(5.14 ± 0.71) mmol/L ,(4.75 ± 0.64) mmol/L] and low density lipoprotein cholesterol [LDL-C , (3.64 ± 0.45 ) mmol/L vs . (3.01 ± 0.51 ) mmol/L , (2.15 ± 0.55) mmol/L] ,IMT [ (1.15 ± 0.15) mm vs .(1.01 ± 0.08) mm , (0.98 ± 0.02) mm] and total plaque score [ (6.10 ± 2.12) scores vs .(4.61 ± 2.08) scores , (4.59 ± 2.34) scores] in Xuezhikang group and rosuvastatin group , P<0.05~ <0.01 .After treatment ,there were no significant difference in above indexes between Xuezhi-kang group and rosuvastatin group ( P> 0.05 all) except that LDL-C level of rosuvastatin group was significantly lower than that of Xuezhikang group ( P< 0.05 ) .Conclusion:Both Xuezhikang and rosuvastatin can significantly improve carotid atherosclerosis ,and their therapeutic effects are equal .

Objective: To investigate the findings of coronary artery angiography in coronary artery disease patients with diabetes mellitus. Methods: The angiographic fingings of 153 coronary artery disease patients from 1995 to 1997 were reviewed. Among them, 33 were diabetic,23 were impaired glucose tolerance(IGT) and 97 were nondiabetic patients. Results: The age, sex, hypertension, hypercholesterolemia, smoking and the rate of myocardial infarction were the same among 3 groups. But the 2 vessel and 3 vessel disease were more frequent in diabetic group(66.7% ,30.3%) than in nondiabetic group (26.8%,19 6%). Two vessel disease were more frequent in diabetic group(66.7%) than in IGT group (13.1%). Single vessel disease were less frequent in diabetic group(3.0%) than in IGT group(52.2%)and nondiabetic group(53.6%)( P

Objective To explore the auditory P300 potentials in rehabilitated male patient of heroin addicts (MPHD),as well as the change of P300 amplitude in the drug craving state. Methods Rehabilitated MPHD patients (n =20) and healthy controls (n =20) underwent standard auditory P300 test.Only the patient group completed auditory P300 test after viewing neutral video and drug craving video respectively. Results Rehabilitated MPHD patients showed reduction of P300 amplitude (Cz:(2.72 ± 1.90) μV vs (3.99 ± 1.74) μV ; Pz:(4.48 ± 1.87) μV vs (5.61 ± 1.39) μV ; P < 0.05) than that of healthy controls in standard auditory P300 test.Patients who had been successfully induced by drug craving video demonstrated higher P300 amplitude (Pz:(5.00± 1.68) μV vs (4.19 ± 1.62) μV; P<0.05) after viewing drug craving video than that of viewing neutral video. Conclusion MPHD patients have cognitive impairment in their rehabilitation period;and P300 index can partially reflect the attention change in patients' drug craving state.

ObjectiveTo explore gamma resonance signals in acute medication-free schizophrenics, and the effects of antipsychotics on gamma activity.MethodsSchizophrenia patients( n=56) and normal controls ( n =18 ) underwent auditory steady-state event-related potential testing and were evaluated of their psychopathic syndromes with the positive and negative syndrome scale (PANSS) before and after 8 weeks of medication with oral chlorpromazine or clozapine.Click trains varying in rate of stimulation 40 Hz were presented; EEG-evoked power and intertrial phase synchronization were obtained in response to stimulation frequency.ResultsSchizophrenic patients showed reduced evoked power( Fz:( 5.08 ± 1.48) μV2 vs (6.91 ± 1.64) μV2 ; Cz:(4.70 ± 2.03 ) μV2 vs ( 6.93 ± 1.43 ) μV2 ; P < 0.01 ) and a tendency of reduction in phase synchronization ( Fz:0.14 ± 0.04 vs 0.13 ± 0.04,P =0.051 ; Cz:0.18 ± 0.06 vs 0.17 ± 0.06,P =0.056) in response to 40 Hz stimulation. However significant correlations were not observed between oscillatory responses and clinical parameters in schizophrenic patients. There were no significant differences of gamma power and ITC in patients before and after chlorpromazine or clozapine administered.ConclusionSchizophrenia patients have deficits in the power and coherent of gamma oscillations, and can not be normalized by medication with antipsychotics.

ObjectiveToanalyzetheclinicalandimagingcharacteristicsinpatientswithcarotidsteal syndrome ( CSS ) and to investigate its compensatory pathw ays, diagnosis, and treatment. Methods The medical history and imaging data of the patients with CSS were colected. Their vascular lesions, colateral circulation, treatment, and prognosis w ere analyzed. Results A total of 11 patients w ith CSS (8 males and 3 females, mean age 66.7 ±5.1 years) were enroled in the study. Their clinical manifestations were posterior circulation transient ischemic attack (TIA) ( n=9, 81.8%), posterior circulation infarction ( n=1, 9.1%), and anterior circulation TIA ( n=1, 9.1%). A total of 19 pathological arteries w ere found:12 (63.1%) w ith occlusion, 2 (10.5%) w ith subtotal occlusion, 4 (21.0%) w ith severe stenosis and 1 (5.2%) w ith artery dissection. Seven patients (63.6%) w ere bilateral internal carotid artery lesions, 3 (27.2%) w ere unilateral bilateral internal carotid artery lesions, and 1 (9.1%) w as bilateral common carotid artery occlusion. Eleven patients had primary col ateral circulation, including posterior communicating artery patency in 10 patients (90.9%) and anterior communicating artery patency in 1 patient (9.1%). Four patients (36.3%) had secondary col ateral circulation and 1 (9.1%) had tertiary col ateral circulation. Al patients w ere treated w ith medication on the basis of the management of risk factors. Three patients w ere treated w ith stenting and tw o were treated with carotid endarterectomy. No stroke occurred in al patients during folow -up til September 2014. Conclusions The vascular lesions of patients w ith CSS often occur in the extracranial segment of internal carotid artery. Usual y the compensatory blood is through the circle of Wil is. The presentation is ischemia in the stolen arteries. Its diagnosis needs to be examined by digital subtraction angiography. On the basis of medication therapy, some patients may be treated w ith surgery or endovascular intervention.

Objective To study the mechanism underlying attentional biases toward event-related potentials (ERPs) in healthy male subjects. Methods 18 male healthy subjects performed emotional stroop task by pressing the buttons to the picture border color of two categories including the neutral and positive. The RT and Accuracy were recorded automatically. The ERPs were recorded by Neuroscan system. Results The behavioral results showed that neither the reaction time (628.11 ± 55.46) ms vs (628.81 ± 53.92) ms nor accuracy (96.87 ± 4.42) % vs (95.76±7.41)% found difference under two conditions.ERPs results showed that the positive pictures evoked more greater P2 ((8.16±4.99)μV vs (4.30±3.83)μV) and P3 ((6.31±4.53)μV vs (4.27±4.16)μV) than neutral pictures. Conclusion Attentional biases toward positive emotion can be found in healthy male subjects, which can be related to emotional control process.
