The expression of microRNA (miRNA) is closely related to radio-chemosensitivity in glioma stem cells (GSCs).Moreover, the growth of glioma stem cells could be inhibited comprehensively by increasing radio-chemosensitivity and apoptosis, simultaneously with the regulation of a single miRNA,which has been confirmed by some researches.Thereby microRNA is prospective for the adoption as a specific agent in targeted therapy of glioma,so as to increase the radio-chemosensitivity in glioma stem cells.

Acta Nutrimenta Sinica 1956;0(01):-
The composition, nutritional evaluation and clinical trials of a nutritionally complete enteral preparation were presented. It was composed of glucose oligosaccharides, emulsified fat, solubilized proteins, twelve vitamins, certain minerals and trace elements. Rats were forced to negative nitrogen balance by means of protein-free diet. Body weight and serum total protein declined accordingly. When the feed was changed to this preparation in one group, and a routine one with equal nitrogen content in another, nitrogen balance was turned to positive, body weight increased, serum total protein returned to normal in both groups. The increments of nitrogen balance and body weight were, however, higher significantly in the group fed with the preparation than that with routine diet. The biological value, net protein utilization and protein efficiency ratio of the solubilized proteins in the preparation were higher than casein in the routine feed. Twenty surgical patients having the preparation as the sole source of nutrients could take around 8.37MJ(2000 kcal)a day. Nitrogen balance turned from negative to positive in an average time of 3.6 days. Body weight, serum total protein, serum albumin were all increased. Fourty patients took this as dietary supplement and the similar results were observed too. Clinical effects were excellent in all cases, especially for healing of surgical wounds and fistula. Incidence of diarrhea was 3.3%.

Objective To establish the quality standard of Qingshen Granules. Methods Thin-layer chrmatography was used to identify Rheum officinale Baill., Hedyotis Diffusa Wild. and Coptis chinensis Franch.. The contents of rhein, emodin and chrysophanol were determined by HPLC. The HPLC consisted of Kromasil C18 (4.6 mm×250 mm, 5 μm), methanol-0.1% phosphonic acid (70∶30) as mobile phase, flow rate of 1.0 mL/min, detection wavelength at 245 nm, and the column temperature was 30 ℃. Results The results of TLC showed that relevant spots were clear without interference against the negative sample. The calibration curves for rhein, emodin and chrysophanol were found to be linear within the range of 0.003 3-0.42 μg (r =0.999 9), 0.008 0-0.51 μg (r=1.000 0), 0.009 9-0.32 μg (r=1.000 0), respectively. The average recoveries were 98.84%, 99.04% and 100.35% with RSD of 1.30% (n=6), 1.34% (n=6) and 1.89% (n=6), respectively. Conclusion The methods are accurate and quick in qualitative identification and quantitative assay, and can be used for the quality control of Qingshen Granules.

Objective To investigate the relationship between clinical presentation and pathological characteristics in HBeAg negative chronic hepatitis B(CHB) patients with steatosis, and to find out the predictors of hepatic inflammation and fibrosis. Methods HgeAg negative CHB patients with (n=56) or without (n=60) steatosis confirmed clinically and pathologically were enrolled in the study. All patients were examined for fasting blood glucose(FBG), fasting insulin (FINS), triglyceride (TG), cholesterol (TC), alanine aminotransferase (ALT), aspartate aminotransferase (AST), gamma-glutamyhransferase (GGT), alkaline phosphatase (ALP) albumin (Alb), globulin(Glb), homeostatic model assessment of insulin resistance (HOMA-IR), HBV-DNA and body mass index(BMI). The association of above parameters with hepatic inflammation, fibrosis and fatty deposition were analyzed statistically. Results It was demonstrated that BMI, FBG, FINS, TG, TC, GGT, ALP , Glb and HOMA-IR were significantly higher in HBeAg negative CHB patients with steatosis than those without steatosis (P<0.05). Whereas the levels of HBV-DNA, Alb, ALT and AST were significantly lower in HBeAg negative CHB patients with steatosis compared with those without steatosis (P<0.05). The hepatic inflammation and fibrosis were aggravated in patients with steatosis. It was implicated that BMI,FBG, FINS, TG, TC, GGT and HOMA-IR(all P values 0.05) were significant predictors for hepatic steatosis, while ALT, AST, Glb and HBV-DNA(all P values <0.05) were significant predictors for hepatic inflammation. And the predictors for hepatic fibrosis were ALT, AST, Alb, Glb and HBV-DNA(all P values <0.05). Conclusions Hepatic steatosis is common in HBeAg negative CHB patients which is positively associated with parameters including BMI, FBG, FINS, TG, TC, GGT, ALP and HOMA-IR. Besides steatosis, the hepatic inflammation and fibrosis are also aggravated in these patients.

Chinese Journal of Endocrinology and Metabolism 2023;39(8):651-658
Objective:To systematically evaluate the efficacy and safety of iGlarLixi in the treatment of type 2 diabetes, providing evidence-based support for rational clinical medication. Methods:A systematic review was conducted by retrieving articles from PubMed, Embase, Cochrane Library, Web of Science, Sinomed, CNKI, Wanfang, and VIP databases to collect randomized controlled trials comparing the efficacy and safety of iGlarLixi(intervention group) with placebo or other anti-hyperglycemic drugs(control group) in the treatment of type 2 diabetes. The search was conducted from the inception of the databases up to August 2022. Two reviewers independently screened the literature, extracted data, and assessed the risk of bias in the included studies. Meta-analysis was performed using RevMan 5.4 software. Results:A total of 11 studies with 6 392 patients were included in the meta-analysis. The results of the meta-analysis showed that in terms of efficacy, compared to insulin and GLP-1RAs, iGlarLixi demonstrated better reduction in patients′ HbA 1C levels(Insulin group WMD=-0.40, 95% CI -0.54--0.27, P<0.001; GLP-1RAs group WMD=-0.86, 95% CI -1.05--0.68, P<0.001), increased HbA 1C target rate(Insulin group OR=2.83, 95% CI 2.00-3.99, P<0.001; GLP-1RAs group OR=6.45, 95% CI 4.81-8.64, P<0.001), increased HbA 1C control rate without weight gain(Insulin group OR=3.00, 95% CI 2.43-3.71, P<0.001; GLP-1RAs group OR=2.67, 95% CI 1.76-4.06, P<0.001). Furthermore, iGlarLixi showed an advantage in weight reduction compared to the insulin group and demonstrated superior reduction in fasting plasma glucose compared to the GLP-1RAs group. In terms of safety, the incidence of hypoglycemic events in the iGlarLixi group was similar to that in the insulin group, but the incidence of gastrointestinal adverse events was higher than that in the insulin group. There was no difference in the incidence of gastrointestinal adverse events compared with GLP-1RAs, but the incidence of hypoglycemic events was higher in the iGlarLixi group. The incidence of serious adverse events was similar to that in the insulin and GLP-1RAs groups(Insulin group OR=0.94, 95% CI 0.71-1.23, P=0.640; GLP-1RAs group OR=0.97, 95% CI 0.61-1.52, P=0.880). Conclusion:iGlarLixi is superior to insulin but inferior to GLP-1RAs in reducing body weight, and the overall incidence of adverse events is not significantly different from that of insulin and GLP-1RAs, indicating that iGlarLixi is well tolerated and safe, and has a good clinical application prospect.

Objective:To assess the correlation between circulating chemerin and two indicators of renal function, estimated glomerular filtration rate (eGFR) and urine albumin creatinine ratio (UACR), in individuals with type 2 diabetes and to determine whether chemerin is an independent marker of early renal insufficiency. Methods:A total of 742 patients with type 2 diabetes were recruited into the cross-sectional community study. Basic information, anthropometric parameters, and biochemical parameters of these individuals were determined and collected, and serum chemerin level was measured using enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay. Results:Chemerin levels were significantly higher in the eGFR-impaired group compared with eGFR-normal group, and macroalbuminuria group compared to the normal or microalbuminuria groups. Spearman′ rank correlation analysis showed serum chemerin level was correlated with eGFR ( r=-0.25, P<0.001), UACR ( r=0.23, P<0.001) and some other biochemical indicators such as triglyceride. And univariate and multivariate logistic regression analyses revealed circulating chemerin was an independent risk factor for eGFR impairment or proteinuria after adjusting corresponding covariates. Receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curve analysis showed that the area under curve (AUC) of circulating chemerin for predicting early impaired eGFR in type 2 diabetes was 0.747, while the AUC of circulating chemerin for predicting macroalbuminuria in type 2 diabetes was 0.748. Conclusion:Circulating chemerin is associated with eGFR or UACR and may be a potential diagnostic marker for early renal insufficiency in type 2 diabetes.
