2.Clinical efficacy of autologous fat grafting with platelet-rich plasma for facial rejuvenation
Chinese Journal of Medical Aesthetics and Cosmetology 2016;22(2):78-80
Objective This single-center prospective,case-controlled study was carried out to investigate clinical effects on patients with aging face who underwent facial autologous fat grafting with platelet-rich plasma (PRP).Methods Thirty patients with facial sagging or partial depression and requiring autologous fat grafting were randomly selected for the study.Photograph and 3D scanning were taken before and 3-month after the operation.Patient and physician satisfaction was rated using Visual Analogue Scale (VAS) ranging from 1 (most unsatisfactory) to 10 (most satisfactory)3 months after the operation.Statistical difference between the patient and physician satisfactory scores was analyzed. Results The average physician VAS score was 7.9 ± 1.0 while the average patient VAS score was 8.0±1.2.The scores between two groups had no significant difference (P> 0.05).Four patients developed bruising and swelling postoperatively that disappeared less than 7 days later. There was no feed back of serious complications from patients.Further investigation of patients with scores less than 7 showed the main reason of low patient satisfaction was that the improvement of facial depression did not meet the requirements of the patient, and fat absorption led to unsatisfactory filling. Conclusions The high satisfactory scores indicate good aesthetic result of facial autologous fat grafting with PRP.PRP may lead to higer survival rate of fat and satisfaction.

Chinese Journal of Pathophysiology 2017;33(1):92-97
AIM:To observe the effects of edaravone on high glucose-induced apoptosis of SH-SY5Y cells and its potential mechanism .METHODS:The SH-SY5Y cells were cultured in the DMEM medium with 100 mmol/L glucose and 100μmol/L edaravone for 24 h.The viability of the SH-SY5Y cells was detected by MTT assay .The levels of ROS in the cells were determined by DCFH-DA fluorescent probing .The apoptotic rates of the cells were analyzed by flow cytome-try.The protein expression of Bax and Bcl-2 in the cells were detected by Western blot .The expression levels of micro-RNA-25 (miR-25) were determined by real-time PCR.To further clarify the target sites of edaravone on inhibiting apopto-sis induced by high glucose , miR-25 inhibitor was applied to the SH-SY5Y cells and the activity of caspase-3 was meas-ured.RESULTS:Compared with control group , the cell viability was decreased significantly in model group , and the ROS level was increased significantly .The protein expression of Bax was up-regulated significantly , while the expression levels of Bcl-2 and miR-25 were significantly down-regulated .Compared with model group , the cell viability was increased signifi-cantly in edaravone group .The ROS level was decreased significantly .Meanwhile, the expression of Bax was down-regula-ted, while the expression of Bcl-2 and miR-25 was up-regulated with statistical significance .The caspase-3 activity of the cells incubated with 100 mmol/L glucose and miR-25 inhibitor was increased .However, no alteration of caspase-3 activity with edaravone added simultaneously was observed .CONCLUSION: Edaravone inhibits the apoptosis of SH-SY5Y cells induced by high glucose with the potential target site of miR-25.
4.Effects of Stimulation of Wind, Cold and Dampness on Metabolism of Oxygen Free Radical and Prostaglandin in Cervical Muscle and Blood in Rabbits
Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine 1992;0(08):-
In order to probe into effect of stimulation of wind, cold and Sdampness to the cervical part on oxygen free radical and prostaglandins, 24 rabbits were randomly assigned to control group and wind - cold - Sdampness group, head - lowering group and combined model group, 6 rabbits in each group, and changes of superoxide dismutase (SOD),lipid hyperoxide (LPO), prostanglandin E2 (PGE2), 6 -keto -PGF1a in affected local region and blood were observed. Results indicated that the commonly - seen pathogenetic factors of cervical spondylopathy such as wind, cold , dampness and lowering head might cause aspetic inflammation of the cervical part and abnormality of SOD, LPO, PGE2 and 6 - keto - PGF1a in affected local tissue and blood, and abnormal metabolism of oxygen free radical and prostagnadins might be one of important mechanisms of cervical spondylopathy induced by wind, cold and dampness.
5.Application of nutritional screening tools in pediatrics
International Journal of Pediatrics 2015;(4):431-433,438
Malnutrition has traditionally been regarded as a global concern, especially in the developing countries. Malnutrition seems more prevalent in hospitalized patients, with potentially serious consequences, it may increase susceptibility to infection and mortality and lengthen the stays in hospital, which lead to additional health care costs. Along with the development of the screening tools,it plays an increasingly important role in the nutritional problems in adults. Recently several nutritional screening tools have been applied in pediatrics, but the lack of the universal acceptable tools is still a problem demanding prompt solution. This review aims to compare the nutritional screening tools that are currently available in clinic and their drawbacks in daily work.
6.Application of bioelectrical impedance technique in constructing physiological parameters-related models of sports human
Chinese Journal of Tissue Engineering Research 2007;0(26):-
Bioelectrical impedance technique is a non-invasive method used to acquire human biomedical data from electric property and its changes of tissues and organs. This paper introduced the principle and research methods of bioelectrical impedance technique, reviewed the application of bioelectrical impedance technique and analyzed the feasibility of bioelectrical impedance technique applied in sports science. Studies suggest that in measurement of body composition, blood and hemodynamics, the application of bioelectrical impedance technique can be used for reference in sports science; Electric impedance tomography enables non-invasive, real-time and dynamic monitoring of structures and functions of human organ and tissue under sports. The appreciable strategy for bioelectrical impedance technique application in sports science is to establish reliable and steady correlative models or regressive equations between bioelectrical impedance and physiological parameters of sports human for further study using statistical principles.

OBJECTIVETo study the ischemic times of the main artery injury in the limbs and the influence on the limbs survival rate, and to analyze the reasons for the formation of the ischemia time.
METHODSFrom June 1996 to November 2012, 83 patients with completely severed limb main artery treated in our hospital were retrospectively studied. There were 77 males and 6 females, including 81 adults (ranging in age from 16 to 52 years old, with a median age of 35 years old) and 2 children (4 and 5 years old respectively). Seventy-five patients were treated with end to end anastomosis, 7 patients were treated with great saphenous vein transplantation, and 1 patient was treated with artificial blood vessel transplantation. The prior to admission ischemia time, after admission ischemia time and total ischemia time for successful and unsuccessful patients, as well as the causes of the formation of the ischemia time were studied. Limb survival rate of different ischemic time was counted. Sharpness injury or blunt injury ischemia time and amputation rate were researched statistically. All data were analyzed using SPSS statistical software.
RESULTSThere were 72 limbs survived, 11 amputated. The average ischemia time was (7.45±5.94) h for limb-salvage group and (13.73±14.00) h for amputation group. Prior to admission ischemia time between amputation and limb-salvage group had no significant difference. After admission the ischemia time in amputation group was longer than limb-salvage group. The amputation rate for ischemia time 21 to 44 h group was higher than other three groups (≤ 5 h, 6 to 10 h, 11 to 20 h) (P=0.023, 0.038, 0.044). Amputation reasons can be divided into anastomosis failure in the operation, vascular thrombosis 2 to 4 days after operation and late infection.
CONCLUSIONVascular injury limbs can tolerate longer ischemia time and the limb salvage succeed. Only too long ischemia time (> 20 h), limb amputation rate increases significantly. The main cause of long time ischemia is delayed diagnosis in the hospital. Whether limb-salvage success mainly depends on the degree of trauma and the quality of the anastomosis than ischemia time.

China Journal of Orthopaedics and Traumatology 2014;27(3):199-202
OBJECTIVETo study the influence of actual defect length and gap width of the limbs main artery on the method selection of repairing and reconstruction.
METHODSRetrospective study was carried out for 32 patients with extremity main artery injury from 1996 to 2009, including 30 males and 2 females; 30 adults with an average age of 36 years old ranging from 18 to 51 years, 2 children of 4 and 5 years old respectively. Injured body parts involved axillary artery in 4 cases, brachial artery in 7 cases, radial artery in 2 cases, femoral artery in 4 cases, popliteal artery in 13 cases, posterior tibial artery in 2 cases. Main arterial injury defect gap width of all cases were observed and the reasons were analyzed. All cases were repaired by the method of end to end anastomosis after vessels stretch.
RESULTSThe artery defect width was 3 cm to 7 cm with an average of (4.375 +/- 1.200) cm. Defect width of the upper extremity brachial artery and axillary artery group was (5.73 +/- 0.63) cm,the lower extremity femoral and popliteal artery group (3.80 +/- 0.73) cm, the posterior tibial artery group (3.25 +/- 0.35) cm, the radial artery group (3.00 +/- 0.00) cm. Defect width of upper extremity brachial artery and axillary artery group was larger than that of the other three groups (P < 0.01). End to end anastomosis was performed successfully in all cases. Blood supply recovered well. Because of the severe limb infection 2 patients had amputation in the late. All patients received follow-up. The patients without fracture were followed up to 2 weeks postoperatively, all patients with fractures were followed up to 1 year at least. Limb blood supply was good in all patients during the follow-up.
CONCLUSIONBlood vessel defect gap width is different from the actual vessel defect, but is larger than the actual vessel defect. Misjudgment of the vascular defect length will lead to more vascular transplantation. The vast majority of vascular defect can be directly repaired by the method of end to end anastomosis after the vessel free and stretch.
