Objective To observe the effect of case-based learning (CBL) applied in ward-round on residents training. Methods A total of 33 residents trained with routine ward-round and CBL ward-round in the neurological department were investigated with questionnaire. Results 30 effective answers were recalled. More of them reported that CBL ward-round was very significant in improving clinical thinking, mastering the specialized knowledge, developing autonomous learning and improving the communication with patients and their family members (P<0.05). Conclusion CBL ward-round is effective on improving the comprehensive professional abilities of residents.

Objective To observe the protection effects of sodium ?-aescinate(SA) on the nervous function in the rats with early spinal cord injury(SCI). Methods One hundred and twenty SD rats were randomly divided into four groups(n=30).Rats in the blank control group were performed laminectomy only, while those in the other three groups were injured at the level of Tl1 spinal segment by Allen's weight drop method(10 g ?10 cm) and immediately intraperitoneally given normal saline(5.0 mg/kg)(control group), SA(5.0 mg/kg)(SA group) and methylprednisolone(100 mg/kg)(MP group) once daily, respectively. After 8 h,24 h,96 h,7 d and 14 d,spinal cord function change of posterior limb were determined with Rivlin method. The rats were sacrificed and the injured segments were resected for pathological analysis. Results As time prolonged, the rehabilitation of spinal cord function with various degree could be observed in each group.Function rehabilitation was found among the rats in the control group,SA group and MP group 96 h after injury, and more rehabilitation was gained later in the latter two groups, while that was not the case in the control group.Rats in the SA and MP group gained more significant rehabilitation than those in the control group(P0.05).It was revealed by pathological analysis that no necrotic neurons was found in the blank control group, and the necrotic neurons in the SA group and MP group were significantly less than the control group at the same time points(P

Objective To assess the value of multi-slice spiral CT angiography (MSCTA) in diagnosis of posterior nutcracker syndrome (NCS). Methods MSCTA of 15 patients clinically diagnosed as posterior NCS (patient group) and 50 subjects with normal renal vessels (control group) were retrospectively analyzed. The anatomy, course and relationship to the adjacent structure of left renal vein (LRV) and its branches were observed. The anteroposterior diameter (d1) and cross areas (s1) of the angle of control group and posterior abdominal artery (AA), the anteroposterior diameter (d2) and cross areas (s2) at the largest lumen near the renal hilar were measured and the ratio of s2/s1 and d2/ d1 were calculated. Results All LRVs posterior AA of patient group were compressed and narrowing with dilating apparently near the renal hilar. The difference of d2 was not significant (P>0.05), but of other values were significant (P<0.05).Conclusion MSCTA can show anatomy and three-dimentional trend clearly of LRV for posterior NCS, and evaluate the extent of narrow and dilating lumen accurately with cross areas measuring.

A new embedded telemetry system for potentiometric sensors was developed. The system consisted of a transmitter unit, a receiver unit and a personal computer ( PC) . The transmitter unit included a current amplifier, a∑-Δanalog-to-digital converter ( ADC) , a microcontroller unit ( MCU) and a radio module. The receiver unit was composed of a radio module, a microcontroller unit and a serial-to-USB converter module. The receiver unit was connected to an upper computer via a universal serial bus ( USB ) . The embedded software written in C language controlled the signal acquisition and transmission. The computer software written in LabVIEW language was used for data storage and display. The range of the acquisition voltages was from-1. 17 V to +1. 17 V. In order to verify the accuracy and reliability of this system, a control experiment had been done with this system and a digital multimeter. Moreover, a response test of acidity changes had been done with the self-made H+ selective electrode. The results showed that the accuracy of this system could be up to 0. 1 mV and it had strong anti-noise ability. The square of the linear correlation coefficient of the response of the changes in pH values was 0 . 998 . The curve of the results measured by this system was consistent with that measured by the commercial electrochemical analyzer. The system was built with standard hardware components and the size of the transmitter unit was only 29 mm×14 mm×11 mm. It can be easily used for remote and real-time detection for the potentiometric sensor.

Objective To investigate the effect of different doses of dexmedetomidine combined with intercostal nerve block in regional adenomammectomy. Methods 112 patients receiving regional adenomammectomy and meeting criterions were selected from Oct.2013 to Oct.2016.And they were divided into control group and low, medium, and high dose group according to table of random number, with 28 cases in each group.Patients of the control group only received intercostal nerve block.Patients of low dose group received low dose of dexmedetomidine (0.7 μg/kg load dose and 0.25μg· kg-1·h-1 maintenance doses) combined with intercostal nerve block.Patients of medium dose group received medium dose of dexmedetomidine (0.7 μg/kg load dose and 0.5 μg·kg-1·h-1 maintenance doses) combined with intercostal nerve block.Patients of high dose group received high dose of dexmedetomidine (0.7 μg/kg load dose and 1 μg· kg-1·h-1 maintenance doses) combined with intercostal nerve block.Mean arterial pressure, heart rate,VAS score and sedation score of the four groups were detected and compared at T0,T1,T2,T3 and T4.Results The mean arterial pressure and heart rate of medium and high dose group were lower than those of the control group and low dose group at T1,T2,T3 (P<0.05).The mean arterial pressure and heart rate of high dose group were lower than those in medium dose group at T1,T2,T3 (P<0.05).VAS score of medium and high dose group were lower than those of the control group and low dose group (P<0.05),while the difference was not statistically significant between medium and high dose group(P>0.05).The sedation scores of low, medium and high dose groups were higher than those of the control group at T1,T2,T3 and T4 (P<0.05),while the sedation score of high dose group were higher than those of low and medium dose groups at T1,T2,T3 and T4 (P<0.05).Conclusion Medium and high dose of dexmedetomidine combined intercostal nerve block can effectively relieve pain for patients undergoing regional adenomammectomy, while high dose of dexmedetomidine is likely to cause bradycardia, hypotension and excessive sedation.Appropriate dosage should be chosen in clinical practice.

Journal of Applied Clinical Pediatrics 2006;0(13):-
Objective To investigate influence of nano-?-linolenic acid on expression of macrophage migration inhibitory factor (MIF) in murine model with viral myocarditis (VM).Methods Eighty male Balb/c mice were randomly divided into 4 groups equally:control group, model group, low and high dose intervention group.Mice in control group were inoculated introperitoneally with Eagle's solution.Every mouse in other groups was treated with 0.1 mL Coxsackie B3 virus(CVB3) intraperitoneally. Then, mice in low and high dose intervention group were treated with 60 and 180 mg/kg nano-?-linolenic acid solution for 1 week, respectively.Mice in control group and model group were treated with 9 g/L saline for 1 week. All mice were killed on day 15.The expression levels of myocardial MIF mRNA and protein were detected by reverse transcriptase polymerase chain reaction(RT-PCR) and immunohistochemistry.Serum MIF concentration were exa-mined by enzymelinked immunosorbent assay(ELISA).Myocardial histopathology was determined with hematoxylin and eosin stain. Results The mortality rate was 0,45%,30% and 20% in control group, model group, low and high dose intervention group, respectively. The mortality rate was significantly lower in high dose intervention group compared with model group (P
