In order to investigate the role of Th17 cytokines in the pathogenesis of psoriasis, reverse transcriptase-polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) was used to detect the expression of IL-17, IL-23 (p19/p40), and IL-6 in skin lesions and non-lesions of the patients with psoriasis and skin tissues of normal subjects. The results showed that the mRNA expression levels of IL-17, IL-23p19, IL-23p40 and IL-6 in psoriasis lesion were significantly higher than those of non-lesions (1.231 +/- 0.843 vs 1.003 +/- 0.044, 1.166 +/- 0.142 vs 0.765 +/- 0.133, 1.125 +/- 0.104 vs 0.730 +/- 0.103, 1.186 +/- 0.222 vs 0.976 +/- 0.122, respectively, all P < 0.05). Meanwhile, The expression levels of IL-17 mRNA, IL-23p19 mRNA, IL-23p40 mRNA and IL-6 mRNA were higher in non-lesions than those in normal skin tissues (1.003 +/- 0.044 vs 0.620 +/- 0.104, 0.765 +/- 0.133 vs 0.584 +/- 0.078, 0.730 +/- 0.103 vs 0.000 +/- 0.000, 0.976 +/- 0.122 vs 0.656 +/- 0.121, respectively, all P < 0.05). The overexpression of Th17 cytokines in the skin lesions of patients with psoriasis may indicate that Th17 cytokines play a very important role in the immunopathogenesis of psoriasis.

Male guinea pigs were exposed to 750ppm or l000ppm or 1 500ppm toluene (8h/d, for 14d), and their hearing thresholds were tested by means of Madsen ERA 2250 system 3d and 14d after exposure. Hearing impairment was observed in all groups. The degree of impairment was related to the exposure concentration and had a tendency to further damage in two weeks. The results indicate that toluene can cause acute hearing impairment even if its concentration is as low as 750ppm and the impairment develops from bad to worse at least in two weeks.

In order to investigate the mRNA expression and function of interleukin-23 (p19/p40) and interleukin-12 (p35/p40) in the psoriatic lesion, no-lesion and normal human skin, reverse transcriptase-polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) was used to detect the expression of IL-23 (p19/p40) and IL-12 (p35/p40). The results showed that the expression of IL-23p19 mRNA and p40 (IL-12/IL-23) mRNA were higher in psoriatic lesion than those of non-lesional skin and normal skin. The levels of IL-23p19 mRNA and p40 (IL-12/IL-23) mRNA were higher in psoriatic non-lesional skin than normal skin. However, no significant difference was found in the level of IL-12p35 mRNA among the psoriatic lesional skin, non-lesional skin and normal skin. It was suggested that IL-23 might be more important in the pathogenesis of psoriasis than IL-12.

Objective To investigate the role of intestinal fatty acid binding protein (IFABP) and blood procalcitonin (PCT) in diagnosis of traumatic Intestinal rupture in early stage.Methods The clinical data of 58 patients with abdominal injuries admitted from May 2012 to April 2016 were retrospectively analyzed.All 58 patients were divided into intestinal rupture group (n =21) and nonintestinal rupture group (n =37).The concentrations of IFABP and PCT were detected,analyzed and compared between two groups at different intervals.Results The IFABP and PCT in intestinal rupture group were significantly higher than those in non-intestinal rupture group.The IFABP and PCT in intestinal rupture group significantly decreased after operations.There were significantly differences in IFABP and PCT between two groups at admission,4 hours after admission,preoperative period,and 24 hours after operation.However,these differences disappeared at 72 hours after operation.At the same time,the accuracy rate 92.4％,sensitivity 96.3％,specificity 72.8％ found in combination of these two biomarkers were significantly higher than those of IFABP and PCT measured separately.Conclusions The combination of IFABP and PCT detection can be used as an indicator for the diagnosis of traumatic intestinal rupture in the early stage.

Objective To investigate the utilization of damage control surgery (DCS) in treatment of the severe abdominal traumas.Methods The clinical data of 56 patients with severe abdominal traumas treated by DCS (Emergency operation,fluid resuscitation and definitive operation were used gradually.)from January 2011 to January 2013 in Department of General Surgery,Taizhou People's Hospital were retrospectively analyzed.Results Of the 56 patients,52 were cured and discharged from hospital,the clinical curative rate was 92.9％; 4 patients dead.Conclusions Abdominal traumas under going operations by applying the damage control surgery significantly increased the clinical curative rate.

Objective To discuss the expressions and clinical significance of p53 and p33ING1b in human psoriasis and basal cell carcinoma (BCC). Methods Immunohistochemistry EnVision technique was used to detect the expressions of p53 and p33ING1b in samples of 36 psoriasis vulgaris, 28 BCC and 14 normal skins. Results The expression of p53 increased while p33ING1b had a degressive expression in the control group, the psoriasis group and the BCC group. It was found significant statistical difference between the two groups (all P < 0.05). Prominent positive correlation between p53 and p33ING1b were found in both psoriasis group and BCC group (all P<0.05). Conclusions p53 coacts with p33ING1b at local lesions of abnormal proliferative diseases . It′s one of the most prominent mechanisms contributing to deviant cell proliferation.

In order to investigate the role of TNF-α and ICAM-1 in the pathogenesis of lichen planus, immunohistechemistty was used to detect the expression of TNF-α and ICAM-1 in skin le- sions of the patients with lichen planus and skin tissues of normal subjects. The results showed that positive rates of TNF-α and ICAM-1 expressions in lichen planus were significantly higher than those in normal skins (both P<0.05). Meanwhile, there was a obvious correlation between the in- crease of TNF-α and that of ICAM-1 in lichen planus. The expression of TNF-α and ICAM-1 might play an important role in the development of lichen planus.

Objective To analyze the effects of massage therapy on the inflammatory state and lung function of pediatric refractory Mycoplasma pneumonia (RMPP). Methods A total of 320 children with RMPP treated in Hebei Seventh People′s Hospital from September 2022 to August 2023 were selected in the study. According to different treatment methods, they were divided into two groups, with 160 cases in each group. The western medicine group was given conventional anti-inflammatory and other symptomatic treatment, while the massage group was given dialectical massage treatment based on the western medicine group. The clinical efficacy, duration of disappearance of clinical symptoms, pulmonary function indexes, serum inflammatory factors, immune function indexes and total incidence of adverse reactions were compared between the two groups. Results The total effective rate of massage group was higher than that of control group (P < 0.05). The disappearance time of fever, cough, sputum and lung moist rales in observation group was shorter than that in control group (P < 0.05). After treatment, the peak expiratory flow (PEF), maximum mid-expiratory flow (MMEF) and forced vital capacity (FVC) in the massage group were higher than those in the control group (P < 0.05). The levels of serum C-reactive protein (CRP), tumor necrosis factor-α (TNF-α) and interleukin-6 (IL-6) in the massage group were lower than those in the control group after treatment (P < 0.05). After treatment, CD3⁺, CD4⁺, CD4⁺/CD8⁺ in the massage group were higher than those in the control group (P < 0.05), and CD8⁺ was lower than that in the control group (P < 0.05). There was nosignificant difference in the total incidence of adverse reactions between the massage group and the western medicine group (P>0.05). Conclusion Massage based on syndrome differentiation combined with western medicine can effectively relieve fever, cough and other symptoms of RMPP children, reduce inflammatory response, improve lung function and immune function, and has less adverse reactions.

Objective To establish a high-performance liquid chromatography method for the determination of related substances in diazepam rectal gel. Methods The Agilent ZORBAX Eclipse Plus C18 (4.6 mm×150.0 mm, 3.5 μm) column was used with a mobile phase consisting of 10 mmol/L potassium dihydrogen phosphate buffer (adjusted to pH value to 6.0 with 0.5 mmol/L sodium hydroxide solution) and methanol. Gradient elution was performed at a flow rate of 1.0 mL/min, with a column temperature of 30 ℃ and a detection wave length of 234 nm. Results The chromatographic peaks of diazepam and known impurities Ⅰ to Ⅶ showed good resolution. Diazepam and known impurities Ⅰ, Ⅱ, Ⅲ, and Ⅳ exhibited good linearity in the concentrations ranging of 0.01 to 10.05 μg/mL, 0.01 to 9.92 μg/mL, 0.01 to 10.24 μg/mL, and 0.01 to 10.18 μg/mL, respectively (r²≥0.999), with average recoveries ranging from 99% to 101%. The excipients in the formulation did not interfere with the determination of the principal component and related substances. Conclusion This high-performance liquid chromatography method is highly specific and reproducible, making it suitable for the detection of related substances in diazepam rectal gel.
