This study was aimed to investigate the blood-enriching effect of processed Radix Polygoni Multiflori on blood deficiency rats. A total of 140 SD rats were randomly divided into 14 groups, which were the blank control group, blood deficiency model group, positive control group and 11 test groups. The blank control group and model control group were treated with distilled water and the positive control group was given X ue b ao Buxue soluble granules. The test groups were treated with 11 different kinds of processed Radix Polygoni Multiflori sam-ples at a dosage of 2 g?kg-1 respectively. All rats were given drugs once a day. After 10 days, blood samples were collected and the amount of red blood cell (RBC), hemoglobin (Hb), haematocrit (HCT), whole blood viscos-ity and plasma viscosity, prothrombin time were estimated. The results showed that 9 processed Radix Polygoni Multiflori groups can increase the number of RBC and Hb significantly ( P < 0 . 05 or P < 0 . 01 ) in blood deficien-cy rat models. They were the sample processed with decoction of black soybean (DBS) for 24 h, with wine and DBS combination for 24 h , steamed for 4 h and 8 h under high pressure , with DBS for 6 h and 8 h , with wine for 6 h, with wine and DBS combination under high pressure, respectively. The samples processed with DBS un-der high pressure for 8 h increased RBC and Hb were more obviously ( P < 0 . 01 ) . The 8 groups can improve the situation of functional disorder of blood rheology significantly ( P < 0 . 05 or P < 0 . 01 ) . They were the unprocessed samples, processed with DBS and wine for 24 h respectively, with DBS and wine combination for 24 h, steamed for 4 h and 8 h or steamed with DBS for 6 h and 8 h or with wine for 6 h under high pressure respectively. It was concluded that the blood-enriching effect was improved while the R adix Polygoni Multiflori was processed with DBS or wine and under high pressure for 6-8 h .

Objective To compare the potentiality of opa typing versus Neisseria gonorrhoeae multi-antigen sequence typing (Ng-MAST) in discrimination of N. gonorrhoeae isolates, and to investigate the consistency of genotypes of N. gonorrhoeae between patients and their sex partners. Methods N. gonor-rhoeae was isolated from patients and their sex partners who attended sexually transmitted disease clinics of the Affiliated Union Hospital of Tongji Medical College, Huazhong University of Science and Technology from February 2006 to August 2007. All isolates were cultured on Thayer-Martin agar and GC-based choco-late agar, and identified by Gram stain and oxidase reaction. Totally, twenty-four strains of N. gonorrhoeae were isolated form 12 pairs of male-female sex partners. Genomic DNA was isolated from the strains, and subjected to PCR amplification of opa gene as well as pot and tbpB genes, opa typing and Ng-MAST typing were utilized to differentiate the 24 strains respectively. Results The 24 isolates were classified into 10 sequence types (ST) by Ng-MAST typing, and 12 opa types (OT) by opa typing. A novel genotype identi-fied by Ng-MAST (217-86% homologisation 178), was unique in China. Conclusions Both ST and OT of N. gonorrhoeae strains are identical between patients and their corresponding partners except for one pair of partners, 45/46, suggesting that gonorrhea is transmitted to each other by contiguity between sex partners. Opa typing is likely to be more potential than Ng-MAST in genotyping of N.gonorrhoeae strains.

To identify the genomic species of Neisseria gonorrhoeae, evaluate the difference between two molecular epidemiological methods and examine the relationship between sex partners and genotypes of bacteria, 24 strains of Neisseria gonorrhoeae isolated from the outpatients with gonorrhea were identified by using the Opa genotyping and NG-MAST genotyping and the relationship between genotypes and phenotypes was studied. Twenty-four strains of Neisseria gonorrhoeae fell into 10 ST genotypes by NG-MAST genotyping, whereas these strains were classified into 12 OT Opa genotypes by Opa genotyping. A new epidemic strain of ST genotype (217-86% homologisation 178) in China was identified. It is concluded that genotypes of each pair of strains from a pair of patient/ sex partner besides 45/46 are the same, indicating that contagious infection take place between patient and the sex partner. Opa genotyping was more effective than NG-MAST genotyping in identifying the genomic species of Neisseria gonorrhoeae. ST genotype could be further classified into different Opa-types.

Objective To investigate the epidemiological features of out-of-hospital patients with ventricular fibrillation (VF) in Shanghai and to analysis factors associated with outcomes, and to provide evidence for improving the success rate of VF.Methods The data of patients with VF admitted to Shanghai Medical Emergency Center from January 2013 to December 2016 were analyzed retrospectively. All the data were recorded including the clinical data, medical service time, return of spontaneous circulation (ROSC) at scene/en route, survival to hospital discharge. Factors that associated with successful resuscitation were analyzed by Logistic regression. Results From 2013 to 2016, 21096 patients with suspected cardiac arrest were admitted to the Shanghai Medical Emergency Center. After excluding ventricular tachycardia (13 cases) and ventricular asystole (20995 cases), 88 patients with VF were enrolled, with 62 male and 26 female; the average age was (63.22±16.15) years old. While bystander cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) was performed in only 21 cases (23.86%). Fifty-seven cases occurred during the day (08:00-20:00), while 31 cases occurred in the night. And the average emergency response time was (6.47±4.13) minutes; the average on-site time was (14.76±10.88) minutes; the average transport to hospital time was (5.95±4.00) minutes. There were no significant differences in response time, on-site time and transport to hospital time each year, and there were no significant differences in emergency medical service time between day and night either. From 2013 to 2016, prehospital successful resuscitation rate was decreased by years [95.65% (22/23), 87.50% (14/16), 83.33% (20/24) vs. 80.00%(20/25), respectively,χ2 = 1.895,P = 0.595]. Survival to hospital discharge rate was increased by years [21.74% (5/23), 31.25% (5/16), 37.50% (9/24), 40.00% (10/25), respectively,χ2 = 2.862,P = 0.413]. The success rate of prehospital resuscitation for patients with 1, 2, ≥3 defibrillation was 35.23% (31/88), 23.08% (12/52), 89.19% (33/37), respectively (χ2 = 42.811,P = 0.000). The on-site time in successful final resuscitation group was shorter than that in final resuscitation failure group (minutes: 10.85±8.83 vs. 16.79±11.36,t = 2.367,P = 0.020), the ROSC time in successful final resuscitation group was shorter than that of final resuscitation failure group (minutes: 3.24±3.17 vs. 7.43±6.64, t = 3.175,P = 0.002). It was shown by Logistic regression that long ROSC time was the risk factor for final resuscitation failure [odds ratio (OR) = 0.771,P = 0.024]. Gender, age, availability of witnesses CPR, call time, emergency response time, on-site time and transport to hospital time had no significant impact on the prehospital successful resuscitation and final successful resuscitation. In prehospital successful resuscitation group, there was significant difference in survival to hospital discharge rate among different defibrillation times group [48.39% (15/31), 58.33% (7/12) vs. 21.21% (7/33),χ2 = 7.460,P = 0.024].Conclusions From 2013 to 2016, there were no significant changes in the emergency response time, prehospital successful resuscitation rate and survival to hospital discharge rate of patients with VF in Shanghai. Though, repeated defibrillation could significantly increased prehospital successful resuscitation rate, multiple defibrillation indicated decline of survival to hospital discharge rate in prehospital successful resuscitation group. Additionally, long on-site time and long ROSC time indicated poor prognosis.
