Chinese Journal of Geriatrics 2012;31(8):676-678
Objective To evaluate the effect of Guanmaining tablet in the treatment of acute coronary syndrome (ACS) and its intervention of brain natriuretic peptide (BNP),high sensitivity C reactive protein (hs-CRP) and carotid atherosclerotic plaque. Methods Totally 100 ACS patients were divided into observation group and control group (n=50 for each).Control group was received nitrates, angiotensin converting enzyme inhibitors and other conventional drugs, while observation group received Guanmaining tablet plus conventional drugs. Results The total efficiency of observation group was higher than control group (92.0% vs. 66.0%,P<0.01).No bleeding rate was observed more frequently in observation group compared with control group (84.0% us.62.0%,P<0.05).After 10 d treatment, the levels of BNP and hs-CRP of two groups were declined compared with before treatment (P<0.01),and observation group decreased more significantly than control group ( P< 0.01). After 10 d treatment, the size of plaque plaque thickness and intima media thickness(IMT) were decreased, and observation group showed more obviously (P<0.05).There were no adverse reaction in two groups. Conclusions Guanmaining tablet may be reliable effect in the treatment of ACS patients, through improving BNP and hs-CRP levels and inhibiting atheromatous plaque.

Objective To investigate the value of SPECT imaging in the evaluation of rCBF improvement after bypass surgery in patients with moyamoya disease (MMD).Methods Retrospective analysis was conducted in 13 patients with MMD (5 children aged 3-8 years and 8 adults aged 45-55 years). The SPECT cerebral perfusion imaging data before and after operation were analyzed.Age matched subjects who underwent cerebral perfusion imaging for accidental headache (10 children,10 adults) were taken as control group.Two-sample t test or paired t test was used to compare rCBF of different groups. The brain DSA and MRI results during follow-up were taken as the reference of perfusion improvement. Results Based on visual judgment of SPECT,11/13 in MMD group showed significant improvement in the blood perfusion reduction area after surgery. The coincidence rates of SPECT-DSA and SPECT-MRI was 8/11 and 9/11,respectively.The rCBF of the control group and MMD group before surgery was (51.19±1.63) ml · 100 g-1 · min-1 and (38.83±2.22) ml · 100 g-1 · min-1 respectively (t=-18.465,P<0.05).The rCBF of MMD group before and after surgery was significantly different ((38.83±2.22) ml · 100 g-1 · min-1 vs (45.03±2.63) ml · 100 g-1 · min-1,t=-11.707,P<0.05).The rCBF of MMD group after surgery and the control group was significantly different (t =-8.313,P<0.05).There was no significant difference of rCBF between the children and adults in the control group ((51.81±1.82) ml · 100 g-1 · min-1 vs (50.55±1.18) ml · 100 g-1 · min-1 ;t=0.081,P>0.05).Conclusions Brain perfusion SPECT may effectively reflect the regional distribution and changes of blood flow in the ischemic tissue before and after MMD surgery. Thus it may be helpful in evaluation of the effect of surgical treatment.

Objective To evaluate the expression of endothelial Per-ARNT-Sim domain protein-1(EPAS-1)/hypoxia-inducible factor-2?(HIF-2?) and its relationship with vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) in bladder transitional cell carcinoma (BTCC). Methods The expression of EPAS-1/HIF-2? and VEGF by immunohistochemical staining was examined in 60 cases of BTCC (Grade Ⅰ in 28 cases,Grade Ⅱ in 12,Grade Ⅲ in 20) and 8 subjects with normal urothelium. Of the 60 cases 29 had superficial (≤pT 1) bladder cancer and 31 had invasive (≥pT 2 bladder cancer).?2 test was used to assess the relationship between EPAS-1/HIF-2? and VEGF expression versus tumor grade and stage. Results The expressions of EPAS-1/HIF-2? and VEGF were negative in all normal bladder tissue but high in BTCC.Of the 60 cases,34 (56.6%) were positive and 26 ( 43.4%) were negative for EPAS1/HIF-2?.Four cases (14.3%) of Grade Ⅰ,11 (91.7%) of Grade Ⅱ and 19 (95.0%) of Grade Ⅲ were positive for EPAS-1/HIF-2?. Positive staining was seen in 5 (17.2%) of the superficial and 29 (93.5%) of the invasive cancer cases.EPAS-1/HIF-2? positivity was correlated with high histological grade (r=0.862,P

Objective:To establish the method of determination of the contents of Danshensu and Protocatechuic aldehyde in Huoxue Mixture simultaneously by RP HPLC.Methods:The determination was carried out with Inertsil ODS column. The mobile phase consisted of methanol 0.5% HAc (22∶78) and UV detection wavelength was 280nm. Results:The average recovery of standard addition were 96.7%, RSD =1.12% ( n =5) for Denshensu, and 97.0 %, RSD =1.53% ( n =5) for Protocatechuic aldehyde, There was a good linear relationship between the absorption area value and the concentration in the range of 1.25~10?g for Deshensu and 0.25?g~2.0?g for Protocatechuic aldehyde. Conclusion: The method is simple, acurate, reproducible and can be used for content determination of Huoxue Mixture.

Objective: To investigate the antitumor activities and apoptosis mechanisms of 3,7-dinitrodibenzobromonium salt (cBr) on human chronic myelogenous leukemia K562 cell line in vitro. Methods: The antitumor activities of cbr were tested by Trypanblau exclusion test, MTF coloretric assay and clonal forming test, and the mechanisms were studied by morphological analysis (microscopy, fluoreseencemicroscopy, electron microscopy) and flow cytometry analysis. Resuits: cBr could inhibit of the proliferation K562 cells and kill them significantly. The effects varied with different time and doses, and IC50 of cell colony forming rate was 0. 497 mmoL/L. Apoptosis rate tested by flow cytometry was 70.34%,and apoptotic characteristics could be found by microscopy and electron microscopy. Conclusion: cBr could inhibit K562 cell proliferation greatly, and could induce K562 cells into apoptosis.

Objective To investigate the effects of comprehensive pain management on pains and recovery of knee function of patients who hadundergone total knee arthroplasty(TKA).Methods A total of 50 patients who had undergone single-knee TKA surgery were selected and divided into 2 groups of 25 patients each:the study group and the control group. The control group was given patient-controlled epidural analgesia while the study group was given comprehensive pain management. The two groups were compared in terms of score on pain within 7 days after operation, knee joint activity and the incidence of adverse reaction within 10 days after operation(the 1st,3rd,7th,10th day). Results Within 7 days, the scores on pain in the study were significantly lower than those in the control group(P<0.05).The scores on the knee joint activity in the study group on the 1st,3rd,7th,10th day were significantly higher than those in the control group(P<0.05)and the incidences of adverse reaction were significantly lower as well (P<0.05).Conclusion Comprehensive pain management is effective for post-surgery pain control and the hastened TKA patients, and the improved quality of life.
