Journal of Chinese Physician 2001;0(03):-
Objective To explore the clinical significance of FPSA/PSA ratio in the differential diagnosis of prostate carcinoma(Pca) and benign prostate hyperplasia (BPH). Methods The concentrations of FPSA and PSA in 52 patients with Pca or BPH were analysed retrospectively to calculate FPSA/PSA ratio. Results FPSA/PSA ratio between the Pca and BPH was markedly different (t=4 01,P

Medical imaging teaching depends on support from multimedia database which is constructed with image information provided by PACS/HIS ( Picture archiving and communication system/Hospital information system ).This paper evaluated construction, administration and application of the multimedia database, and illustrated the importance of PACS/HIS in construction of the database,as well as of the database in medical imaging teaching.

Myasthenia gravis (MG) is an immune-mediated disorder of the neuromuscular junction that is characterized by fluctuating muscle weakness.Acetylcholine receptor antibody (AchR-Ab) is the first MG specific antibody being elucidated, however, the discovery of many other MG specific or related antibodies enriches its immunopathogenesis greatly. The detection of antibodies is very important for the diagnosis and classification of MG.It can be used to guide the clinical management and evaluate the response to treatment as well. With the development of laboratory medicine, the methods of antibody detection are also being optimized. In this paper,we will review the serum antibodies closely associated with MG and their mechanisms, detection methods and clinical significance.

Microbiology 1992;0(03):-
A high active soybean isoflavone glucoside hydrolase-producing mould strain was isolated from spirit qu. Its optimal hydrolase-producing conditions were as follows: 2.5% wheat bran as carbon source, 1% NaNO3 as nitrogen source, initial pH7. 0, culture medium volume 40mL/250mL, inoculating quantity 8% , culture temperature 30℃, revolutions 160r/min and culture time 84h. The enzyme activity reached 82 U/mL. Cu2+ can inhibit Absidia sp. R strain from producing the hydrolase, the influence of other metal ions was not remarkable on it.

China Journal of Chinese Materia Medica 2005;30(3):191-192
OBJECTIVETo determine the content of linarin in Yuye Jiedu granule.
METHODA HPLC method was developed. The chromatographic conditions are as follows Luna C18 column and acetonitrile-0.05 mol x L(-1) phosphate buffer-phosphoric acid (30:70:0.06) as mobil phase, detection wavelenth at 327 nm.
RESULTThe linear range of linarin was 0.025-0.50 microg. The average recovery was 98.7% and RSD 2.7%.
CONCLUSIONThe method is simple and accurate, with good repeatability, and can be used for determination of linarin in Yuye Jiedu granule.

Objective The current study is aimed to investigate the association of single nucleotide polymorphisms and gene expression in peptidylarginine deiminase Ⅳ (PADI4) with rheumatoid arthritis (RA).Methods The gene expression of PADI4 was examined using real-time quantitative reverse transcription-polymcrase chain reaction (RT-PCR) in 70 patients with RA and 81 healthy controls. Four exonie SNPs of the PADI4 gene (PADI4_89, _90, _92, _104) were genotyped using DNA sequencing and TA cloning. Results The distribution of PADI4_89, _90, _104 SNPs in RA was different from that of healthy controls. The increased RA susceptibility was significantly associated with minor alleles. When haplotypes were construe -ted with 4 SNPs, two major haplotypes, ACCC and GTGT were found in all samples, and GTGT haplo-type (carrying only the minor alleles) was significandy associated with increased RA susceptibility (P<0.01)in comparison with the reference haplotype ACCC. There was over expression of PADI4 in RA than controls(P<0.05). C, enotypes carrying the minor alleles had higher expression level of PADI4 in RA and controls than those with the common alleles. Conclusion PADI4 SNPs and haplotypes are associated with RA susceptibility in Chinese. PADI4 is over-expressed in the blood of RA patients, and there is significant association between the haplotypes and expression level of the PADI4 gene.
