Objective To study the responsible arteries of duodenal ulcer hemorrhage and the significance of transcatheter arterial embolization.Methods There were 1 7 patients of massive bleeding of duodenal ulcer,in which 1 6 patients were diagnosed and 8 ca-ses were treated by endoscope initially.DSAs were performed at gastr-oduodenal arteries or their ramus in all patients.DSA signs were analysed by two salted docters together.At first the responsible ar-teries for duodenal ulcer hemorrhage were affirmed,and then endo-vascular embolization was performed.Results The responsible arteries for duodenal ampulla ulcer hemorrhage were the ascending duodenal artery(ADA)、the pancreaticoduodenal trunk(PDT)、the supraduodenal artery(SDA)and the retroduodenal artery (RDA).The responsible arteries for descendant duodenum ulcer hemorrhage were the anterior superior pancreaticoduodenal artery (ASPDA)and the posterior superior pancreaticoduodenal artery(PSPDA).The positive rate of bleeding that showed the signs of bleeding was 100%,the s-uccess rate of the operations was 100%,the complete efficiency ra-te of hemostasis was 88.2%,the par-tial efficiency rate of hemostas was 1 1.8%.Conclusion The responsible arteries of duodenal ulcer hemorrhage are multiples,which is important for guiding transcatheter arterial embolization of the responsible arteries of duodenal ulcer hemorrhage accurately.

Objective:To investigate the effects of 17-? estradiol (E2) on the proliferation and metastasis of adenoid cystic carcinoma SAcc83 cells.Methods:The effects of E2 on the proliferation of SAcc83 cells were studied by MTT assay and flow cytometry.The invasion potential of the cells was investigated with chicken embryo heart invasion assay.The in vivo growth and metastasis of SAcc83 cell induced tumor were studied in ovary-resected female nude mice. Results:E2 at 10 -7 ,10 -8 and 10 -9 mol/L promoted the proliferation of SAcc83 cells. E2 at 10 -7 mol/L showed the strongest growth stimulation effects and increased the cell proliferation by 34.4%.With exposure time of 1,2 and 3 d it increased the proliferation index by 33.3%,40.9% and 17.8% respectively;with the exposure time of 12,18 and 24 h,it increased S phase cells in cell cycle by 12.3%,3.3% and 9.7% respectively. Neoplasm developed in all nude mice after subcutaneous transplantation of 106 cells.In the mice treated with 0.2 ml of E2 at 9.55 ?10 -5 mol/L every day for 15 days neoplasm volume doubling time was 61.5 h,that in control mice 76.5 h.In lung metastasis trial, 42 days after tail injection of the cells the metastasis foci in E2 treated mice inreased by 41.2%.Conclusion:E2 may increase the proliferation and metastasis of adenoid cystic carcinoma cells.

Objective To analyze the flavonoid content of common fruits consumed in China.Method Thirty-eight fruits were sampled from Beijing,Tianjin,Shanghai and Hangzhou.The contents of quercetin,kaempferol,luteolin,myricetin,apigenin were determined with high-performance liquid chromatography.Results Pomegranate and hawthorn were the highest in contents of 5 flavonoids among 38 fruits.Quercetin distributed more widely and was more abundant than other flavonoids in fruits.The daily intake of 5 flavonoids from fruits by Chinese people was estimated to be 2.80 mg.Conclusion The content of flavonoids varies significantly among different fruits and quercetin is the most common flavonoid contained in fruits.

Objective To discuss the feasibility and clinical value of percutaneous transluminal stenting (PTS) for the treatment of central venous obstruction (CVO) in hemodialysis patients with arteriovenous fistula (AVF).Methods The clinical data of 10 hemodialysis patients with AVF complicated by CVO were retrospectively analyzed.Clinically,all patients presented as swollen hand syndrome.Preoperative or intraoperative digital subtraction angiography (DSA) was performed to determine the obstruction site,and based on the disease condition the appropriate surgical approach was employed.For patients having thrombus formation,catheter-directed thrombolysis (CDT) was carried out first.For patients having severe stenosis or occlusion of veins,pre-expansion with small diameter balloon was employed before PTS.For the remaining patients,PTS was directly performed.All patients were regularly followed up after operation.Results DSA showed that brachiocephalic vein occlusion and/or occlusion or stenosis of subclavian vein,internal jugular vein and superior vena cava were observed in 5 patients who had history of internal jugular vein catheterization,while localized severe stenosis of medial segment of AVF-side subclavian vein was detected in the other 5 patients who had no history of internal jugular vein catheterization.The technical success rate of PTS was 100％ (10/10).A total of 19 stents were implanted in the 10 patients.Seven months after the treatment,one patient developed in-stent re-stenosis,and PTS had to be carried out again.Primary patcncy rates at 6 months and 12 months after the treatment were 100％ (8/8) and 75％ (3/4) respectively.Conclusion In hemodialysis patients with AVF,CVO is mainly characterized by obstructive or severely stenotic lesions.PTS carries higher success rate with satisfactory short-term and mid-term effect,its complications are slight and mild,and the technique is safe and feasible.Therefore,PTS can be used as the preferred treatment method.

OBJECTIVE:To observe clinical effect and safety of Shenfu injection combined with linezolid in the treatment of severe pneumonia caused by methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA). METHODS:In retrospective study,62 MRSA severe pneumonia patients selected from ICU of our hospital during Jun. 2012-Oct. 2015 were divided into observation group (25 cases)and control group(28 cases)according to medication plan. Based on routine treatment,control group was additionally given Linezolid injection 600 mg,ivgtt,bid. Observation group was additionally given Shenfu injection intravenously with initial dose of 60 mL,and then given continuous intravenous infusion of 60 mL at a rate of 20 mL/h,q12 h,on the basis of control group. Both groups were treated for consecutive 2 weeks. Clinical efficacy,bacteriological efficacy,cardiac function indexes and serum levels of inflammatory factors before and after treatment as well as the occurrence of ADR were compared between 2 groups. RESULTS:The clinical response rate of observation group was 88.00%,which was significantly higher than 60.71% of control group,with statistical significance (P<0.05). Bacterial clearance rate of observation group was 72.00%, and that of control group was 64.28%,there was no statistical significance between 2 groups(P>0.05). Before treatment,there was no statistical significance in cardiac function indexes and serum inflammatory factor levels between 2 groups(P>0.05). After treatment,LVEF,SV,CO and CI of 2 groups were increased significantly compared to before treatment,while the levels of TNF-α,IL-6,CRP and PCT were de-creased significantly;the indexes of observation group was significantly better than those of control group,with statistical signifi-cance (P<0.05). No severe ADR was found in 2 groups. CONCLUSIONS:Shenfu injection combined with linezolid effectively improves the cardiac function of patients with MRSA severe pneumonia,enhances the anti-inflammatory effect,and have a very significant clinic effect with good safety.

BACKGROUND: Most scholars believed that injured vertebral body needs to be fixed in the open surgery of thoracolumbar vertebral fractures; however, it is unclear whether injured vertebra needs to be fixed in the minimaly invasive surgery. OBJECTIVE: To investigate the clinical outcomes of minimaly invasive percutaneous self-dilating pedicle in repair of injured vertebral fixation in thoracolumbar vertebral fractures. METHODS: Totaly 36 patients with thoracolumbar vertebral fractures without nervous system injury who received treatment in Honghui Hospital, Xi’an Jiaotong University Health Science Center from February 2013to February 2014 were enroled and divided into injured vertebral fixation and cross-injured vertebral fixation groups (n=18/group). Patients in these two groups were al subjected to minimaly invasive percutaneous self-dilating pedicle treatment. The injured vertebral body, upper, and lower vertebrae of injured vertebral body were fixed in injured vertebral fixation group, and the upper and lower vertebrae of injured vertebral body was fixed in cross-injured vertebral fixation group. RESULTS AND CONCLUSION: Compared with the injured vertebral fixation group, the cross-injured vertebral fixation group had smaler incisions, less intraoperative blood loss, less operation tine and intraoperative X-ray fluoroscopy time (P < 0.05). After one year of internal fixation, the anterior vertebral height, anterior vertebral height percentage and kyphotic Cobb angle of patients in these two groups improved compared with those before internal fixation (P < 0.05), but there were no significant differences in anterior vertebral height percentage, kyphotic Cobb angle and Oswestry disability index between these two groups (P > 0.05). These results demonstrate that anterior vertebral height cross-injured vertebral fixation has the similar clinical effect with injured vertebral fixation, but cross-injured vertebral fixation had more advantage in the operation. Therefore, there is little significance of conducting injured vertebral fixation in the surgery of minimaly invasive percutaneous self-dilating pedicle in repair of thoracolumbar vertebral fractures.

Objective: To establish the method of HPLC for determination of 5 flavonoids in vegetables. Methods: The hydrolysis, extraction and HPLC procedures were optimized and used to determine the contents of quercetin, myricetin, luteolin, kaempferol and apigenin in 30 vegetables commonly consumed in Tianjin. Results: The procedures were well optimized with the CV ranging from 2.8% to 6.5%, and the recoveries ranging from 90.2% to 108.4%. The detection limits were 0.4 mg/L for quercetin, luteolin, kaempferol and 0.8mg/L for myricetin and apigenin, respectively. Quercetin was detected in 29 vegetables, ranging from 7.55 mg/100g FW to 0.60 mg/100g FW; apigenin was found in 5 vegetables, luteolin in 7 vegetables and myricetin in 8 vegetables, but no kaempferol in all vegetables. Lotus root, onion, kidney bean, tomato, celery contained higher contents of total flavonoids. Conclusion: The optimized HPLC method was reliable and accurate. The composition of flavonoids was different in analyzed vegetables in which quercetin was predominant almost in all of them.

Objective To investigate the effects of oxidative stress on homocysteine and related amino acids metabolism in methionine-loading BRL rat hepatocytes.Methods Cultured BRL rat hepatocytes were divided into control and oxidatively stressed group(100 μmol/L H2O2 was added in culture medium for 2 hours),methionine group(50 mmol/L methionine was added in culture medium for 1 hour),and oxidatively stressed + methionine group(100 μmol/L H2O2 was added in culture medium for 2 hours + 50 mmol/L methionine was added in culture medium for 1 hour).At the end of the experiment,culture fluid was collected.Homocysteine,cysteine,and glutathione were measured by high-performance liquid chromatography,and amino acids were assayed by amino acids analyzer.Results Compared with the control group,the contents of homocysteine[(3.76 ± 0.22)vs.(1.54±0.05)μmol/L,P=0.000]and cysteine[(199.80 ±8.75)vs.(99.11 ±2.47)μmol/L,P=0.000]significantly increased in methionine group,and the contents of homocysteine[(3.84 ± 0.34)vs.(1.54 ±0.05)μmol/L,P=0.000]and cysteine[(200.66±8.60)vs.(99.11 ±2.47)μ mol/L,P=0.000]also increased in oxidatively stressed + methionine group.Compared with oxidatively stressed group,the concentrations of homocysteine[(3.76 ± 0.22)vs.(1.67 ± 0.13)μmol/L,P =0.000],cysteine[(199.80 ± 8.75)vs.(82.64±15.88)μmol/L,P=0.000],and glutathione[(1.50 ±0.14)vs.(1.00 ±0.11)μ mol/L,P=0.011)]significantly increased in methionine group,and the concentrations of homocysteine[(3.84 ± 0.34)vs.(1.67±0.13)μmol/L,P=0.000],cysteine[(200.66±8.60)vs.(82.64±15.88)μmol/L,P=0.000]and glutathione[(1.40 ± 0.30)vs.(1.00 ± 0.11)μmol/L,P =0.028]significantly increased in oxidatively stressed + methionine groups.Compared with the control group,the contents of serine[(12.41 ± 1.51)vs.(24.00 ±2.54)mg/L,P =0.000],glutamate[(33.31 ±0.17)vs.(43.10 ±0.52)mg/L,P =0.000]and glycine[(6.23 ± 0.18)vs.(24.66 ± 10.87)mg/L,P =0.000]significantly decreased,while taurine [(7.99 ±0.16)vs.(6.17 ±0.15)mg/L,P =0.000]increased significantly in oxidatively stressed group.Compared with the oxidatively stressed group,the concentrations of serine[(16.98 ± 0.39)vs.(12.41 ± 1.51)mg/L,P=0.006)]and glutamate[(35.44 ±0.82)vs.(33.31 ±0.17)mg/L,P =0.002]in methionine group significantly increased,while taurine[(3.77 ±0.16)vs.(7.99 ±0.16)mg/L,P =0.000]significantly decreased in methionine group.Compared with the methionine group,the contents of serine[(12.59 ± 0.66)vs.(16.98±0.39)mg/L,P=0.008],glutamate[(30.87±0.60)vs.(35.44±0.82)mg/L,P=0.000]significantly decreased while taurine[(4.37 ± 0.12)vs.(3.77 ± 0.16)mg/L,P =0.001]in oxidatively stressed + methionine group significantly increased.Conclusion Oxidative stress can somehow promote homocysteine production in methionine loading BRL rat hepatocytes,but it is not the main effects.
