Multiple primary carcinomas(MPC),also known as multiple cancer, refers to single or multi-ple organ tissues occur more than two primary cancer in the same patient. In this case,it has been found multiple simultaneous cancers within 6 months. It is called metachronous cancer, which multiple cancers come from differ-ent original cancers more than 6 months. It is reported that there is a low incidence rate of multiple primary carci-nomas,which is largely influenced by radiotherapy and chemotherapy.Multiple primary cancers are easy to be confused with metastatic tumors in clinical practice, both of them are quite different in terms of treatment and prognosis. Therefore,it is helpful to improve the survival of patients by timely diagnosis and treatment. This article reported a case of multiple primary carcinomas.

Objective:
To investigate the value of means of surfaces with nonhomogeneity (MSN) in esti-mating the incidence of pneumoconiosis.
Methods:
Based on the principal component analysis, all counties (districts) of Hebei Province, China, were divided into three categories according to the degree of pneumoconiosis hazards and the MSN model was used to estimate the incidence rate of pneumoconiosis and the number of pneu-moconiosis cases using the data of the incidence of pneumoconiosis in 2010.
Results:
With reference to the appli-cation requirements of the MSN model, results of the principal component analysis, and expert experience, the 172 counties (districts) in Hebei Province were divided into three categories with mild, moderate, and severe pneumoconiosis hazards. There were 74, 61, and 49 counties in the above categories, respectively, and 12, 12, and 25 counties were selected from them, respectively. The estimated number of pneumoconiosis cases in Hebei Province was 2105, and the incidence rate was 261.5 per hundred thousand, with a standard error of esti-mation of 389.9 per hundred thousand.
Conclusion
The MSN model provides a new thought and method for es-timating the number of pneumoconiosis cases.

Chinese Acupuncture & Moxibustion 2017;37(4):361-365
OBJECTIVETo observe the regulative effects of the acupuncture on glucose and lipid metabolism disorder in the patients of metabolic syndrome.
METHODSSeventy-six patients of metabolic syndrome were rando-mized into an acupuncture plus western medicine group (37 cases) and a western medicine group (39 cases). In the western medicine group, the conventional western medication was used for 40 days. In the acupuncture plus western medicine group, the acupuncture was combined on the basis of the treatment as the western medicine group, the acupoints were Danzhong (CV 17), Zhongwan (CV 12), Tianshu (ST 25), etc. Ten treatments were as one session. There were 3 to 5 days of intervals between the sessions and totally 30 treatments were required. The body mass index (BMI), blood lipid, blood glucose, and comprehensive therapeutic effects were compared before and after treatment in the two groups.
RESULTSBefore and after treatment, the differences were all significant in BMI, triglyceride (TG), total cholesterol (TC), low-density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL-C), high density lipoprotein cholesterol (HDL-C), fasting blood glucose (FBG), plasma glucose of 2 hours post glucose-load (2 hPG), fasting insulin (FINS) and insulin resistance index (HOMA-IR) (all<0.05) in the acupuncture plus western medicine group, and the results after treatment were superior to those before treatment; the difference was not significant in BMI (>0.05) and those were all significant statistically in TG, TC, LDL-C, HDL-C, FBG, 2 hPG, FINS, HOMA-IR (all<0.05) in the western medicine group, and the results after treatment were superior to those before treatment. After treatment, in comparison of the two groups, the results in the acupuncture plus western medicine group were better than those in the western medicine group. The differences were all signif-icant sta-tistically in BMI, TG, TC, LDL-C, HDL-C, FBG, 2 hPG, FINS, HOMA-IR (all<0.05).
CONCLUSIONSOn the basis of the conventional western medicine, the acupuncture relieves apparently the clinical symptoms and rectifies glucose and lipid metabolism disorder in the patients of metabolic syndrome.

Infectious bone defect is bone defect with infection or as a result of treatment of bone infection. It requires surgical intervention, and the treatment processes are complex and long, which include bone infection control, bone defect repair and even complex soft tissue reconstructions in some cases. Failure to achieve the goals in any step may lead to the failure of the overall treatment. Therefore, infectious bone defect has been a worldwide challenge in the field of orthopedics. Conventionally, sequestrectomy, bone grafting, bone transport, and systemic/local antibiotic treatment are standard therapies. Radical debridement remains one of the cornerstones for the management of bone infection. However, the scale of debridement and the timing and method of bone defect reconstruction remain controversial. With the clinical application of induced membrane technique, effective infection control and rapid bone reconstruction have been achieved in the management of infectious bone defect. The induced membrane technique has attracted more interests and attention, but the lack of understanding the basic principles of infection control and technical details may hamper the clinical outcomes of induced membrane technique and complications can possibly occur. Therefore, the Chinese Orthopedic Association organized domestic orthopedic experts to formulate An evidence-based clinical guideline for the treatment of infectious bone defect with induced membrane technique ( version 2023) according to the evidence-based method and put forward recommendations on infectious bone defect from the aspects of precise diagnosis, preoperative evaluation, operation procedure, postoperative management and rehabilitation, so as to provide useful references for the treatment of infectious bone defect with induced membrane technique.

West China Journal of Stomatology 2019;37(3):270-274
OBJECTIVE:
To investigate the color stability of infiltrant resin together with three other composites exposed to staining solution.
METHODS:
Three types of anterior aesthetic composite resins (Filtek Z250, Filtek Z350 XT, and Beautiful Flow Plus F00) and artificial caries with Icon infiltrant resin were used. The samples were randomly divided into two groups (each contained 10 specimens): coffee solution and distilled water immersion for three weeks. Color parameters were deter-mined with the Crystaleye spectrophotometer.
RESULTS:
Artificial caries lesions infiltrated by Icon showed much higher ΔE than those infiltrated by other aesthetic resins (P<0.05). The discoloration of all the experimental resins and the artificial caries infil-trated with Icon increased with time, but the discoloration on the 1st week was significantly higher than those on the 2nd and 3rd weeks.
CONCLUSIONS
Artificial caries infiltrated with Icon was more vulnerable and susceptive to food color than those infiltrated with other aesthetic composite resins.
