With the progress of science technology,the 3D technology has raised comprehensive attention for its application value in medical field,especially in the orthopedic field.It has been mainly used before complicated orthopedic surgeries,and several studies have focused on 3D duplicated materials used in the treatment of bone defect.However,there are seldom studies about the 3 D technology used during surgeries,such as whether it is possible to 3D print internal fixation materials of bone fracture (the materials have biodegradability and excellent biomechanical characteristics),which can not only promote the healing of fracture,but also reduce the pain of second surgery for the patient.This paper reviews and summarizes the exploration of foreign and domestic scholars about the application value of 3 D printing technology used in complicated bone fracture,and proposes a forecast to the developing trend of the technology used in future orthopedic surgeries.

Objective To investigate the clinical features of patients with multiple sclerosis (MS) and restless legs syndrome (RLS) and to further examine relevant factors that may contribute to the co-occurrence of MS and RLS.Methods Seventy MS patients were recruited in the present study.The RLS screen was further performed in MS patients based on the diagnostic criteria for RLS.MS patients with RLS were designated as the case group and MS patients without RLS served as the control group.The clinical data including age of MS onset,MS duration and clinical disability by the expanded disability status scale (EDSS) were analyzed.Results There were 12 MS patients with RLS in total 70 MS patients and the incidence rate was 17.1％.The average age of MS onset in the RLS group was (47.6 ± 10.0) years,and (40.1 ± 10.4 ) years in the control group.The difference of average age of MS onset was found to be significant (t =2.29,P =0.030).The average history of MS in the RLS group was ( 12.6 ± 6.8 ) years,and ( 8.2 ± 6.6) years in the control group ( t =2.10,P =0.039).The average EDSS of the RLS group was 4.5 ±2.5,and 2.5 ±2.0 in the control group (t =3.02,P =0.004).There was no significant association between RLSRS and EDSS in MS patients with RLS (P =0.15).Conclusion The incidence rate of RLS in MS patients was high.Among patients with MS,RLS was associated with older age,longer MS duration,and more severe disability.

Objective: In order to further investigate the structural/functional relationship of TRALL. Methods: We did homology modeling for the extracellular segment of TRAIL, which is from R117 to G281, totally 165 aa residues long. The modeling software is Insight II from MSI/Biosym and the modeling work is based on the three dimensional structure of TNF-?. Results: From the modeling result, it can be seen that the modeled structure of TRAIL contains 10 ?-sheets and homologs for all these sheets could be found in TNF-?. This just confirms with the principle that the structurally con-seived regions within molecules of the same structure family should experience relatively small sequence mutations. In addition, the credibility of the modeled structure is checked by the way of inverse folding from Profile-3D. Conclusion: The result shows modeled structure is generally correct.

Objective To observe the effect of tendon-bone healing after anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction through BFGF and PDGF.Methods Based of seventy two healthy matured New Zealand white rabbits underwent ACL reconstruction.Devide three groups through different methods,group BFGF,group PDGF,group normal.Results The maximum loads of group BFGF and PDGF after 2 and 5 weeks are higher than group normal,there was significant difference in maximum loads (P <0.05).The max stiffness of group BFGF and PDGF after 2 and 5 weeks are higher than group normal,there was significant difference in maximum loads(P <0.05).Conclusion The group BFGF and PDGF can promote tendon-bone healing by increasing the vascularization and blood vessels of the tendon-bone interface and vascular endothelial growth factor.In biomechanics,group BFGF and PDGF can pro-mote maximum loads、max stiffness and hardness of tendon-bone healing.

Objective: To assess the activity of cathepsin D (CAT-D) and alpha-1 antitrypsin (AAT) in blood in patients with hip or knee osteoarthritis, and to explore whether these two enzymes could be served as serum biomarkers for cartilage degeneration. Methods: hTe activity of CAT-D and AAT in blood serum of 44 women and 26 men with hip or knee osteoarthritis was determined by the method of ELISA before total joint replacement and on the 10th day atfer the surgery. One hundred healthy volunteers were chosen as the control. All datawere analyzed by using SPSS19.0 sotfware. Results: Compared with the controls, the activity of CAT-D in patients with osteoarthritis was decreased by 25% (P<0.05) and 50% (P<0.05) before and atfer the surgery, respectively. hTe activity of AAT in the osteoarthritis patients before the surgery was not signiifcantly changed compared with the control group (P>0.05), but it was increased by 80% after the surgery than that in the control group (P<0.05). hTere was no signiifcant difference in the activities of 2 enzymes between hip and knee osteoarthritis (P>0.05). hTe gender, hypertension, diabetes and age did not affect the activities of the 2 enzymes (P>0.05). Conclusion: AAT might be a possible inflammatory indicator in the osteoarthritis. CAT-D and AAT enzymes are not affected by gender, age, hypertension and diabetes, etc, and they might be served as potential biomarkers for cartilage degradation.

Objective To explore the auxiliary method of urethral reunion operation on bulbous urethral complete rupture by en-doscope .Methods 11 cases of bulbous urethral complete rupture were inserted urethral probe from suprapubic puncture cystosto-my ,when it was difficult to find near end of disrupt urethra only by endoscopic realignment .Results 9 cases were reconstructed in one-stage endoscopic urethral realignment with the aid of urethral probe from suprapubic puncture cystostomy .Conclusion Ure-thral probe from suprapubic puncture cystostomy will improve the success rate of one-stage endoscopic urethral realignment for the cases of bulbous urethral complete rupture .

Objective To explore the expression of EphB4 and VEGF in esophageal cancer tissues and their relationship with microvessel density (MVD ) ,and analysis the curative effect of postoperative esophageal cancer radical under thoracoscope . Methods Theexpression of EphB4 and VEGF was detected by immunohistochemistry in tumor specimens from 76 cases of esopha-geal squamous cell carcinoma and paratumor normal specimens ,used CD34 as marker to count MVD .According to the situation of expression of EphB4 and VEGF ,we analysis their relationship with lymph node metastasis rate ,recurrence and 5-year survival rate . Results The positive expression rate of EphB4 and VEGF in cancerous tissue (57 .89% and 61 .84% ) ,were significantly higher than that in tissue adjacent to carcinoma(0 and 7 .89% )(P<0 .05) .The positive expression rate ofEphB4 and VEGF in high MVD values of patients (67 .44% and 76 .19% ) ,were significantly higher than thatin low MVD values of patients (45 .45% and 44 .11% )(P<0 .05) .The positive expression rate ofEphB4 and VEGF in the patientswith lymph node metastasis group and associ-ated with recurrence ,were significantly higher than that of group without lymph node metastasis and group without recurrence (P<0 .05) .The positive expression rate of EphB4 and VEGF in patients of greater than or equal to 5 years of survival rate(45 .00% and 45 .45% ) ,were significantly lower than in patientsof Less than 5 years of survival rate (80 .36% and 85 .19% )(P<0 .05) .Conclu-sion EphB4 and VEGF are highly expressed in esophageal cancer tissue ,which may be closely associated withmicrovessel density , and lymph node metastasis ,recurrence and 5 years survival rate ;the curative effect of positive expression rate of EphB 4 and VEGF is poor .

BACKGROUND:Neuroblastoma is a common solid tumor in children. Pediatric tumors are little affected by environmental factors, but closely related to child development. The suspension method is an effective and reliable method to harvest neoplastic stem cel s.
OBJECTIVE:To culture the cel clones of human neuroblastoma cel line SK-N-SH and to assess the biological properties of the cel clones.
METHODS:Using the suspension method with no serum media, tumor cel clones were obtained. Immunofluorescence method was used to identify whether tumor cel clones exhibit stem cel properties. SK-N-SH neuroblastoma was labeled by luciferase, and tumor cel clones and tumor cel s were seeded onto the back of nude mice to monitor cel proliferative properties in nude mice using in vivo imaging.
RESULTS AND CONCLUSION:Using the suspension culture method, SK-N-SH neuroblastoma cel s could successful y develop into cloning bal s. Under serum-free culture, cloning bal s were immunofluorescently used to detect molecular markers that showed strong positive expression. Cloning bal s subcutaneously implanted into
nude mice showed the strong ability of self-renewal and differentiation as stem cel s. The cel clones cultured by the suspension method strongly expressed Nestin, but weakly expressed glial fibril ary acidic protein, neuron-specific tubulin, possessing stem cel characteristics and strong proliferation and metastasis in nude mice.

Objective　To observe the efficiency and time course of gene expression and the safety of adenoviral vector mediated gene transfer in vivo. Methods　After soaking soluble stents in a high concentration of glucose solution containing Adv5-CMV (cytomegalovirus) (control group) or Adv5-CMV/LacZ (treatment group) for 30 minutes, the stents were inserted into the lumina of cut rat carotid arteries and end-to-end anastomoses of the cut carotid were performed with standard microvascular surgical techniques. On days 2, 7, 14, 28, 60 and 90 after gene transfer, anastomotic arteries of the two groups were observed. On days 7 and 14, the ascending aortas, hearts, brains, livers, lungs, spleens and kidneys of the treatment group were observed. All samples were analyzed for the presence of β-galactosidase activity and histochemical staining. Results　β-galactosidase activity was not detected in the carotid arteries of the control group and organs not directly exposed to adenoviral vector of the treatment group. The amount of β-galactosidase activity (×10-3?U/g tissue) in the treatment group on the 2nd, 7th, 14th, 28th, 60th and 90th day after gene transfer was 3.87, 11.38, 9.8, 6.43, 3.18 and 2.43, respectively. Microscopic examination of sections from vessels of the control group and from the aortas, hearts, brains, livers, lungs, spleens or kidneys of the treatment group revealed no X-gal staining. Microscopic examination of carotid arteries of the treatment group revealed blue-staining in all anastomotic arteries and in all layers of the arterial wall observed on days 7 and 14 after gene transfer. Conclusion　Adenoviral vector can effectively infect blood vessels in vivo. After adenoviral vector mediated direct gene transfer into anastomotic rat carotid arteries, recombinant gene expression began on day 2, peaked between days 7 and 14, prominently declined after day 28, and persisted at low levels more than three months. A recombinant gene could be delivered to a specific site by direct gene transfer in vivo by adenoviral vector infection.

OBJECTIVETo perform a comparative analysis of the reactivation rate of hepatitis B virus (HBV) infection and related risk factors after treatment of HBV-related hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) by radiofrequency ablation (RFA) or hepatic resection.

METHODSWe retrospectively analyzed the HBV reactivation rate and related risk factors of a cohort of 218 patients treated for HBV-related HCC between August 2008 and August 2011; the study population consisted of 125 patients who received RFA and 93 patients who received hepatic resection. Comparisons were made using the unpaired Student's t-test for continuous variables and the x2-test and Fisher's exact test for categorical variables. Univariate and multivariate logistic regression analysis was used to assess risk factors.

RESULTSTwenty patients showed HBV reactivation following treatment, but the incidence was significantly lower in the RFA group than in the hepatic resection group (5.6% vs. 14.0%, 7/125 vs. 13/93, x2 = 4.492, P = 0.034). The univariate and multivariate analysis indicated that no antiviral therapy (OR = 11.7; 95% CI: 1.52-90.8, P = 0.018) and the treatment type (i.e. RFA or hepatic resection) (OR = 3.36; 95% CI: 1.26-8.97, P = 0.016) were significant risk factors of HBV reactivation. Subgroup analysis showed that the incidence of HBV reactivation was lower in patients who received antiviral therapy than in those who did not for both the RFA group and the hepatic resection group but the difference was not significant in the former group (1/68 vs. 19/150, x2=7.039, P = 0.008 and 0/33 vs. 7/92, x2 = 2.660, P = 0.188, respectively). However, the incidence of HBV reactivation in patients who did not receive antiviral therapy was higher than in those who did receive antiviral therapy in the hepatic resection group (12/58 vs. 1/35, x2 = 5.773, P = 0.027).

CONCLUSIONThe incidence of HBV reactivation was lower in patients who received RFA than in those who received hepatic resection to treat HBV-related HCC. Antiviral therapy prior to the hepatic resection treatment may be beneficial for reducing the incidence of HBV reactivation.
