1.The general public’s ability to operate automated external defibrillator: A controlled simulation study
World Journal of Emergency Medicine 2020;11(4):238-245
BACKGROUND: Automated external defibrillators (AEDs) enable laypeople to provide early defibrillations to patients undergoing cardiac arrest, but scant information is available on the general public’s ability to use AEDs. This study assessed the ability of laypeople to operate AEDs, the effect of a 15-minute training, and whether skills differed by age.
METHODS: From May 1 to December 31, 2018, a prospective simulation study was conducted with 94 laypeople aged 18-65 years (32 aged 18-24 years, 34 aged 25-54 years, and 28 aged 55-65 years) with no prior AED training. The participants’ AED skills were assessed individually pre-training, post-training, and at a three-month follow-up using a simulated cardiac arrest scenario. The critical actions and time intervals were evaluated during the AED operating process.
RESULTS: Only 14 (14.9%) participants (eight aged 18-24 years, four aged 25-54 years, and two aged 55-65 years) successfully delivered defibrillations before training. AED operation errors were more likely to occur among the participants aged 55-65 years than among other age groups. After training, the proportion of successful defibrillations increased significantly (18-24 years old: 25.0% vs. 71.9%, P<0.01; 25-54 years old: 11.8% vs. 70.6%, P<0.01; 55-65 years old: 7.1% vs. 67.9%, P<0.01). After three months, 26.1% of the participants aged 55-65 years successfully delivered defibrillations, which was significantly lower than that of participants aged 18-24 years (54.8%) and 25-54 years (64.3%) (P=0.02). There were no differences in time measures among three age groups in each test.
CONCLUSIONS: The majority of untrained laypeople cannot effectively operate AEDs. More frequent training and refresher courses are crucial to improve AED skills.
3.Optimization of the extraction process for AWei capsule by orthogonal experiment
China Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine and Pharmacy 2005;0(11):-
Objective:To study the extraction process of AWei capsule. Methods:Taking the contents of gallic acid and the yield of extracts as assessment index to optimize water extraction process of AWei capsule with orthogonal experimental design.Taking the contents of magnolol, honokiol and the yield of extracts as assessment index to optimize ethanol extraction process of AWei capsule with orthogonal experimental design. Results:The optimal water extraction process of AWei capsule was extracting twice, every time lasted 1.5h,every time added 14 times water. The optimal ethanol extraction process of AWei capsule was using 80%ethanol as solvent, extracting twice, every time lasted 1.5h,every time added 6 times solvent. Conclusion:The optimized extraction process is stable and reasonable.
4.Hospitalized patients with infertility continuity care needs investigation and analysis
Modern Clinical Nursing 2017;16(1):56-60
Objective Understand the hospital surgical treatment of female infertility patients after discharge health needs,to provide evidence for continuity of the corresponding nursing measures. Methods After surgical treatment of hospital preparation of hospital,100 cases of infertility patients designed questionnaire,to understand the patient's health requirements. Results About 94% of patients had continuity care needs,The need for continuity care content in the top three:observation, the knowledge of the disease, mental health counseling.Continuity of care means demand is in the top three:We Chat public information push, add patients group of exchange of experience and telephone follow-up on a regular basis. Conclusion the hospitalized patients with infertility of the continuity of care after discharge and demand is high, enhancing health education for patients after discharge, the continuity of the individualized modern nursing measures, improve the patients discharged from hospital after conception rate and quality of life.
5.Study on Role of Non-coding RNA in Barrett's Esophagus
Chinese Journal of Gastroenterology 2017;22(7):429-431
Non-coding RNA (ncRNA) is a class of RNA not coding the protein and plays a significant role in the process of growth and development of diseases.Barrett''s esophagus (BE) is considered as the precancerous lesion of esophageal adenocarcinoma.Several studies showed that ncRNA has the potential value in diagnosis, treatment and designing of targeting drugs. This article reviewed the role of ncRNA, especially microRNA, long non-coding RNA and circular RNA in the development and carcinogenic process of BE.

Objective To explore the influence of psychological first aid training on cognitive appraisal of sudden events in medical students. Methods A medical university undergraduate students were selected and divided into the training group(n=42) and the control group(n=53).The former was treated with 20 hours short-term targeted psychological first aid,and the latter was treated as blank control. The SAM and LMSQ were adopted to measure students' cognitive appraisal before and after the training. Results After the training, the training group gained significant differences (P< 0.05) in threat (11.95 ±3.17) vs (10.45±2.48)(t=2.426,P=0.020),challenge (12.64t2.84) vs (14.40±1.95)(t=-3.304,P=0.002),controllable-by-self (13.05±3.15) vs (14.93±2.00) (t=-3.240,P=0.002),controllable-by-others (12.40±3.10) vs (14.52±2.52) (t=-3.553,P=0.001),stressfulness (13.26±2.69) vs (12.00±1.96) (t=2.592,P=0.013) of SAM,and Physical threat ((23.88±7.59) vs (19.76±4.82),t=3.057,P=0.004) of LMSQ compared with before training.Other factors had no significant difference(P>0.05).Compared with two groups, the training group gained significant increase(P<0.05) on the score differences for SAM factors (challenge (t=-2.466,P=0.016),controllable-by-self (t=-2.557,P=0.012),controllable-by-others (t=-2.800,P=0.006)) than the control group, and significant reduction (P<0.05) in physical threat (t=-2.308,P=0.023) of LMSQ.Conclusion Short-term targeted psychological first aid training has certain effects on changing cognitive appraisal about sudden events for medical students.

Objective To explore the value of urinary albumin/creatinine ratio (ACR) in coronary heart disease(CHD) compli-cating thyroid dysfunction and its correlation with the various detection indicators of thyroid function. Methods The results of uri-nary ACR and thyroid function detection in 863 patients with CHD in our hospital from November 2015 to August 2016 were col-lected.According to the standards of American National Kidney Foundation (NKF) and Food and Drug Administration(FDA) ,863 CHD patients were divided into the group A (ACR≤10.0 mg/g · Cr) ,B(10.0 mg/g · Cr< ACR≤30.0 mg/g · Cr) ,C (30.0 mg/g · Cr

10.Encephalopathy therapeutic tongue acupoint apparatus (ETTAA) for 42 cases of autism.
Chinese Acupuncture & Moxibustion 2014;34(1):96-98
OBJECTIVETo observe the efficacy of encephalopathy therapeutic tongue acupoint apparatus (ETTAA) in the treatment of autism.
METHODSEighty-four children of autism were randomly divided into a tongue acupuncture group (group A) and a conventional training group (group B), 42 cases in each group. The behavior training and sensory integration training were carried out in group B and the ETTAA was added in group A. The apparatus was switched on for 20 min every time and 3 times a day. Treatment of two months were carried out in both groups. The score of childhood autism rating scale (CARS) and clinical efficacy in both groups were observed before and after treatment.
RESULTSAfter treatment, the CARS in both groups were significantly reduced (42.39 +/- 6.86 vs 32.15 +/- 5.12, P < 0.001; 44.58 +/- 6.76 vs 39.72 +/- 7.11, P < 0.05), which was more significant in group A (P < 0.01). The totally effective rate in group A [90.5% (38/42)] was superior to that in group B [66.7% (28/42), P < 0.01].
CONCLUSIONThe clinical efficacy in tongue acupuncture group is apparently superior to that in conventional training group, ETTAA combined with conventional training have a better curative effect in the treatment of autism.
