1.New therapeutic strategies for eradication of Helicobacter pylori in children
International Journal of Pediatrics 2016;43(12):905-908,909
Helicobacter pylori is closely related to many digestive system diseases, such as chronic gas-tritis,digestive ulcer, gastric mucosa associated lymphoid tissue lymphoma and gastric cancer, also leads to chil-dren with iron deficiency anemia, growth retardation, asthma, allergic diseases etc. So it is a key strategy to pre-vent and treat these diseases by eradicating Helicobacter pylori. Due to the increasing rates of antimicrobial resist-ance of clarithromycin and metronidazole, the eradication rate of standard triple therapy is 1ess than 80%in re-cent years. Especially in areas of high clarithromycin resistance and standard triple therapy have not been recom-mended as first-line therapy,it is necessary to investigate a new therapeutic strategy to improve the eradication rate of Helicobacter pylori. The new treatments for eradication of Helicobacter pylori in children is mainly based on sequential therapy,bismuth-based therapy, concomitant therapy and probiotics treatment. This article reviews the research progress of the new treatments in recent years.
2.Quantitative research technology of tuina manipulations
Journal of Acupuncture and Tuina Science 2019;17(2):99-104
Tuina is a physical therapy for treatment and prevention of diseases. The predecessors had summed up the systematic tuina manipulations through experiences. In order to study the scientificity and usability of the technology, the researchers established a mathematical model of tuina manipulations, and used video technology to capture the trajectory of the manipulations.Using the mechanical sensor to sense the real manipulations, researchers developed a tuina manipulation instrument and obtained a lot of basic mechanics data about the manipulation technology.Through the summary of the research results of the predecessors, accurate, true and comprehensive mechanical parameters of technology of tuina manipulations were obtained to guide the research and development of instruments of tuina manipulations, and promote the development of the discipline of tuina science.
3.Advances in the study of methyltransferase in drug metabolism
Acta Pharmaceutica Sinica 2024;59(6):1562-1568
Methyltransferase is an important metabolic enzyme whose main function is to catalyze the methylation of nitrogen, oxygen and sulfur atoms. It plays an important role in the metabolism of exogenous and exogenous compounds, including drugs

Chinese Journal of General Practitioners 2012;11(3):215-216
Five hundred elderly patients with ischemic stroke admitted from January 2008 to December 2010 were enrolled in the study, including 352 recurrent cases and 148 primary cases. There was a positive correlation of stroke recurrence with age, blood pressure, blood glucose and lipid levels, smoking and alcohol consumption of patients(P <0.05 ); while the stroke recurrence was negatively correlated with physical exercise(P < 0.05).Stepwise multiple regression analysis indicated that the blood pressure, blood glucose and lipid levels were risk factors for the recurrence of ischemic stroke in elderly patients.

Objective To analyze quality of life (QOL) and its related factors in community middle-aged and aged people with osteoporosis (OP). Methods A total of 152 OP patients in one community in Shanghai were surveyed and their QOL was evaluated with a questionnaire integrated with the QUALEFFO-41 questionnaire. Factors were analyzed using a Kruskal-Wallis test and stepwise multiple regression. Results The QOL scores of these middle-aged and aged people with OP were generally low (62.58 + 14.06). Age, education level, milk intake, a history of fractures or illness, OP grade and menopause time were significant factors predicting QOL scores. Stepwise multiple regression indicated that fractures, illness, education level and menostasis time had a linear relationship with QOL. Conclusion The key points in improving the QOL of middle-aged and aged people with OP in the community are health education, early diagnosis and comprehensive treatment.

Objective To systematically assess the efficacy and safety of electroacupuncture for trigeminal neuralgia. Method Randomized controlled trials of a electroacupuncture treatment for trigeminal neuralgia were sought by a computer search of CNKI,Wan Fang Data,VIP,CBM,PubMed,EMbas and The Cochrane Library. The retrieval time limit was from March 1996 to March 2016. Two reviewers sifted the literature and extracted data independently according to the inclusion and exclusion criteria andthen assessed the riskofbias of the included literatureusing the Cochrane risk of bias assessment tool.Ameta-analysis was made using RevMan 5.3.Result Finally, 12 articles were included with atotal of 847 subjects. The results ofmeta-analysis showed that the total efficacy rate was higher in the electroacupuncture group than in the control group [OR=4.04,95%CI(2.67, 6.13),P<0.00001].There were no statistically significant differences in the VAS score [MD=﹣0.06,95%CI(﹣0.59, 0.47),P=0.82] and the recurrence rate [OR=0.64,95%CI(0.05,7.45),P=0.54] between the electroacupuncture and control groups. Conclusion The currentlimited evidenceshows that the total efficacy rate fortrigeminal neuralgiais higher in the electroacupuncture group than in the control group. There are no statistically significant differences in the VAS score and the recurrence rate of trigeminal neuralgia between the electroacupuncture and control groups of patients. But the conclusions need more high-qualitytrials for validation owing to the limitation of the sample size of the included studies.

Objective To investigate the clinical effect of Orem self-care nursing for patients with liver cirrhosis according to the comprehensive evaluation software system of organ function. Methods 80 patients with hepatitis B cirrhosis in our hospital were enrolled. The patients' condition was evaluated with comprehensive evaluation software system of organ function.According to the severity of the disease,Orem self-care option was taken.Chronic liver disease questionnaire(CLDQ) was used to evaluate the quality of life if the patients' condition permitted.Liver health knowledge questionnaire was used to evaluate the awareness rate of liver disease.1 month after discharge, the patients' quality of life and health knowledge were measured. Results Patients were discharged after 1 month in the average quality of life score of abdominal symptoms, systemic symptoms, fatigue, activity ability, emotion and anxiety respectively (5.74±1.52)points,(5.47±1.36) points,(5.83±1.57) points,(5.90±1.22) points,(5.79±1.67)points and (5.10±1.23)points,which were significantly higher than the first score (4.52±1.31)points,(4.17±1.48)points,(4.18±1.75)points,(4.26±0.98)points,(4.40±1.32)points and (4.35±1.08)points,the differences were statistically significant(t=-3.107,-3.527,-4.875,-4.963,-3.670,-2.805,all P<0.05).Patients were discharged from the hospital 1 month after liver disease knowledge rate was evaluated for the first time increased significantly(all P<0.05).Conclusion On the basis of patients' Organ function evaluation carried out for patients with liver cirrhosis Orem self-care care, the clinical effect is good,it is worthy of promotion.

OBJECTIVE To study the effects of levofloxacin on QT correction dispersion(QTcd) interval in elderly patients hospitalized with acute exacerbations of COPD(AECOPD).METHODS Totally 124 patients received IV levofloxacin(500 mg qd) for 10-14 days.Evaluations included of 12-lead ECGs at baseline and blood examination before treatment, day 5 and after treatment.RESULTS QT correction(QTc) interval was no significant changes, but the QTcd interval was with significant prolongation.CONCLUSIONS IV levofloxacin could not cause QTc interval prolongation, but could make QTcd interval prolongation, which is a potential risk of arrhythmia in elderly patients with AECOPD.
