BACKGROUND:Stimulation of the pudendal nerve as a target can improve neurogenic bladder dysfunction after spinal cord injury, by adjusting the frequency, intensity, pulse width, as wel as regulating synergistic effect of detrusor and urethral sphincter. OBJECTIVE: To assess the research status of electrical stimulation of the pudendal nerve in the treatment of neurogenic bladder dysfunction after spinal cord injury. METHODS: We searched the folowing databases for articles addressing electrical stimulation of the pudendal nerve for neurogenic bladder dysfunction after spinal cord injury: PubMed, Cochrane Central Register of Controled Trials (CENTRAL), China National Knowledge Infrastructure, Wanfang Database, and VIP Database. The search was updated to July 2014, and the reference lists of the identified studies were manualy screened for additional studies. The study selection and data extraction were independently conducted by two reviewers. RESULTS AND CONCLUSION:Fourteen studies were included in this review. We derived the folowing points by analyzing the included studies: Electrical stimulation of the pudendal nerve has positive effects on rehabilitation of neurogenic bladder dysfunction after spinal cord injury; pudendal nerve electrical stimulation can modulate the coordination of the detrusor and the external urethral sphincter, improve the bladder compliance and restore bladder function by regulating pudendal-to-bladder reflex and spinal reflexes to the bladder. Electrical stimulation of the pudendal nerve may be potentialy implemented as a feasible treatment of neurogenic bladder dysfunction after spinal cord injury. More high quality researches should be conducted to clarify the efficacy and the potential active mechanisms of pudendal nerve electrical stimulation for neurogenic bladder dysfunction after spinal cord injury because the number of clinical reports published in this study area is limited, neurophysiological mechanisms underlying biphasic regulation of frequency on bladder function are not wel known, and which intensity of pudendal nerve electrical stimulation is more effective than others for the treatment of neurogenic bladder dysfunction after spinal cord injury remains unknown.

BACKGROUND: Echinococcosis alveolaris were not easily discovered in prophasel Although used various kinds of imaging and immunity test, misdiagnosis rate of echinococcosis alveolaris was still high.OBJECTIVE: To study radioimmunoimaging of ~(131)Ⅰ-labelled anti-alveolar hydatid polyclonal antibody in the rat model with Echinococcus multilocularis in vivo.METHODS: Totally 36 Wistar rats were randomly divided into 3 groups. A group included 12 alveolar echinococcosis rats, B group included 12 normal rats, C group included 12 alveolar echinococcosis rats. Rats in the A and B group were injected intrapedtoneally 1 mL ~(131)Ⅰ-labelled anti-alveolar echinococcosis polyclonal antibodies (37 MBq), those in the C group were injected intraperitoneally I mL ~(131)Ⅰ-(37 MBq). All rats were imaged 24, 48, 72, 96 hours later with ECT to measure region of interest (ROI) of alveolar hydatid. The unit weight radioactive counts per minute of three group rats organs were measured after 96 hours, and the targetto-nontarget (TINT) ratios were calculated in A group rats.RESULTS AND CONCLUSION: In A group rat inoculated right lobe of liver alveolar echinococcosis, radioactive parts of the distribution could be seen. And ROI of alveolar echinococcosis were the highest at 72 hours. After dissection the locations were in line, and it was no significant radioactive liver distdbution in B and C group. Rats were sacrified after 96 hours, in vitro determination of radioactive counts show that A group echinococcus multilocularis was (18.610±3.401)x10~3 cpm/g, which was greater than organs except thyroid and gastric tissues (P < 0.001). The rest of organize T/NT ratios were greater than 1.28 apart from the thyroid and gastric tissues. The difference of unit weight radioactive counts per minute of three group had no obviously significance except the polypide tissues (P > 0.05). This proves that ~(131)Ⅰ-1abelled anti-alveolar echinococcosis polyclonal antibodY successfully combinated with alveolar echinococcosis.

This study established a population pharmacokinetics-pharmacodynamics model of clopidogrel in patients with acute coronary syndrome. Fifty-nine patients were enrolled. The plasma concentration of clopidogrel active metabolite and vasodilator stimulated phosphoprotein platelet reactivity index (VASP-PRI) were selected as the pharmacokinetics index and the pharmacodynamics index, respectively. The covariates including demographic characteristics, laboratory indexes, combined medication, complications and genetic polymorphisms of related enzymes were screened for their influence on the pharmacokinetic and pharmacodynamics parameters. Population pharmacokinetic and pharmacodynamics data analysis was performed using NONMEM software. The general linear model and the indirectly effect model-turnover model for pharmacokinetic and pharmacodynamic analysis were selected as the basic model, respectively. The population typical values of K12, CL/F, V/F, EC50, K(in), and E(max) were 0.259 h(-1), 179 L x h(-1), 632 L, 1.57 ng x mL(-1), 4.29 and 0.664, respectively. CYP2C19 was the covariate in the final pharmacokinetic model, and the model was to design a prior dosage regimen.

Objective To evaluate the effectiveness of mirror therapy in treating the upper limbs of patients with stroke. Methods The PUBMED,MEDLINE,EMbase,Cochrane Central Register of Controlled Trials (CENTRAL),ISI Web of Knowledge,OVID,CNKI,VIP and Wanfang Data databases were searched for reports of randomized controlled trials (RCTs) of mirror therapy in the treatment of the upper limbs of patients with stroke from the date of establishment of each database to April 2012.The bibliographies of the studies retrieved were also searched. Two independent researchers evaluated the included studies using the risk of bias provided by Cochrane Library. The extracted data were analyzed using RevMan 5.1 software and version 3.6 of the GRAED profiler. Results Reports of 9 trials were discovered.Meta-analysis showed that compared to the group that didn't have visual feedback, mirror therapy did not significantly increase Fugl-Meyer assessment (FMA) (Upper Limb) scores after 4 weeks of treatment compared with groups that did not have visual feedback.Mirror therapy also did not significantly increase average scores on the action research arm test (ARAT) after 6 weeks of treatment.Mirror therapy did, however, increase average Brunnstrom stage scores for the hand after 4 weeks of treatment and at a 6-month follow-up.Mirror therapy did not increase average scores on the modified Ashworth scale (MAS) after 4 weeks of treatment, but increased MAS scores were observed at a 6-month follow-up compared with a group which had no visual feedback.Mirror therapy increased functional independence measure (FIM) self-care scores after 4 weeks of treatment and at a 6-month follow-up,and it also increased modified Barthel index (MBI) scores after 4 weeks of treatment. In the GRADE system, the scores of Brunnstrom stages for the hand after 4 weeks of treatment were of moderate quality, but those scores and the MAS scores at the 6-month follow-up were of low quality. The FIM selfcare scores after 4 weeks and at the 6-month follow-up and the MBI scores measured after 4 weeks were of very low quality. Conclusion This evidence shows that mirror therapy can improve upper limb function and quality of daily life to some extent after stroke. However, because of the limitations of the previous studies such as poor quality, different end points, different rating scales and different courses of stroke, more high-quality,randomized,controlled trials with larger samples are needed to evaluate the effectiveness of mirror therapy in the rehabilitation of upper limb function after stroke.

OBJECTIVETo study the effect of short haipin RNA (shRNA) on expression of vascular endothelial growth factor C (VEGF-C) and proliferation and invasion behavior of human breast cancer cell MCF-7.
METHODSThe recombinant vector (pSIREN-VEGF-C) was transfected into the human breast cancer cell MCF-7 by liposome and the positive transfected cell clones were screened with puromycin. Expression of VEGF-C in MCF-7 cells after gene transfer was detected by real-time quantitative PCR and Western blot assay, respectively. Proliferation and invasion ability of transfected cells were analyzed by MTT and Transwell filter.
RESULTSThe expressions of VEGF-C mRNA and protein were decreased markedly compared with the control group after the transfection and the inhibitive ratio was 95% and 100% respectively (P<0.05). The proliferation of MCF-7 cells transfected by pSIREN-VEGF-C, measured with MTT assays, was significantly decended (P<0.05). The invasion ability of passing through the Transwell filter of MCF-7 cells transfected by pSIREN-VEGF-C were declined evidently (P<0.05).
CONCLUSIONThe recombinant vector (pSIREN-VEGF-C) have been proved not only to be effective and specific for down-regulation of VEGF-C, but also can inhibit the proliferation and invasion of MCF-7 cells significantly.

AIMSome surfactants such as DSPE-PEG, Tween 80 and Brij 35 were used to modify the amphotericin B liposome, improve the stability, optimize the tissue distribution and decrease the toxicity of amphotericin B liposome.
METHODSThe amphotericin B liposome was prepared by the film-supersound method. The effects of cholesterol and amphotericin B on the encapsulation percentage were studied. The diameter, leakage percentage in phosphate buffer solution(PBS) and calf blood serum, and tissue distributions of amphotericin B liposome in the rat were determined.
RESULTSThe top encapsulation percentage of amphotericin B liposome is (91.2 +/- 1.6)%. After modification with DSPE-PEG, Tween 80 and Brij 35, the encapsulation percentages were improved, the average diameters were decreased and the stabilities were improved, the amphotericin B concentrations in the liver, spleen and kidney were decreased, and the amphotericin B concentrations in the brain were increased, especially in the AmB-L-Tween 80 group.
CONCLUSIONDSPE-PEG and Brij 35 could decrease the clearing of reticuroendothelial systems(RES) to the amphotericin B liposome and Tween 80 could facilitate the transporting of amphotericin B liposome into the brain.

OBJECTIVETo explore the correlation between syndrome types of late-onset acne female patients and constitutions of Chinese medicine (CM).
METHODSA questionnaire was performed in 365 late-onset acne female patients and 135 healthy subjects (as the control) using Professor WANG Qi's. methods and Standards for Chinese Medical Constitutions Classification.
RESULTSTheir CM constitutions were sequenced as damp-heat constitution, yin-deficiency constitution, balanced constitution, yang-deficiency constitution, blood-stasis constitution, qi-stagnation constitution, qi-deficiency constitution, phlegm-damp constitution, inherited special constitution, with statistical difference when compared with those of the control group ( χ2 = 85.206, P < 0.01). In the 365 female late-onset acne patients, 114 (31.23%) were with Chongren imbalance syndrome, 108 (29.59%) were with blood stasis or coagulated phlegm syndrome, 83 (22.74%) were with dampness heat syndrome, and 60 (16.44%) were with wind heat syndrome. There was statistical difference in CM constitution distributions among different CM syndrome types (χ2 = 105.671, P < 0.01). The distribution of CM medical constitutions was different between the two groups. Biased constitutions were often seen in the patient group, while balanced constitution was often seen in the control group. Binary Logistic regression analysis indicated that influencing factors covered sweet food, light diet, roasted food, coffee, stress, work pressure, and family pressure. Of them light diet was one protective factor, while the rest were adverse factors.
CONCLUSIONThe etiology and syndrome types of female late-onset acne female patients were associated with CM constitution.
