Immunosenescence is a biological process featured by the structural and functional decline of immunity in ageing people, which favors the carcinogenesis by rendering the body's immune surveillance and tumor escape.Decreasing clearance of tumor cells by macrophages and natural killer cell reflects the immunosenescence of innate immune, also, the tumor antigen presentation ability of dendritic cell is decreased. While, the decline of the CD8 + T cells cytotoxic effect and the secretion of tumor growth factor accounts for the immunosenescence of adaptive immunity.Intervention of immunosenescence may produce the novelty ideas of prevention and treatment of cancer.

Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine 1992;0(12):-
In view of the deficiencies of both Qi and Yin in most cases of this tumor, Jinfukang oral solution (JFK). a remedy mainly for benefiting Qi and nourishing -yin. was formulated. 96 cases were treated with one case of CR. 8 cases PR, 52 NC. the rate of PR + NC being 63. 5%. Another 52 cases were treated with chemotherapy +JFK. with 11 cases of PR, 26 cases NC, the rate of PR + NC being 71. 2%. While 25 cases were treated by chemotherapy alone, the cases of PR was 4; NC 26. the rate of PR + NC being 60. 0%, This demonstrated that the effect of JFK and JFK + chemotherapy were all superior to effect of chemotherapy alone. For 1 - and 2 - year survival rates, the JFK group was 67. 3% and 66. 7% respectively, whereas that of JFK + chemotherapy. 67. 3% and 66. 7%. For the chemotherapy group , 1 - year survival rate was 40. 3%, with no survivals within 2 years. For symptom improvement, body weight gaining, and health condition (KPS evaluation) after treatment, the JFK and JFK + chemotherapy groups were, again, superior to the chemotherapy group. The Immunity indices and blood picture in JFK group after treatment were markedly improved as compared with those before treatment, but, those in the chemotherapy group were decreased, while those of the JFK + chemotherapy group remained unchanged.

Objective To explore the effects of DNMT3b on the expression and methylation sta-tus of the promoter region of DLC-1 in human hepatocellular carcinoma cell line. Methods The SMMC-7721 cell line was divided into 2 groups. The cell line in the experimental group was transfect-ed with DNMT3b siRNA, while that in the control group was transfected with control siRNA. West-ern blot was used to detect the expression of DNMT3b and DLC-1 and MSP was employed to examine the methylation status of the promoter region of DLC-1. Results The expression of DNMT3b was significantly higher in the experimental group than in the control group, while the expression of DLC-1 was just opposite. There was no significant difference in the methylation status of the promoter re-gion of DLC-1 between the 2 groups and both were methylated. Conelnsion The inhibition of expression of DNMT3b by siRNA method can enhance the expression level of DLC-1, and the methylation status of the promoter region of DLC-1 does not change at the same time. When affecting the expression of DLC-1, DN-MT3b might not play the role of methyhransferase, but can act as a transcriptional regulatory factor.

Acta Anatomica Sinica 1955;0(03):-
The distribution of somatostatin (SRIF) in substantia gelatinosa of the rat spinal cord was studied by means of immuno-electron microscopy. The ultrastructural features showed that nerve terminals containing SRIF take part in forming presynap- tie elements of axe-somatic, axe-dendritic and axo-axonic synapses. The immune- reactive products locatl at the external membrane of mitochondria, around the small clear synaptie vesicles and in the large granular vesicles. Most of synaptic vesicles are round or ovoid in shape. Only a few of them are flattened. Based on the ultrastructural characteristics mentioned above and related experimental results the authors believe that SRIF in substantia gelatinosa of the rat spinal cord is probably involved as a neurotransmitter instead of neuromodulator.

Chinese Journal of Interventional Imaging and Therapy 2009;6(4):363-366
Objective To assess the prediction value of nonbronchial systemic arterial supply in hemoptysis patients with non-enhanced CT. Methods Fifty-six consecutive patients with hemoptysis underwent non-enhanced CT. Thickness of pleural adjacent to parenchymal lesion larger than 3 mm was regarded as index of nonbronchial systemic arterial supply. Conventional angiography was used as the standard of reference. CT findings were compared with those of conventional angiography. The sensitivity, specificity, and accuracy of CT for predicting nonbronchial systemic arterial supply were assessed. Results The sensitivity, specificity and accuracy of CT for predicting nonbronchial systemic arterial supply were 72.73%, 95.00% and 91.11%, respectively. Sensitivity was higher when nonbronchial systemic arterial supply located in superolateral and posterolateral lung, and lower in anteromedial and inferior lung. Specificity and accuracy were high for predicting nonbronchial systemic arterial supply in every locations. Conclusion Non-enhanced CT can predict nonbronchial systemic arterial supply in patients with hemoptysis, which is helpful for selecting angiography and embolization.
