Objective To determine sensitive indices for defining degenerative cervical spinal canal stenosis(DCSCS) with a new radiograghic measurement method. Methods One hundred normal lateral radiographs of the cervical spine were divided into two groups according to ages. The following indices were measured or calculated: sagittal diameter of spinal canal(a), sagittal diameter of cervical body(b), sagittal diameter of edge or degenerative cervical body(c), cervical spinal canal ratio[(a/b),CSCR] and effective cervical spinal canal ratio [(a+b-c)/c,ECSCR]. The comparisons of these indices between two groups were performed to select the most sensitive index for clinical reference. Results There was no significant difference between the two age groups in terms of a, b and a/b. The comparison of c and (a+b-c)/c between two age groups showed significant difference at the level of C4,C5 and C6 (P

Objective To explore the effects of TSP in classroom air on teachershealth. Methods Air sampling was car-ried out nearby the platform in each in use-classroom at flow of100L/min continuously for6h(n=270)and in office building as controls(n=10)in a university. An investigation on the prevalence of respiratory diseases was performed also. Results The concentration s of TSP were0.10-0.88mg /m 3 in classroom air with a average level of0.38mg /m 3 ,and only0.09mg /m 3 in office air of the university,and0.194mg /m 3 in the ambient air respectively. The TSP concentrations in the classromms exceeded the National Standard of Ambient Air Quality GradeⅢ.The prevalence rates of respiratory diseases including acute and chronic phyryngitis, acute tracheobronchitis and chronic bronchitis were23.3%,73.9%,4.0%and17.4%for teachers,only4%,2.8%,3.2%and7.1%for administrative staff respectively.Con clusion The classroom air pollution by TSP had adverse effects on teachershealth in classrooms.
3.Value of C-12 Tumor Markers Detection in the Differential Diagnosis of Malignant and Non-malignant Ascites
Journal of Chinese Physician 2001;0(07):-
Objective To explore the new method for the differential diagnosis of malignant and non-malignant ascites. Methods 126 patients with ascites including 39 cases of liver cirrhosis,15 cases of tuberculous peritonitis,33 cases of hepatocellular carcinoma and 39 cases of other malignant tumors were enrolled in this study. The levels of serum C-12 tumor markers were measured. Results The levels of serum CEA, AFP, CA19-9 and CA242 were remarkably higher in malignant ascites than thos in non-malignant ascites(P
4.The Diagnosis and Pitfalls of Ultrasonography in the Occult Carcinoma of Thyroid
Chinese Journal of Medical Imaging 2009;(6):409-411
Purpose:Occult carcinoma of thyroid ( OCT) is difficult to differentiate from benign thyroid nodules because it is small ( < 1 cm),often asymptomatic, shares similar ultrasonographic characteristics. The aim of this study was to retrospectively review the ultrasound diagnosis and pitfalls of ultrasound in OCT.Materials and Methods: The ultrasonography in 37 cases suspected of OCT were reviewed, analyzed and compared with histopathology. Results: 30/37 (81.1% ) cases (38 nodules) confirmed of OCT were found solid, hypoechogenic nodules in 97.4%,with irregular margins ( 33/38,86.8% ),longitudinal-to-transverse ratio = 1 ( 17/38,44.4% ),minute calcification (19/38,50.0%),decreased flow (36/38,94.7%),and resistance index < 0.7( 30/37,81.1%).7/37 (19.0%) cases of misdiag-nosis included 3 chronic lymphocytic thyroiditis with nodules,2 nodular goiter and 2 collagen nodules. They all had overlapping ultrasonographic features. Conclusion: Those ultrasonographic features were of certain value in OCT.

Objectives To study the difference of the disease in different places, blood stasis syndrome was taken as an example to study syndromes of the different disease from different place. Methods The blood stasis syndrome patients from north, east and southwest of China were selected to study the laboratory examination of them, then summarize the difference of different place. Results There were significantly difference on erythrocyte and haemoglobin between Yunnan and Beijing, Fujian(P

Journal of Environment and Health 1992;0(02):-
Objective To develop a new method to screen the potential microcystin-producing cyanobacteria in natural waters. Methods Cyanobacteria were cultured and waters samples were analyzed by polymerase chain reaction with special primers for gene of the operon mcyD which encodes a microcystin synthetase combining conserved gene 16S rRNA of alga, subsequently, whose microcystins were detected by ELISA. Results There was a unique amplified product of approximately 870 bp in microcystin-producing blue-green alga and water samples, but no target band in non-toxic strains and samples. Conclusion It is feasible to use the molecular biological method used mcyD as the microcystin molecular biomarker to screen microcystin-producing cyanobacteria in natural water.

Journal of Environment and Health 1993;0(03):-
Objective To understand whether Imarcaptoacetate dioctyltin(IMA) is a environmental endocrine disruptor or not. Methods The new born Wistar rats were randomly divided into six groups including positive control group, negative control group and four experimental groups. The rats in the experimental groups were given IMA at different concentrations (0.100 0, 0.010 0, 0.001 0, 0.000 1 ?g/10 g) 1/1 000 000 by hypodermic injection, the rats in the negative control group were treated with corn oil and those in the positive control group were treated with dibutyltin dilaurate(DBTD) at concentration of 0.001 ?g/10 g bw. The rats were injected one time each day for five consecutive days. After one and half months, the levels of T, LH and FSH in the blood, the weight of the testicles, ovaries and the sexual organ exponent were determined. The pathological examination on some samples was conducted. Results In both of female and male, the levels of T in IMA treated rats were significantly increased and showed an doge-effect relationship (P0.05). The exponents of the testicles were different among groups (P

International Eye Science 2015;(7):1179-1183
Neovascular glaucoma ( NVG ) is a series of blinding and intractable eye diseases, which caused by various intraocular or extraocular diseases. The iris and angle neovascularization and vascular membrane fiber contraction may eventually lead to progressive elevation of intraocular pressure and angle closure. Because of complex etiology, the treatment of NVG is intractable and inefficient. Based on the articles published in recent years, we reviewed the progressions of the relevant cytokines and animal models.
