1.The interpretation of 2015 American Thyroid Association Management Guidelines for Adult Patients with Thyroid Nodules and Differentiated Thyroid Carcinoma:New progress in radioactive iodine therapy of differentiated thyroid carcinoma
China Oncology 2016;(1):1-12
Recently, the morbidity of differentiated thyroid carcinoma (DTC) has increased annually. American Thyroid Association (ATA) published the management guidelines for patients with thyroid nodules and DTC in 2006 in order to standardize their management. The ATA guidelines was updated for the ifrst time in 2009 and its renewed version was completed in 2015 based on the considerable progress that had been made in the ifelds such as diagnostic assessment and management of thyroid nodules, surgery and radioactive iodine therapy for DTC in recent years. This article tried to interpret the updated contents about radioactive iodine therapy for DTC in 2015 version of the guidelines.
2.Benefits of patients with differentiated thyroid carcinoma in different risk stratification from 131I therapy
Chinese Journal of Nuclear Medicine and Molecular Imaging 2017;37(8):506-510
As an important postsurgical adjuvant treatment for DTC, radioactive iodine (RAI) is administered to eliminate residual thyroid tissue as well as the potentially persistent or distant metastatic lesions. It plays a significant role in reducing disease recurrence and tumor-related mortality. The major challenge at present in RAI treatment decision-making is how to achieve optimum clinical outcome with minimal radiation exposure.ATA guidelines recommends a postsurgical recurrence-risk adapted approach to RAI treatment management based on the clinicopathological features. However, RAI therapy is not beneficial to all DTC patients. The potential benefits from RAI therapy in DTC patients with different risk stratification have attracted much attention, and are reviewed in this article in order to provide more evidence-based basis for clinical decision-making.
3.Research progress of gene mutations associated with myelodysplastic syndromes
Journal of Leukemia & Lymphoma 2016;25(7):445-448
Myelodysplastic syndromes (MDS) is a group of malignant clonal hematopoietic stem cell disorders. With the application of molecular biology techniques in a wide range of scientific research and clinical practice, studies have shown that gene mutation is one of the key factors in the occurrence and progression of MDS. Great clinical heterogeneity of MDS is associated with diversity of genes mutation, and genes research will play an increasingly important role in the diagnosis, classification and prognosis of MDS. In this review, the recent advances on these common genes will be summarized.
4.Advance on Studies of Arsenic-resistant Microorganisms and Molecular Mechanisms

Microbiology 2008;0(08):-
Arsenic is known as a toxic metalloid, which mainly exists in inorganic forms such as arsenite and arsenate in the natural environment. A number of microorganisms have evolved different resistant mechanisms for arsenic detoxification to cope with the widespread distribution of the poisonous arsenic. Four distinct microbial arsenic-resistant mechanisms have been described including As(III) oxidation, cytoplasmic As(V) reduction, respiratory As(V) reduction, and As(III) methylation. These mechanisms confer arsenic resistance in microorganisms that play important roles in the transformation and geological cycle of arsenic. This review mainly focuses on the researches on these molecular mechanisms and potential application for environmental arsenic bioremediation using microorganisms.

China Pharmacy 2016;27(15):2071-2072,2073
OBJECTIVE:To investigate the utilization of vancomycin in a hospital, and provide reference for the rational use of vancomycin. METHODS:Retrospective survey was conducted for the medical records of 180 inpatients using vancomycin from Jan. to Jun.,2015 in the hospital. The general information, usage and dosage and pathogenic examination were summarized,do-mestic vancomycin rational use evaluation criteria was conducted to evaluate the medication rationality, summarize and analyze cor-responding inappropriate questions. RESULTS:The vancomycin drug utilization index(DUI)of 180 cases was 0.88(mainly elder-ly patients);the microbial test sample submission rate was 84.44%(152 cases);there were 74 cases (41.11%) about the drug combination;32 cases(17.87%)about unauthorized use;37 cases(20.56%)about inappropriate use,in which inappropriate sol-vent(12 cases,32.43%)and inappropriate drug combination(11 cases,29.73%)were the main types. CONCLUSIONS:The clin-ical application of vancomycin is good with no abusing phenomenon, and the microbial inspection rate is qualified in the hospital. But there still exists some problems or shortcomings when using vancomycin,it is necessary to further standardize the medication monitoring of vancomycin to ensure patients’safety.

Journal of Shanghai Jiaotong University(Medical Science) 2006;0(02):-
Objective To explore the feasibility of mouse muscle-derived cells with adenovirus-mediated expression of BMP-2 in the treatment of mouse tibia bone defect via collagen sponge as scaffold. Methods Mouse adenovirus BMP-2 plasmids were prepared and identified by PCR.The adherent cells of muscle-derived stem cells cultured in vitro were passaged, cells of the third generation were selected, and recombinant Ad-BMP-2 plasmids were expressed and incubated in mouse myoblasts. The number of BMP-2 positive cells was measured using indirect immunofluorescence method, and alkaline phosphatase(ALP) method was adopted to determine the cell activity in each group. The mouse models of proximal tibial bone defect were established(n=80) and were divided into Ad-BMP-2 transfection group,Ad-LacZ transfection group, blank group and Ad-BMP-2 implantation group. The histological and radiological changes were observed 3 weeks after operation. Results It was revealed by indirect immunofluorescence that BMP-2 positive cells were frequently found in Ad-BMP-2 transfection group, while none were observed in Ad-LacZ transfection group and blank group. The ALP activity was higher in Ad-BMP-2 transfection group, while that was extremely low in Ad-LacZ transfection group and blank group. There was most typical imaging of repair and healing of bone defect in Ad-BMP-2 transfection group, followed by Ad-BMP-2 implantation group, while there was no typical imaging in Ad-LacZ transfection group and blank group. Conclusion The constructed Ad-BMP-2 plasmids can effectively transfect mouse muscle-derived cells, and the transfected cells can continuously express effective amount of BMP-2.The mouse muscle-derived cells with adenovirus-mediated expression of BMP-2 play a definite role in the treatment of bone defect, which provides an effective method and material for clinical application.

Journal of Practical Stomatology 2000;0(05):-
Objective: To investigate the expression of CSF-1 and TGF-?1 in periodontal tissue of third premolar germ during second primary molar orthodontic movement in dog. Methods: Orthodontic appliance with the force of 0.784 N for the mesial movement of mandible second primary molar was used in 4 dogs for 14 d.Then the samples including mandibular second and third molars and surrounding tissues were prepared for CSF-1 and TGF-?1 detection by immunohistochemical staining technique. Results: Strong CSF-1, TGF-?1 expression was found in the dental follicle and alveolar bone of mesial part of third premolar germ, and weak in the dental follicle and alveolar bone of distal part of third premolar germ in the treated side of the dogs. Conclusion: CSF-1 and TGF-?1 may play roles in the bone remodeling for orthodontic primary tooth movement.
