Objective To observe the enhancement pattern and time-intensity curve of endometrial carcinomas by using contrast-enhanced ultrasound(CEUS). Methods Altogether 30 endometrial carcinomas were evaluated with real-time gray-scale CEUS, using pulse inversion harmonies technique. The enhancement patterns were observed. Twenty tumors were compared for the size between traditional ultrasound and CEUS. In 21 cases, the parameters of time-intenaity curve were compared between the endometrial lesion and un-involved myometrium. Results The contrast agent arrived at the feeding vessels firstly and then branched into the endometrial tumors. All of the endometrial tumors were enhanced completely except for the necrosis area. In 73.3 % (22/30) of cases, the tumors washed out earlier than the un-involved myometrium. By using CEUS 76. 7% (23/30) of cases showed the feeding vessels of tumor. 43.3% (13/30) of cases showed more clearly than traditional ultrasound in tumor base, position and boundary. The mean enhancement sizes of tumor were bigger than the size showed by traditional ultrasound in 85% of cases by (0. 62±0.50)cm. More than 90% cases showed the tumors start to enhance and wash-out earlier than or at the same time as myometrium. The arrival time and peak time of cancer group were significantly earlier than myometrium group. The peak intensity, enhancement intensity and the rising rate of the tumor group were significantly higher than those of the myometrium group. Conclusions There are some characteristic points in CEUS of endometrial carcinomas. CEUS can provide richer information in tumor imaging than traditional ultrasound and has certain clinical value.

Objective To investigate the variations of mtDNA from high and low metastatic mouse hepatocarcinoma cell sublines Hca-F and Hca-P, and the relationship between mutations of mtDNA and carcinogenesis. Methods The variations of D-loop, ND3 and tRNA Met+Glu+Ile gene fragments of mtDNA from Hca-F and Hca-P cells were analyzed by PCR-RFLP and sequencing techniques. Results No amplification fragment length polymorphism and restriction fragment length polymorphism were observed in tRNA Met+Glu+Ile , ND3 and D-loop of mtDNA from the 2 cell sublines. Sequence difference between these 2 cell sublines were found in mtDNA D-loop region by sequencing. Conclusions Genetic alteration of mtDNA non-coding region in tumors, which may reflect the environmental and genetic influences operative during tumor progression, can be linked to their tumorigenic phenotype.

Objective:To explore the influencing factors of the image cleanliness scores of magnetically-controlled capsule endoscopy (MCE) and the methods to improve cleanliness scores. Methods:Data of patients undergoing MCE from October 2017 to August 2020 in Peking University First Hospital were analyzed retrospectively. The cleanliness scores at six regions of the stomach (cardia, fundus, body, angularis, antrum, and pylorus) were recorded (1-4 points), and the sum of the scores from these six regions was also calculated. Clinical features [gender, age, body mass index, indication, use of esophagus cap, and medication of proton pump inhibitors(PPI)], and gastric preparation regimens (one dose of pronase: simethicone 5 mL + pronase 20 000 U + sodium bicarbonate 1 g; or two doses of pronase: simethicone 5 mL + pronase 40 000 U + sodium bicarbonate 2 g) were collected. Cleanliness scores were defined as poor (group P, total cleanliness scores≤18) and as good (group G, total cleanliness scores>18). Clinical features, indication, use of esophagus cap and PPI, and preparation regimes were compared. Factors influencing cleanliness scores were analyzed. Results:A total of 238 consecutive patients with median age of 61.5 (54.0, 76.3) years were recruited according to inclusion criteria, among whom 68(28.6%) were female. There were 35 patients (14.7%) in group P with median age of 67.0 (56.0, 83.0) years. There were 203 patients(85.3%)in group G with median age of 61.0 (53.0, 75.0) years. No significant differences were found in age, sex, body mass index or esophagus cap use( P>0.05). Indications of abdominal symptoms or digestive system diseases( OR= 2.899, 95% CI: 1.258-6.681, P=0.012) and PPI use ( OR=3.168, 95% CI: 1.261-7.959, P=0.014) were more likely to yield a low cleanliness score. Gastric preparation regimen with two doses of pronase ( OR=0.201, 95% CI: 0.067~0.603, P=0.004)was more likely to avoid a low cleanliness score. Conclusions:Indications of digestive system diseases or abdominal symptoms and PPI use may decrease the cleanliness scores of MCE, while gastric preparation with double doses of pronase may improve it.

Locally advanced non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) is a highly heterogeneous disease. For patients with driver gene-negative, unresectable NSCLC, traditional treatment primarily involves concurrent chemoradiotherapy. With the advent of the immunotherapy era, integrated treatment strategies combining concurrent chemoradiotherapy with immunotherapy have significantly improved therapeutic outcomes and substantially extended survival periods. This article summarizes the interaction mechanisms and clinical research progress of radiotherapy, chemotherapy, and immune checkpoint inhibitors in the treatment of NSCLC. This review also provides perspectives on the development of therapies in the future and predictive biomarkers, serving as a reference for treatment options for patients with unresectable locally advanced NSCLC.

Diabetes mellitus(DM)is an endocrine metabolic disease mainly characterized by chronic hyperglycemia, which seriously threatens the health and quality of life of human beings, and with the improvement of living standard and unhealthy lifestyle in China, the incidence of DM continues to rise and tends to be younger,so it is urgent to carry out in-depth research on hypoglycemic treatment.DM is pathologically based on absolute or relative insulin deficiency, and there is no radical cure for it,and Western medicine mostly adopts insulin injection or oral hypoglycemic drugs for symptomatic treatment, which is effective but prone to toxic side effects in long-term use.Chinese medicine has the advantages of multi-path and multi-target in treating DM,and plays a role in lowering blood sugar by promoting insulin secretion, improving insulin resistance, regulating glucolipid metabolism and anti-oxidative stress, etc. Its efficacy is remarkable and the rate of toxic side effects is low.In recent years, there have been more studies on the mechanism of action of traditional Chinese medicine and compound prescriptions on animal models of DM.By reviewing the relevant literature in recent years, the author has systematically sorted out the mechanism of hypoglycemic action of single Chinese medicine, traditional Chinese medicine compound prescriptions, effective components of traditional Chinese medicine and their related experimental designs, from promoting insulin secretion, inhibiting gluconeogenesis, promoting glycogen synthesis, improving insulin resistance, inhibiting glycosidase activity, alleviating oxidative stress damage, inhibiting inflammatory response and regulating intestinal stress. The study and experimental design of the hypoglycemic mechanism of Chinese medicine were summarized in terms of promoting insulin secretion, inhibiting gluconeogenesis, promoting glycogen synthesis, improving insulin resistance, inhibiting glucosidase activity, alleviating oxidative stress damage, inhibiting inflammatory response and regulating intestinal flora, etc.,with a view to providing reference for the wider clinical application of Chinese medicine in hypoglycemia and its in-depth pharmacodynamic study.
