3.Ginsenoside Rg1 protect against Cadmium-induced tesicular damage in rat
Journal of Chongqing Medical University 1986;0(03):-
Objective:To investigate the protective effect and the possible mechanism of Rg1 on Cadmium-induced tesicular damage in rat.Methods:30 wistar rats were divided into 3 groups:the control group, the Cd group and the Cd+Rg1 group. The Cd group rats injected intraperitoneally with 0.5 mg/(kg?d) cadmium for 14 days. The rats in the Cd+Rg1 group were pretreated with 75mg/(kg?d) Rg1 by intragastric administration before injected intraperitoneally with 0.5 mg/(kg?d) cadmium. All animals were killed after 14 days, the sperm count, the movable sperm percentage and the abnormal sperm rate in epididymis were analyzed. The content of MT in testis were detected and the apoptosis of testis genital cells were assessed by TdT-mediated dUTP-biotin nick end labeling(TUNEL)technique.Results:14 days after exposed to Cd caused a significant decrease in the sperm count and the movable sperm percentage. On the other hand, the abnormal sperm rate, the content of MT and the apoptosis percent of genital cells in testis were increased significantly. In the Cd+Rg1 group, the sperm count, the movable sperm percentage and the content of MT were higher than that of Cd group, while the abnormal sperm rate and the apoptosis percent of genital cells in testis were significantly lower than that of Cd group.Conclusion:Rg1 have protective effect on on tesicular damage induced by Cd possibly through upregulating the expression of MT in testis.
4.Effectiveness of Underbody Forced-air Warming System in Preventing Hypothermia in Patients Undergoing Major Surgeries.
Acta Academiae Medicinae Sinicae 2017;39(3):411-415
Objective To compare the effectiveness of the forced-air warming system and the conventional warming care practice in preventing hypothermia in patients undergoing major surgeries. Methods A total of 62 patients were enrolled in this study. Patients of both sexes,aged≥18 years, and with an ASA physical status Ⅰ-Ⅲ were included and allocated randomly into intervention group(n=30)or control group(n=32). Patients in the intervention group were provided forced-air warming, either prior to induction or during the surgery procedure depending on core temperature monitoring results. In the control group, patients were warmed with conventional warming care without any intervention. Core temperature was measured by Spot-On sensor and tympanic membrane thermometer, blood pressure, the electrocardiogram, heart rate, pulse oxygen staturation, and partial pressure of end-tidal COwere also monitored continuously in the two groups.Crystalloid, colloid, and allogeneic blood were also recorded by strict protocol. Results Intraoperative hypothermia monitored with tympanic thermometer was observed in 23 patients(71.87%)in the control group, which was significantly higher than that (0) in the intervention group(P=0.00). In addition, the incidence of hypothermia monitored by Spot-On sensor was 81.25%(n=26)in control group and 13.33%(n=4)in intervention group(P=0.00). Conclusion Compared with the conventional warming care,forced-air warming system is more effective in preventing hypothermia during major surgeries.
5.Application of picture archiving and communication system based case-based learning mode in orthopedic clinical teaching
Chinese Journal of Medical Education Research 2013;(10):1050-1052
With the rapid development of China's higher education and the intensified reforms in medical and health services, the problems and contradictions are increasingly prominent in ortho-pedic clinical teaching, especially how to improve medical interns' ability to read images. Picture archiving and communication system (PACS)plays an important role in academic education of medi-cal imaging. Case-based learning (CBL)is a team seminar teaching mode that is guided by cases, based on problems, targeted at students, and dominated by teachers. PACS and CBL were perfectly combined in orthopedic clinical teaching to improve teaching efficiency and the outcome was evaluat-ed through a questionnaire. Results showed that this teaching method inspired students' interests in learning, cultivated the orthopedic clinical way of thinking thus achieved better teaching effects.
6.Relationship between CD_(44v) and leukemia
Journal of Leukemia & Lymphoma 2010;19(3):184-187
CD_(44) adhesion molecule is a cell surface transmembrane glycoprotein. It displays many varinat isoforms generated by alternative splicing of exons, including CD_(44s). and CD_(44v). It has been reported that CD_(44) adhesion molecule is strongly expressed on the surface of leukemic blasts in all acute myeloid leukemia subtypes. It has been found through in vitro study that CD_(44) monoclonal antibodies can inhibit proliferation of all acute myeloid leukemia cell lines and induce terminal differentiate or apoptosis of some cell lines to diverse extent. In this review the relationship between CD_(44v), and leukemia was analysed.
