Objective To investigate the relationship between subclinical hypothyroidism and ambulatory blood pressure in the patients with menopause hypertension .Methods 45 menopause hypertensive patients complicated with subclinical hypothyroidism (group A)and 58 menopause hypertensive patients(group B)were studied .Systolic blood pressure ,diastolic blood pressure ,height , body mass ,urea nitrogen ,serum creatinine ,uric acid ,fasting plasma glucose ,blood lipid level ,thyroid function and 24 hours ambula-tory blood pressure were measured .Results The levels of diastolic blood pressure ,24 hours diastolic blood pressure were higher in group A than those in group B[(89 .76 ± 11 .54)mm Hg vs .(80 .18 ± 10 .37)mm Hg ,(81 .05 ± 10 .45)mm Hg vs .(75 .46 ± 8 .73) mm Hg ,P<0 .01] .SBP and DBP nocturnal dipping were lower in group A than those in group B [(6 .43 ± 3 .56)% vs .(10 .35 ± 7 .63)% ,(8 .49 ± 6 .35)% vs .(13 .02 ± 8 .92)% ,P<0 .01] .The proportion of non-dipper patients was higher in group A than that in group B(62 .22% vs .39 .66% ,P<0 .05) .Multiple linear regression analysis showed that diastolic blood pressure decreased with the increasing of age ,and increased with the increasing of serum thyrotropin level .Nocturnal dipping decreased with the increasing of BMI and serum thyrotropin level .Conclusion Thyroid function tests should be performed in menopause hypertensive patients with poorly controlled diastolic blood pressure and non-dipping ,which contributes to the diagnosis of hypertension etiology .

Objective To explore the clinical, imaging and electrophysiological characteristics of Creutzfeldt-Jakob disease ( CJD) .Methods The clinical data of 28 very probable CJD patients were analyzed retrospectively. Results Twenty-eight patients in this group, acute onset was in 5 cases, subacute onset was in 17 cases, chronic onset was in 6 cases. The initial symptoms were dizziness, gait instability in 11 cases ( 39.3%) , cognitive dysfunction in 10 cases (35.7%), visual symptoms in 3 cases (10.7%), mental symptoms, insomnia, repeated falls and barylalia in 1 case (3.6%) respectively. The clinical symptoms were progressive dementia in 28 cases (100%), myoclonus in 21 cases (75.0%), ataxia in 19 cases (67.9%), abnormal mental behavior in 7 cases (25.0%), pyramidal signs in 20 cases (71.4%), extrapyramidal symptoms in 15 cases (53.6%), visual impairment in 6 cases (21.4%), sleep disorder in 11 cases (39.3%), and aphasia in 9 cases (32.1%).Twelve patients (42.9%) had positive results with CSF 14-3-3 protein analysis.Twenty-four patients (85.7%) had MRI high signal abnormalities in caudate nucleus and putamen or/and at least two cortical regions.Eight cases (28.6%) experienced a typical periodic sharp wave complexes (PSWCs), 12 cases (42.9%) had a diffuse symmetric or asymmetric slow-wave activity, 8 cases (28.6%) showed rhythmic three-phase or delta wave, with the whole guide or forehead synchronization. Conclusion Most CJD patients are subacute or chronic onset.Initial symptoms of CJD are atypical, progressed to classical clinical characteristics presented in middle-late stages.Nearly half patients have CSF 14-3-3 protein positive.MRI DWI of mostly CJD patients have abnormal signal.EEG of nearly a third of CJD patients shows PSWCs.

Acta Universitatis Medicinalis Anhui 2013;(12):1488-1490
Objective To monitor lung growth rule of normal middle-late pregnancy fetal. Methods 599 cases of 18 and 40 weeks normal singletons were grouped by every two weeks. The length of right lung in the sagittal plane and the cross-sectional plane were measured, and the growth curve was described. The ratio of right lung area (RLa) and head circumference (Hc),chest circumference (Tc) and of the chest area (Ta) in different gestational ages was calcalated. The correlation coefficient was obtained by applying statistical analysis. Results There was a linear relationship between RLa/Hc and RLa/Tc and growth of gestational age;the regression equation was:(RLa/Hc: ?Y= 0.948X-1.221, r2 =0.898, the RLa/Tc: ?Y=0.944X-1.800, r2 =0.894). RLa/Ta in different ges-tational age was in constant range:0.42~0.55. The length of right lung in the sagittal plane and the cross-sectional plane increased along with the gestational age, and the growth speed was:before and after diameter(the cross-sec-tional plane) > upper and lower diameter (sagittal plane) > about size (the cross-sectional plane). Conclusion Prenatal ultrasound can evaluate the growth rule of normal fetal lung and provide the basis for assessment of fetal lung maturity.

Objective To study the effect of Buyang Huanwutang in inhibiting the astroglial reactivity induced by injury in vitro. Methods After cultured the spinal astroglia from newborn Wistar rats for fifteen days, cells were divided into two groups, Buyang Huanwutang group and control group without Chinese herb. Nicked the bottom of cultivated cells and a injured strip of astroglia cells of 1 mm width 15 mm length was made. Immunocytochemistry method was used to demonstrate the expression of glial fibrillary acidic protein (GFAP). Results From 2 to 48 hours after the nick, GFAP expression and the astroglial reactivity were apparently inhibited by Buyang Huanwutang. Conclusion Buyang Huanwutang can inhibit the astroglial reactive proliferation induced by injury in vitro.

AIM: To construct full length hCD59 eukaryotic and extracellular domain of hCD59 (hsCD59) prokaryotic expression vectors and prepare polyclonal antibody of hCD59. METHODS: cDNA fragments encoding hCD59 and hsCD59 were amplified from human PBMCs by RT-PCR and cloned into the eukaryotic vector pVAX-1 and prokaryotic vector pGEX-KG, respectively. The recombinant fusion protein GST-hsCD59 was expressed in E. coil BL21 induced by IPTG. Then the fusion protein was purified and identified. Polyclonal antibody against hCD59 was prepared by immunizing rabbit with pVAX-1-hCD59 and boosting with GSThsCD59 fusion protein, and the titer was identified. RESULTS: The recombinant eukaryotic vector pVAX-1-hCD59 and prokaryotic vector pGEX-KG-hsCD59 were successfully constructed. The GST-hsCD59 fusion protein was over-expressed in E. coli BL21 and the relative molecular mass (M~r) of the expression product was identical with predicted size. The titer of the anti-hCD59 serum was 1:3 200. CONCLUSION: We got the recombinant eukaryotic vector pVAX-1-hCD59, prokaryotic vector pGEX-KG-hsCD59 and rabbit anti-hCD59 polyclonal antibody successfully. These work would be helpful for the further study of the biological function of human CD59.

Chinese Pharmacological Bulletin 1987;0(01):-
Liver fibrosis can be caused by chronic liver injury arising from various etiological factors. The activation of the hepatic stellate cell(HSC) is the central event in liver fibrosis, the apoptosis of which was the initiating factor for the reversal process. The apoptosis of HSC is very complicated. The signaling pathways lack of enough research in regulating and controlling and activating HSC's apoptosis. The apoptosis pathways as known currently mainly include mitochondrial pathway, death receptor pathway and non-death receptor pathway.Based on these signaling pathways, selectively inducing cell death of activated HSCs is becoming the new antifibrotic treatment. This review focuses on the new progress of HSC's apoptosis signaling pathways, and summarizes the drugs that have the effect of inducing HSC apoptosis.
