Chinese Journal of Medical Library and Information Science 2017;26(3):78-80
The important role of library in reading popularization was elaborated, with the main ways for reading popularization and the principal information literary education methods for reading popularization librarians listed, including learning of professional knowledge and skills, training of career virtue, and reading brand popularization. The training of reading popularization librarians and selection of characteristic brand plans can provide the theoretical basis for library to carry out this innovative service.
2.Input-output analysis of 17 research institutions with data envelope analysis
Chinese Journal of Medical Science Research Management 2012;25(1):24-27
As more attention is given to people's life and health,China continues to increase investment in scientific research to improve the level of medical research. However, the efficiency of the investment is unknown. In this study,we used the method of data envelopment analysis (DEA) to investigate the input-output relative efficiency of the projects funded by National Natural Science Foundation of China and completed in 2009 at 17 research institutes. We found 11 institutes to be DEA efficient, and 6 to be inefficient. It also showed that adjustment of research structure and setting performance objectives may improve the level of research management and increase the efficency of the investment.
3.Establishment of blended readers training model with 5 D interaction
Chinese Journal of Medical Library and Information Science 2016;25(12):67-69,76
A blended readers training model which combines online training (micro-lecture, online class, etc) with traditional training ( face to face teaching plus computer training) was proposed according to the theories in re-lation with blended learning, and scientific strategies for interaction of readers were established, which include the 5 dimensions ( demand, object, content, resource and evaluation) in order to integrate online learning resources and traditional offline training, optimize the allocation of training resources, and improve the training efficiency.

Chinese Journal of Medical Library and Information Science 2015;(6):42-46
Libraries are faced with the crisis of being marginalized in the era of network.Medical academic library should thus adapt to the changing information behaviors of users in study , teaching and scientific research and pro-vide their service according to the user needs-orientedsubject librarian service model , mobile library service model, and sharing commons service model. The service provided in the top 18 medical academic libraries in China according to the 3 models was analyzed, which showed their low popularization rate, insufficient depth and repeti-tion.Measures that should be taken for the solution of such problems were put forward.

BACKGROUND: Monoamine hypothesis has been demonstrated by researches. However, the correlation between the metabolite of plasma monoamine neurotransmitter and anti-depression treatment in patients with depression has less been reported.OBJECTIVE: To study the effect of different drugs on metabolite of plaama monoamine neurotransmitter, and the correlation between the metabolite of plasma monoamine neurotransmitter and anti-depression treatment in patients with depression.DESIGN: Case controlled study.SETTING: Neurological Department and Brain Institute of Nanjing Medical University.PARTICIPANTS: Forty patients with depression hospitalized in Nanjing Brain Hospital (depression group) were diagnosed with the second revised edition of China classification of mental diseases(CCMD-2) and the tenth edition of International classification of diseases. And the total score of Hanmilton rating scale for depression(HAMD) was more than 17. Healthy voluntary blood donators in the control group were from Nanjing Municipal Central Blood Station( n = 20).INTERVENTIONS: Antidepressant was used in the depression for 4 weeks: fluoxetine 20 mg per day; 5-serotonin selective reuptake inhibitor (SSRI) paroxetine 20 mg per day; venlafaxime 50- 100 mg per day;5-serotonin and morepinephrine selective reuptake inhibitor(SNRI) fluvoxamine 50-100 mg per day. High performance liquid chromatograpy(HPLC)was used to measure the level of metabolite of plasma monoamine neurotransmitter in patients with depression before and 42 week after treatment, and the HAMD was used to evaluate clinical effect of the patients.MAIN OUTCOME MEASURES: The levels of metabolites of plasma monoamine neurotransmitters in patients with depression: 5-hydroxyindoleace tic acid(5-HIAA), 3-methoxy-4-hydroxyphenylglycol(MHPG) and homovani llic acid(HVA) were measured before and 4th week after treatment.RESULTS: The levels of 5-HIAA, MHPG and HVA of the metabolites of plasma monoamine neurotransmitters in patients with depression before treatment [ (20.3±14.6), (124.8±103.6), (54.7±32.1) μg/L] were all lower than those in the normal control group[ (39.5±28.4), (334.5 ±107.3), (88.5±37.2) μg/L], with statistically significant differences (P<0.05). After SSRI treatment, the 5-HIAA content[ (37.1±21.9)μg/L]was significantly increased as compared with that before treatment, whose difference indicated significant meaning ( P<0.05), but the differences in MHPG and HVA had no significant meaning as compared with those before treatment(P>0.05) . After SNRI treatment, 5-HIAA and MHPG contents [(35.4±25.2 ), (291.2±120.4) μg/L] both were significantly increased, which indicated significant difference as compared with those before treatment( P<0.05); but HVA level had no significant changes.CONCLUSION:'The peripheral neurotransmitter metabolites in plasma can reflect their states in brain. The change of neurotransmitter metabolite in plasma can be regarded as an important reference index for the evaluation of depression.

Objective:To study the masseter motor evoked potential(MEP)in patients with sleep bruxism(SB)and in healthy con-trols.Methods:30 subjects with SB and 30 healthy controls were included.MEPs were obtained by transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS).Tests were done during daytime when the subjects were awake. The data were statistically analysed. Results:In the patients AMT was 55(52,55)%,latency of c-MEP (6.7 ±1.3)ms,the amplitude of c-MEP 0.19(0.15,0.29)mV,latency of r-MEP (2.3 ±0.4)ms,the central conduction time(CCT)4.4(3.3,5.2)ms.In the control subjects AMT was 52(52,55)%,latency of c-MEP (6.4 ±0.7)ms,the amplitude of c-MEP 0.23(0.17,0.28)mV,latency of r-MEP (2.4 ±0.4)ms,CCT 4.0 (3.4,4.4) ms.No significant difference was found between the 2 groups in the measurements evoked by TMS.Conclusion:The MEP after TMS in patients with SB is similar to that of healthy subjects, indicating that the excitability of the cortical motor system is not changed in bruxism subjects,at least when evaluated by TMS.

The maturity and scientific research strength of medical subjects between PRC and India and between PRC and Japan were demonstrated by comparing the scale and production distribution of international papers authors between PRC and India and between PRC and Japan according to the SCADC(2011), SCIE, InCites Statistical Analysis Database, non-regression fitting curve, K-S Test and Rnew fitting goodness, which showed that SCADC(2011) and SCIE displayed 53 specific medical subjects.Lotka distribution and author scale analysis showed that the maturity and scientific research strength of tropical medicine and pediatrics were lower while those of drug abuse, combined traditional and western medicine, primary health care, medical informatics, parasitology, audiology, speech and language pathology were higher in PRC than in Japan.
