Objective To study the interaction of genetic polymorphisms of CYP2E1 and environmental hazard factors in gastric cancer. Methods 1∶1 case-control study was carried out in Nanjing area, using PCR-RFLP technology to determined the genetic polymorphisms of CYP2E1 and epidemiological data about environmental exposure of 121 cases and controls were collected. Interaction indexes (?) were calculated to determine the type of gene-environment interaction. Results After confounding adjusted, the result showed that interaction existed in genetic polymorphisms of CYP2E1 RsaⅠand the family history of digestive system disease, smoking, pickled food, irregular diet habit, interaction indexes (?) value were 1.855, 2.626, 1.736 and 1.714 respectively. A low exposure-gene effect interaction was found in CYP2E1 RsaⅠgenotype and the frequency of pickled food consumed, while a high exposure-gene effect interaction exist in CYP2E1 RsaⅠgenotype and irregular diet habit. Conclusion Genetic and environmental hazard factors co-effect the development of gastric cancer, genetic polymorphisms of CYP2E1 and environmental risk factors show an interaction in gastric cancer.

Purpose:To investigate the effects on non small cell lung cancer(NSCLC) and untoward reactions in elderly patients using vinorelbine(NVB) and oxaliplatin. Methods:NVB 25mg/m 2 ivgtt on day 1 and 8,oxalipatin 85mg/m 2 ivgtt on day 1 and 8, at 21 days per cycle. And every case should receive at least 2 cycles. Results:Among 34 patients,complete response(CR):2.9%,partial response(PR):35.3%,stable disease(SD):44.1%,progressive disease(PD):17.6%.Total response rate(RR) is 38.2%. The side effects were myelosuppression and peripheral sensory nueropathy. Conclusions:NVB combined with oxaliplatin treating NSCLC in elderly people has some effect,and the toxixity can be well tolerated.

Objective To determine the association of glutathione-stransferase M1(GSTM1), T1(GSTT1) genetic polymorphisms, smoking and alcohol consumption with the risk of gastric cancer. Methods 1:1 matched case-control study and molecular epidemiology technique were used to analysis the genetic polymorphisms of GSTM1, GSTT1 genotype among 60 cases of gastric cancer patients and sex-and age-matched controls, who were selected from Nanjing Zhongda Hospital and Jiangsu Province Cancer Hospital. Objective To investigate the efficacy and side effects of aripiprazole combined with modified electroconvulsive therapy (MECT) in the treatment of female refractory schizophrenia.Methods One hundred and five female refractory schizophrenia patients in the Second Affiliated Hospital of Xinxiang Medical University from July 2014 to May 2016 were selected and divided into control group and observation group.Fifty-two patients in the control group were treated with aripiprazole.In the observation group,53 patients were treated with aripiprazole combined with MECT.All the patients were treated for eight weeks.Clinical efficacies were assessed with the positive and negative syndrome syndrome scale (PANSS);Wechsler memory scale (WMS) were used to evaluate the effect of MECT on memory.Adverse drug reactions were evaluated by treatment emergent symptom scale(TESS) before and after treatment in both groups.Results There was no significant difference in PANSS scores between the two groups before treatment (P ＞ 0.05).The positive symptom scores,the general mental pathology scores and the PANSS total scores in the two groups at the end of the second week were significantly lower than before treatment(P ＜ 0.05);at the end of fourth and eighth week of treatment,the negative symptom scores,the positive symptom scores,the general psychopathological scores and the PANSS total scores of the two groups were significantly lower than those before treatment (P ＜ 0.05 or P ＜ 0.01).The positive symptoms,the general psychopathological scores and the PANSS total score in the observation group were significantly lower than those in the control group at the end of fourth week of treatment (P ＜0.05).At the end of the eighth week of treatment,the negative symptom scores,the positive symptom scores,the general psychopathological scores and the PANSS total scores in the observation group were significant lower than those in the control group (P ＜ 0.05).At the end of the eighth week of treatment,the decreasing rates of PANSS score in the observation group and control group were (39.89-8.62) ％ and (31.97-± 8.17) ％,and the total effective rates were 66.67％ and 48.08％,respectively.The decreasing rates of PANSS score and total effective rates in the observation group were higher than those in the control group (P ＜ 0.05).The WMS score of the observation group decreased more significantly at the end of the second week of treatment compared with that before treatment;at the end of the fourth week of treatment,the score of the picture was louer than that before treatment(P ＜ O.05);but there was no significant difference in WMS score between that at the end of the eighth week and before treatment(P ＞ 0.05).There was no significant difference between the two groups in the TESS score and adverse reaction rate (P ＞ 0.05).Conclusion Compared with single application of aripiprazole,MECT combined with aripiprazole can significantly improve effects in treating female refractory schizophrenia and it can not increase the side effects.

Many studies have shown that chronic inflammation occurs in the brain of patients with Alzheimer's disease (AD). It is well known that long-term administration of non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) can alleviate the cognitive decline of AD patient and elderly. Several inflammatory cytokines produced in the metabolism of arachidonic acid (AA) are closely related to inflammatory diseases. Lipoxygenases (LOXs) and cyclooxygenases (COXs) play a crucial role in the AA network, the products eicosanoids have an important impact on the progression of AD. Although there are many arguments and conflicting evidence, currently LOXs and COXs are still the hot topics in the research on AD pathogenesis and drug development. Here, we review the progress in research on COXs and LOXs, including their actions on CNS and their association with AD, and explore the feasibility of LOXs and COXs as targets for the drugs to prevent and/or treat AD.

As one of the first resident standardized training bases, department of ophthalmology of Shanghai Ruijin Hospital participated in this reform process from 2010. Relevant rules and regulations (training management system , training scheme implementation system and evaluation system ) were strictly obeyed. When new problems emerged, under the guidance of department in charge, a series of regimens were formulated and improved gradually by Ophthalmology Professional Committee of Shanghai Resident Standardized Training Department. Based on reviewing and summarizing the work in the last 3 years, some thoughts and suggestions on the resident standardized training in future were put forward ,in-cluding how to better solve the“heavily used, lightly cultured” problem, the“disregarding medical ethics establishment”problem, the“disregarding assessment of teachers”problem and the“disregard-ing obtaining employment”problem.

Objectives To investigate the prevalence of left ventricular hypertrophy (LVH) and risk factors in children with chronic kidney disease (CKD). Methods The biochemical indices, blood pressure and left ventricular mass index (LVMI) in pa-tients with CKD were retrospectively analyzed. The risk factors of LVH were analyzed using Logistic regression. Results In 125 CKD patients, 32.00%were at 4th stage and 68.00%were at 5th stage. The estimate glomerular ifltration rate (eGFR) and hemo-globin (Hb) level were signiifcantly higher in CKD patients at 4th stage than in those at 5th stage. The intact parathyroid hormone (iPTH), serum phosphorus and LVMI were signiifcantly lower in CKD patients at 4th stage than in those at 5th stage (P<0.01). LVH was detected in 33.60%CKD patients. The eGFR and Hb level were signiifcantly lower in CKD patients with LVH than in those without LVH. The iPTH, serum phosphorus, systolic blood pressure and diastolic blood pressure were signiifcantly higher in CKD patients with LVH than in those without LVH (P<0.05). Logistic regression analysis indicated that only hypertension, hyperphosphatemia, moderate and severe anemia were the risk factors of LVH. Conclusion Control of hypertension, hyperphos-phatemia and anemia is the key to prevent LVH in CKD patients.

AIM: To investigate the effects of radix pseudostellariae on cardiac function and matrix metalloproteinases(MMPs) in rat chronic heart failure induced by coronary artery ligation.METHODS: Rat model of chronic heart failure was produced by ligating the coronary artery for 6 weeks.The cardiac functions were determined by observing the hemodynamics parameters.mRNA expressions of MMP-2 and MMP-9 in left ventricular tissue were detected by RT-PCR and activities of MMPs were assayed by zemography.RESULTS: Cardiac function was remarkable turbulence after coronary artery ligation 6 weeks,according to the results of the hemodynamics.The mRNA contents and activities of MMP-2 and MMP-9 in left ventricular tissue were significantly elevated.Radix pseudostellariae remarkable ameliorated the cardiac functions,inhibited the mRNA contents and activities of MMP-2 and MMP-9 in left ventricular tissue of rat with chronic heart failure after continued 5 weeks treated with decoction of radix pseudostellariae.CONCLUSION: The decoction of radix pseudostellariae ameliorates cardiac functions of rat with chronic heart failure.The mechanism maybe involves in the inhibition of the MMP-2 and MMP-9 mRNA expression and activities in cardiac ventricles.

objective:To investigate the effect and mechanism of Jianguguben capsule on osteoporosis induced by retinoic acid in rats.Methods:The rats were given retinoic acid 75mg(kg/d)for 2 weeks by intragastric administration,at the same time treated with different drugs according to various groups consecutive for 4 weeks.The bone mine density(BMD)and bone mine capacity(BMC)were assayed by double energy X-ray bone-densitometry equipment,the blood was collected to assay the activity of StrACP in serum,and the hydroxyproline(HOP)contents of femur by commercial kits,the bone’s biomechanics of femur were detected.Results:Jianguguben capsule could significantly improve the bone’s biomechanics,increase the BMD, BMC,index of dry femur’weight,the contents of HOP in femur significantly,and remarkable decrease the level of StrACP in serum of the osteoporotic rats induced by retinoic acid.Conclusion:Jiangguguben capsule has anti-osteoporotic effect on osteoporotic rats induced by retinoic acid.

Objective:To investigate the ameliorated effects of n-butanol extract from Radix Pseudostellariae(RP) on rat experimental cardiopulmonary Injury induced by acute myocardial infarction.Methods:The experimental rat cardiac and lung injury was reproduced by acute cardiac infraction ligating left coronary artery for 4 weeks.Cardiac function were assayed by hemodynamics,heart index and lung index were detected by weighting,pathologic change was checked out by histophathology,and cardiac infarction size was assayed by image analysis system.Results:After operation 4 weeks,cardiac function was disturbed according to the results of hemodynamics.Cardiac and lung index,and cardiac infarction size was significantly increased in model group.Results of histopathology indicated that cardiac myocyte decrease,cardiac fibrosis functional disorder of the heart,increase of heart index and lun index,inflammatory cell infiltration,and pulmonary congestion and edema and so on indicated the model was succeed.Continued administration of n-butanol extract from RP for 4 weeks can remarkable ameliorate cardiac function,decrease the cardiac and lung index,and attenuate the heart failure pathological change.Conclusion:N-butanol extract from RP can alleviate rat cardiopulmonary injury induced by acute myocardial infarction.The present research provided the pharmacological base of replenishing qi for invigorating the spleen and promoting body fluid production for nourishing lung.
