To analyze the regularity in combined medication with Xiyanping injection (Xiyanping for short) in the real world by as- sociation rules. Totally 5 822 patients using Xiyanping injection was collected from the 18 Class III Grade I hospitals nationwide to study the combined medication information of the patient with lung infection and make the analysis by using association rules and Apriori. According to the results, major drugs combined with Xiyanping in treatment of lung infection included compound amino acid, inosine, coenzyme A, cytidine triphosphate, vitamin C. Common drugs combined with Xiyanping can be divided into 5 categories: nutrition support therapy (vitamin C, compound amino acid) , coenzymes (coenzyme A, cytidine triphosphate, inosine), expectorants and antiasthmatics (ambroxol, salbutamol, doxofylline), hormones (dexamethasone, budesonide), antibiotics (mainly cefminox). The main combined medicines mostly conformed to the regularity for drugs treating lung infection. In addition, there were two most common medical combination models: the model for Xiyanping combined a single medicine is Xiyanping + nutrition support therapy, while the model for Xiyanping combined two or more than two medicines is Xiyanping + nutrition support therapy + coenzyme. Pharmacologically, Xiyanping is mostly combined with western medicines with similar pharmacological effects to substitute or supplement the antibiotic effect in treating lung infection. However, further studies shall be conducted for the safety and rationality of the combined medication based on clinical practices, in order to provide reference for clinical medication.

Aim To investigate the effect of ketamine plus fluoxetine on depressed behavior and the expres-sion of neuronal nitric oxide synthase (nNOS)and CA-PON in prefrontal lobe of mentally depressed rats at different time points,so as to study the possible mecha-nism of ketamine plus fluoxetine inducing antidepres-sant behavior. Methods Healthy adult male Sprague-Dawley rats, aged 2.5 ~3 months, weighing 220 ~270 g,were induced as the rodent model of depression by chronic unpredictable mild stress (CUMS).After the models of depression were established,96 of CUMS modeling successfully depressed rats were selected. Then they were randomly divided into four groups (n =24 each):the depressed group (group D,untreated group),ketamine group (group K,treated with intrap-eritoneal injection of ketamine 1 0 mg·kg -1 once a day for 3 days or 7 days),fluoxetine group (group F,trea-ted with gavage of fluoxetine 1 .8 mg·kg -1 once a day for 3 days or 7 days),or ketamine plus fluoxetine group (group KF,treated with intraperitoneal injection of ketamine 1 0 mg·kg -1 plus gavage of fluoxetine 1 .8 mg·kg -1 once a day for 3 days or 7 days).Open field test and sucrose preference test were performed 1 day before depression model was established, and 1 day before and after treatment. The rats were sacrificed 1 day after the last test for determination of the expres-sion of nNOS and CAPON protein (using immuno-his-tochemisity)and mRNA (by RT-PCR)in the prefron-tal lobe. Results After the models of depression were established, the total distance, rearing number and the sucrose preference percentage (SPP)were decreased significantly compared with those before (P <0.05). There was no significant difference among all groups in the total distance, rearing number and the SPP before treatment (P >0.05 ).Compared with groups D and F,the total distance was prolonged, the number of rea-ring and SPP were significantly increased, the expres-sion of nNOS protein and mRNA was down-regulated and the expression of CAPON protein and mRNA was up-regulated in groups K and KF,with 3 days’treat-ment (P <0.05).Compared with group D,the total distance was prolonged, the number of rearing and SPP were significantly increased, the expression of nNOS protein and mRNA was down-regulated and the expres-sion of CAPON protein and mRNA was up-regulated in groups K,F and KF with 7 days’treatment (P <0.05).Compared with group F,the total distance was prolonged, the number of rearing and SPP were signifi-cantly increased, the expression of nNOS protein and mRNA was down-regulated and the expression of CA-PON protein and mRNA was up-regulated in group KF with 7 days’treatment (P <0.05).Conclusion Co-administration of antidepressant fluoxetine with ket-amine may induce a more pronounced antidepressant activity than treatment with each antidepressant alone and it can shorten the time to improve the depressive state through promoting the expression of CAPON and inhibiting nNOS activity in the prefrontal lobe of men-tally depressed rats.

It is now thought that atherosclerosis, although due to enhanced lipid deposition,is mainly the result of a series inflammatory process.Total saponins of Aralia elata (Miq)Seem(TASAES)from the Chinese traditional herb Longya Araliachinensis L.,a folk medicine used for treating various diseases, increasing energy and improving the body′s ability to prevent hypoxia in Asian countries has attracted widespread attention. However, the ability of TASAES on inflammation-triggered vascular endothelial cell injury, a key early event in the pathogenesis of atherosclerosis, and its potential mechanisms of this protection have never been demonstrated. The present study determined the anti-inflammatory and anti-apoptoticactivities and protective mechanisms of the total aralosides of Araliaelata(Miq)Seem (TASAES) ameliorate tumor necrosis factor-α (TNF-α)-induced human umbilical vein endothelial cells (HUVECs) injury. Our results indicate that TASAES pretreatment provided cytoprotective effects by suppressing TNF-α-induced HUVECs apoptosis, mitochondrial membrane depolarization, caspase-3 activation, and modulation of inflammatory factors (IL-6, MCP-1 and VCAM-1), meanwhile inhibiting NF- κB transcription. Furthermore, the effect was correlated with the activation of the PI3K/Akt signal pathway. Blocking Akt activation with the PI3K inhibitor LY294002 effectively reversed the protective effect of TASAES against TNF-α-induced cell apoptosis. Moreover, the PI3K inhibitor partially blocked the effects of TASAES on the increasing of Bcl-2 and Bcl-xl protein expression, and inactivation of Bax protein expression. In conclusion, the results showed that TASAES decreased the inflammation and apoptosis of HUVECs caused by TNF-α treatment, and PI3K played a crucial role in enhancing cell sur-vival during this process.
