.

To demonstrate the effect of AB serum on terminal erythroid differentiation ex vivo.
Methods: After separation of CD34+ cells from cord blood, the cells were cultured and divided into a control group and an experimental group. The effects of AB serum were examined by the expressions of different markers (GPA, Band3 and α4-integrin) for erythroblast differentiation and enucleation by flow cytometry.
Results: The CD34+ cells were successfully differentiated to enucleated red blood cells. There were evident differences among the expressions of GPA, Band3 and α4-integrin between the 2 groups. The percentage of GPA positive cells in the experimental group was bigger than that in the control group in every time point. The expression of Band3 in the experimental group was higher than that in the control group. The expression of α4-integrin in the experimental group was lower than that in the control group. In addition, the enucleation rate in the experimental group was higher than that in the control group.
Conclusion: AB serum can promote the cell differentiation and enucleation during terminal erythroid differentiation in vitro.
