The paper is aimed to establish a method of residue analysis for thiamethoxam and to study its degradation dynamic and final residue and its standard of safe application of thiamethoxam on Lonicera japonica. Samples extracted with methanol by ultrasonication were purified with dichloromethane by liquid-liquid extraction and SPE column and analysed by HPLC-UV. The results showed that average rate was 84.91%-94.44% and RSD 1.74%-4.96% with addition of thiamethoxam in respectively diverse concentration, which meets inspection requirement of pesticide residue. Two kinds of dosages of thiamethoxam were treated- varying from recommended dosage (90 g x hm(-2)) to high dosage (135 g x hm(-2)), Results of two years test showed that thiamethoxam was degraded more than 90% seven days after application and the half - life period of thiamethoxam was 1.54-1.66 d. The digestion rate of thiamethoxam was fast in the L. japonica. The recommended MRL of thiamethoxam in the L. japonica is 0.1 mg x kg(-1), the dosage of 25% thiamethoxam WDG from 90-135 g x hm(-2) is sprayed less than three times a year on L. japonica and 14 days is proposed for the safety interval of the last pesticide application's and harvest's date.

Chinese Journal of Medical Ultrasound (Electronic Edition) 2013;(9):48-51
Objective To investigate the clinical value of double contrast-enhanced ultrasonography (DCUS) in the macroscopic classification of rectal carcinoma. Methods Seventy-one patients with rectal carcinoma were examined by ultrasound after intrarectal infusion and intravenous bolus injection of SonoVue preoperatively. And three types were divided according to the shape of the tumor:protruding type, ulcerative type and invasive type. After surgery, DCUS and perfusion contrast-enhanced ultrasonography (PCUS) were compared with final pathologic results respectively, and the relationship between general tumor type and TN staging were analyzed. Results The accuracy of DCUS [88.7%(63/71) ] in macroscopic classification of rectal carcinoma was significantly higher than that of PCUS [73.2%(52/71) ](χ2=5.534,P<0.05). For the invasion depth into the intestinal wall, the protruding type was mainly in T1, T2 and T3 stages while ulcerative and invasive type in T2, T3 and T4 stages (χ2=12.322, P<0.05 ). For the stage of lymph node, the protruding type was mainly in N0 and N1 while ulcerative and invasive type in N1 and N2(χ2=6.733,P < 0.05 ). Conclusions DCUS, with its high accuracy, is a new valuable method for macroscopic classification of rectal carcinoma. In the aspect of intestinal wall invasion and the lymph node, protruding type is less severe than ulcerative type and invasive type.

OBJECTIVE To explore the feasibility of transnasal endoscopic surgery to treatment of intraorbital space occupying by ethmoidal-lamina papy-racea approach. METHODS The clinical data of 10 cases who underwent intraorbital surgery via transnasal endoscopic ethmoidal-lamina papyracea approach from June 2003 and Aug. 2006 were retrospectively studied. The patients included foreign body 1 case, cavernous hemangioma 2 case, lipoma 2 cases, inflammatory pseudotumor 2cases and hematoma 3cases. All intraorbital space occupying were operated by transnasal endoscopic ethmoidal-lamina papyracea approach but for one cavernous hemangioma which was dealt with through extra orbitectomy. The inflammatory pseudotumors were prescribed with glucocorticoid after operation.RESULTS Foreign body was removed successfully. One case of cavernous haemangioma was removed completely by transnasal endoscopic surgery and the other by extroorbital operation. All symptoms of proptosis and diplopia disappeared. One vision was enhanced from hand moving to 0.3 and another from light to hand moving. However, there was one hematoma which had been hindered about 14 days after damaged lost eyesight after operation. All cases were cured but one pseudotumor which recurred and was operated again. All cases were followed up 3 to 24 months. CONCLUSION Intraorbital surgery via transnasal endoscopic ethmoidal-lamina papyracea approach was available and feasible for the advantages of clear operation field, direct vision operation, less damage, rapid recovery and avoiding of facial scar, and intranasal endoscopic surgery can treat the rhino-orbital related diseases and nasal diseases at the same time.

OBJECTIVETo investigate the therapeutic effects of Qingre Quyu Granule (QQG) on the patients with severe carotid stenosis, and to explore the mechanism of it.
METHODSNinety-six patients with severe carotid stenosis were enrolled in the study and were classified into a QQG group (n=48) and a control group (n=48) randomly using consecutively numbered envelopes. The patients in the QQG group were given QQG and Western medicine, those in the control group were given Western medicine merely, the course of treatment was 16 weeks. All patients went through endarterectomy after treatment. Plaques were subjected to the analysis of CD3, CD68, soluble intercellular adhesion molecule 1 (ICAM-1), matrix metalloprotease-9 (MMP-9), CD40L, tenascin-C, and collagen content lipid content by immunohistochemistry or polarized light analysis.
RESULTSBy the end of experiment, the expressions of CD3, CD68, ICAM-1, MMP9, CD40L and tenascin-C on the plaques were statistically significant lower in the QQG group compared with the control group(P<0.01). The lipid content of the plaque was also significantly lower in the QQG group compared with the control group (P<0.01). The interstitial collagen in the tissue sections of the plaques was also significantly higher in the QQG group in comparison with the control group (P<0.01).
CONCLUSIONQQG could stabilize carotid artery plaques through inhibiting pro-inflammation factors and restraining the tenascin-C and MMP9 pathway.

Acta Pharmaceutica Sinica 2006;41(11):1044-1049
AIMTo investigate the effects of cyclosporin A (CsA) on growth and collagen synthesis of cardiac fibroblasts (CFs) induced by arginine vasopressin (AVP).
METHODSCFs of neonatal Sprague-Dawley rats were isolated by trypsinization and cultured; growth-arrested CFs were stimulated with 1 x 10(-7) mol x L(-1) AVP in the presence or absence of CsA (0.05, 0.5 and 5 micromol x L(-1)). MTT and flow cytometry techniques were adopted to measure cell number and analyze cell cycle respectively. Collagen synthesis was determined by measurement of hydroxyproline content in culture supernatant with colorimetry. Calcineurin activity was estimated by chemiluminescence. Trypan blue staining to test the viability of CFs.
RESULTS0.05, 0.5 and 5 micromol x L(-1) CsA inhibited the increase of CFs number induced by 1 x 10(-7) mol x L(-1) AVP in a dose-dependent manner, with the inhibitory rates by 12%, 24% and 29%, respectively (P < 0.05). Furthermore, cell cycle analysis showed 0.5 micromol x L(-1) CsA decreased the S stage percentage and proliferation index of CFs stimulated by AVP (P < 0.05). In culture medium, the hydroxyproline content induced by AVP decreased by 0.5 and 5 micromol x L(-1) CsA (P < 0.05), with the inhibitory rates of 29% and 33%, respectively. CsA completely inhibited the increment of calcineurin activity induced by AVP (P < 0.01), but CsA itself had no effect on the baseline of calcineurin activity and CFs viability.
CONCLUSIONCsA inhibits proliferation and collagen synthesis of CFs by virtue of blocking calcineurin signaling pathway and might provide a novel target for prevention and treatment to cardiac fibrosis.

Objective To investigate the effects of N -acetylcystein ( NAC) on the cardiac hypertrophy in pressure -overload rats and the relationship with the expression of inflammatory cytokines. Methods The SD rats were randomly divided into four groups:sham group, model group , drug group in sham and drug group in model.Pressure-overload rat model was established by abdominal aortic coarctation.Rats in drug group were treated with NAC ( 0.2 g? kg-1? d -1 , ig ) for 8 weeks. Cardiac hypertrophy was evaluated by heart histological analysis and echocardiography. The collagen content was determined by chromatome-try.RT-PCR and ELISA were used to determine the expression of in-flammatory cytokines. The production of reactive oxygen species ( ROS) were measured by Fenton reaction. Results Compared with sham rats, blood pressure, left ventricular weight index( LVWI) , myocyte diameter, left ventricular wall thick(LVWT) as well as the collagen content( CC) in model rats significantly elevated ( P <0.05 ) .In model rats treated with NAC, LVWI, LVWT and CC were significantly decreased as well as the production of ROS ( P <0.05 ) . Furthermore, the expression of interleukin-6(IL-6)and tumor necrosis factor-α(TNF-α)but IL-10 was elevated in myocardium of pressure-o-verload rats, which was inhibited by NAC( P<0.05).NAC had no effects on the expression of IL-10.Conclusion NAC could improve the cardiac hypertrophy induced by pressure-overload.The effects of NAC probably relates to the decrease of pro-inflammatory cytokines expression in rat myocardium.
