Objective The expression of hematopoietic stem cell and neural markers on placenta adherent cells and their association were investigated, the potential of neural differentiation of placenta adherent cells may demonstrate the relationship between placenta adherent cells and hematogenesis and neurogenesis. Methods Isolated adherent cells in human placenta tissue were stained immunocytochemically with Nestin,MAP2,MBP,CD133,CD34 antibody to detect protein production and induced neural differentiation with ?-mercaptoethanol and retinoic acid.ResultsIsolated placenta adherent cells confirmed to be heterogenous expressed CD133,Nestin,MAP2 weakly and CD34 none. While induced cells showed neural like morphology, strong positive for Nestin、MAP2 and weak positive for MBP and GFAP in immunocytochemical staining. Conclusion Human placenta adherent cells can be induced into neural like cells in vitro with histological characteristics of mesenchymal stem cell(MSC),it provides a new source for clinical application of hMSCs.

Objective To determine the risk factors of biliary complications (BC) after liver transplantation (LT),and to provide a theoretical basis to reduce the rate of postoperative biliary complications.Method A meta-analysis was carried out using Revman 5.1.Results Eighteen studies were identified, including 524 patients in the case study group (BC group) and 3967 patients in the control group (Non-BC group). There were no significant differences in donor age, recipient age, primary disease, warm ischemia time, second warm ischemia time, anhepatic phase time and cytomegalovirus infection. The incidence of biliary complications after liver transplantation was significantly different in male than female patients (OR: 1.40; 95% CI: 1.09~ 1.79;P=0.008).Child C hepatic function increased the incidence of postoperative biliary complications (OR: 1.95; 95% CI: 1.02 ~3.76;P=0.04).Using a T-tube for biliary reconstruction significantly increased the incidence of postoperative biliary complications (OR: 2.00 ; 95 % CI: 1.30~ 3.08 ; P 0.002).The incidence of biliary complications after liver transplantation was significantly different in patients with rejection than those without (OR: 1.80;95% CI:1.11~2.93;P 0.02).Patients with hepatic artery complications were associated with a higher incidence of postoperative biliary complications (OR: 3.15;95% CI: 1.37~7.23 ;P=0.007).Patients in the BC group had a significantly longer cold ischemia time and operative time (P<0.01).Conclusions A male recipient,Child C hepatic function,T-tube drainage, rejection, hepatic artery complications, prolonged cold ischemia time and prolonged operative time were factors affecting the risk of biliary complications.Biliary complications after liver transplantation had no relationship with donor age, recipient age, primary disease, warm ischemia time, second warm ischemia time, anhepatic phase time, and the presence or absence of cytomegalovirus infection.

Objective The expression of hematopoietic stem cell and neural markers on placenta adherent cells and their association were investigated, the potential of neural differentiation of placenta adherent cells may demonstrate the relationship between placenta adherent cells and hematogenesis and neurogenesis. Methods Isolated adherent cells in human placenta tissue were stained immunocytochemically with Nestin, MAP_2, MBP, CD133, CD34 antibody to detect protein production and induced neural differentiation with β-mercaptoethanol and retinoic acid. Results Isolated placenta adherent cells confirmed to be heterogenous expressed CD133, Nestin, MAP_2 weakly and CD34 none. While induced cells showed neural like morphology, strong positive for Nestin, MAP_2 and weak positive for MBP and GFAP in immunocytochemical staining. Conclusion Human placenta adherent ceils can be induced into neural like cells in vitro with histological characteristics of mesenchymal stem cell(MSC) ,it provides a new source for clinical application of hMSCs.

Objective To assess the prevalence and risk of coronary artery disease (CAD) in Chinese adults with type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) using electron beam computed tomography (EBCT) and EBCT angiography (EBCTA). Methods: Ninety-four cases were enrolled in this study including diabetes (n=28), impaired glucose tolerance (IGT, n=30), coronary heart disease (CHD, n=11), and control (n=25). Cardiac EBCT plain scanning and EBCTA were performed on all of these subjects to evaluate coronary artery calcification (CAC) scores, and number of segments of stenosed coronary arteries. Both CAC and/or coronary artery stenosis were defined as patients with coronary artery lesions (CAL). Results CAC scores were not different with the control, diabetes, IGT, or CHD (P>0.05)groups. Compared to control (0.520±1.295), more stenosed coronary arteries segments (P<0.05) were detected in diabetes (2.964±1.915), IGT (2.200±2.024), and CHD (2.273±1.679). Number of stenosed artery segments were correlated with age (r=0.215, P=0.019),postprandial glucose (r=0.224, P=0.015), total cholesterol (r=0.323, P=0.000), and duration of diabetes (r=0.208, P=0.004). The incidences of CAL in diabetes (96.43%), IGT (93.33%), and CHD (90.91%) was substantially higher than that in normal control (56.00%, P<0.01).The odds ratio of CAL associated with having diabetes was estimated to be 7.514 (95% CI: 1.885-63.778). Conclusions Coronary artery lesions are prevalent in Chinese adults with type 2 diabetes, implying a high CAD risk. EBCTA holds potential in depicting the details of CAL and can be used to track the progression of CAD in diabetes patients.

Chinese medicine self-assembly nano-strategies(CSAN) is to utilize the self-assembly property of Chinese medicine components, so that the Chinese medicine components can self-assemble to form structurally stable nano-preparations through non-covalent interactions. The formation of Chinese medicine self-assembly nano-preparations is often a synergistic result of a variety of non-covalent interactions, and many Chinese medicine monomers are susceptible to self-assembly due to their structural characteristics, and the phenomenon of self-assembly of Chinese medicine is also common in the decoction of single or compound Chinese medicine, which has attracted the attention of researchers. It is found that CSAN can improve the solubility and bioavailability of active components in Chinese medicine, which is of positive significance for the development and application of insoluble components of Chinese medicine. The self-assembly phenomenon of Chinese medicine decoction is closely related to the therapeutic efficacy, and the study of self-assembly phenomenon of Chinese medicine will bring a new perspective for the explanation of the mechanism of Chinese medicine decoction. At the same time, traditional Chinese medicine(TCM) has unique advantages in the field of anti-tumor. The application of CSAN in the field of oncology can not only exert the anti-tumor effect of the active components of Chinese medicine directly, but also act as a natural nano-carrier to carry chemotherapy drugs for combination chemotherapy, improve the targeting of drugs, enhance the anti-tumor efficacy, and reduce the side effects of chemotherapy, which has excellent anti-tumor potential. The preparation method of Chinese medicine self-assembly nano-preparations is simple, low cost, and has better safety than traditional nano-preparations, which is conducive to the promotion of the clinical transformation of nano-preparations, and also helps to provide new strategies and perspectives for promoting the modernization of TCM. Therefore, based on a large number of researches in this field in recent years, this paper reviewed the formation mechanism, different assembly forms, formation conditions and stability of Chinese medicine self-assembly nano-preparations by searching databases such as China national knowledge infrastructure(CNKI), PubMed, WanFang data and VIP, and summarized the application of CSAN in different tumor therapies, providing a reference for further research on CSAN.
